What's happening today? Is taco Tuesday a thing in your house? What's your favourite recipe?

Work kept me off of here yesterday because it was so busy. The only problem with taking a vacation is the work is still there when you get back. I'm sad because I have no monies for prime day, not that Canadian prime day has that many deals.

No tacos here - DH made Hawaiian pizza instead for dinner. Yummy! I didn't see any Amazon Prime deals that I really liked, but I did find some good deals on Target (see separate thread I started). We picked up an auto rock and play, a boppy, and some medela microwave sterilizing bags. Wohoo! I looooove online shopping and getting good discounts - it's the best.

It's a rainy Tuesday here. DD is snuggling while we watch Mickey Mouse. It's getting harder to snuggle with the belly! We will probably head to the library this morning as DD has wanted to read the same 3 stories for a week straight. Otherwise just playing at the house and listening to rain today. Should make for good napping though!

It's a rainy day here - the perfect day to scout Amazon Prime deals all day. So far I have snagged the infant tub, a large tub of Aquaphor ointment at half-off, and a pair of athletic shorts for me. (I just posted about wanting some yesterday.) Other than that, another night of swim lessons for DD tonight.

I'm feeling better today. Not 100% but much better than yesterday. My thyroid panel results aren't in yet, hopefully soon.
Today I have an OB appt where I get the tdap shot plus I do my GD screening. Oy.

CoachTsWife Good luck with the TDAP shot and the GD screening! Hope the drink isn't too gross.

I wish it was dreary/rainy here... we desperately could use some moisture. It has just been hot, hot, hot and dry, dry, dry.
Plan to go to a playgroup this morning and of course DS is sleeping in. He seems to prefer sleeping in on days we have morning activities planned! Thanks kid.
I might get the kiddie pool outside and filled this afternoon. I feel so bad that we've been doing so little outdoors, but I've been living for the AC lately.
Happy Tuesday (and happy shopping) ladies!

Woke up to it pouring this morning. I have today off (convenient for prime day!) so we slept in a bit, but DD did not want to go to daycare.
I am trying to be productive and tackle laundry.
Taco Tuesday usually is a thing here, just standard ground beef tacos. Although DH has been getting more daring with his food choices and making shrimp tacos every once in a while!

Going to the gym and then we're going to Monterey for a few days. Excited to escape the heat and go to the aquarium tomorrow

I'm getting my hair done this afternoon. I feel like crapola. Like I want to lay in bed all day and watch sling TV and snooze.

mommabakes, that looks delicious! Coincidentally we're having taco leftovers from Sunday for lunch. I have a couple of recipes I use. This is the one I made using my IP this Sunday! Had to modify the recipe to make it work for IP. IP FTW! It's been so hot here, no way am I turning on the oven! food52.com/recipes/28812-braised-short-rib-tacosI add on avocados, romaine lettuce and fresh toms. Freezes well too! I'll compile a bunch of recipes for the freezer thread.

We also could use some rain. I feel bad for the dudes working outside. So so hot! Hubs has also been working outside early am before and late pm after work dealing with our repairs. The more we uncover the more damage we are finding. So frustrating that the builders just did such a shitty job and now poor hubs has to deal with their incompetence. I of course unable to help so he's has to solo work it. CoachTsWife, Glad to hear you're feeling much better! GL at your OB today. How far along are you that you're already getting your TDAP shot? I won't be getting it until well into 3rd tri...knock on wood I make it far into it!

duskymonkey, I'm 28 weeks. At my last appt they told me I'd get the tdap today and I questioned them on that since I got it later last time. They said it is a new recommendation to get it earlier now; supposedly gives more time to pass on the immunities to the baby. I think gamergirl may have gotten it this week, too?

Do crib mattresses need to be replaced? DD used her crib from 4 months to 28 months. She's under the 10th percentile for weight (if that matters). I didn't know if it was recommended to replace crib mattress or if there are signs to look for in case it needs to be replaced- like sagging or ...?

DD and I survived the first night of room sharing. We've had a good day. Dad took us out for lunch and then DD played in her pool this afternoon.
We are actually having tacos today. I don't think that was an intentional choice by my dad though. Lol

I have good news! My Counsyl results came back and my results are negative for the chromosomal issues they check for!
I actually got the results yesterday at 10 am! Pretty fast for the blood draw just being last week Wednesday!
I'm not ready to reveal the sex yet just because I need to make sure no one knows me because we arent telling anyone we know!
Not exactly sure how I'm going to audit if I know someone or not but I just want to think about it a little longer but I'm glad we know!
ETA - im acknowledging that there are too many exclamation marks in this post.

Question- do I have to buy Dreft for baby clothes, or can I use the All Free and Clear I've been using for the rest of us?

blackmamba, I switched to All Free and Clear when DS was born and have used that since - never did Dreft.

Me neither. #NoHelp Maybe a FFFC. The crib mattress I have has been passed down from my nephews. It's 10 yrs old! I've even laid down in DS crib. Another FFFC! DS seems unaffected by it's age lol! Google tells me that as long as there are no real gaps between mattress/side of crib and it's still firm (no indentation remains when you press your hand on it) them it should be fine

Just signed DD up for fall soccer and pretty sure I'll end up regretting it. Hopefully she'll have a blast at least! It's the only activity we've found for her age.
1 more month of 4 am wake ups and I'm so ready to be done!
