Ok, so I need some ideas. My work is going to do a fitness challenge and we need to come up with some prizes. Can't be cash or cash equivalent (so not gift card/certificates). Will also need to be some that guys will like. $20-30 dollar range. My ideas of "fitness" items are very skewed. Mini bands Long Exercise bands/tubing Snazzy water bottles Protein bars Electrolyte tabs Small towel Healthy eating stuff- nice cutting boards etc, like ones with sizes, conversions, measurements on them Belt for running (or whatever) for storing keys phone, etc You might need a combo of these if you wanted it to be $20-$30

Yoga mat (even if you’re not doing yoga I find them good for stretching on vs the floor) Foam roller or roller ball Yoga blocks Gliding discs Doorway pull-up bar Exercise ball
Hand Weights or kettle bell, but I think these might be difficult to find now.
I’m enjoying this too much.

Radley you can definitely see a difference, especially if you’re 2 months PP. keep it up- I know it’s frustrating when you don’t see immediate change, but what you’re doing is working. Great job!

Hi, all. I haven’t really checked in in a bit. Yesterday was a rest day, although we swam for a little while.
This morning we swam for about 30 minutes. I just did a 15 minute at home Jamie Eason workout, and we will probably go back in the pool once all the kids are up from naps.

I’m still doing well meditating and foam rolling, but still doing the bare minimum for physical therapy.
I really need to add cardio back in, but I haven’t figured out how yet. Pre COVID, I walked at the mall or stores. Outside isn’t an option because I don’t regulate my body temperature correctly and it’s hot as Hades. And my previous inside locations aren’t an option because of COVID.

sally I have a few post run and ride stretched that I have bookmarked and do over and over a million times they work so well for me and where I always need the most stretching. I don't really think it matters if you do the same ones if it works for you and your body's needs.

I did a 30 minute pop ride of Cody's from I think yesterday. It was super fun and felt great! I meant to do a strength training afterwards but my mom wanted to come over and rehash how the first week of remote 1st grade went for DS2 (she is the primary manager of that shit show, bless her), so I didn't do anything else.
Yoga tomorrow, I have lots of time to do whatever I want on the weekends. Not going anywhere!

i may have just fallen in love with matty. i just finished his live 20 min 80's run. first, he was on there early bullshitting about a fan and i was laughing. he then proceeded to play grace kelly by mika - i love that song. than he kicked my ass with only 1 recovery and then he was grunting and making fun of himself at the end.
I was thoroughly entertained. I am beginning to like the live classes more and more... So yea, happy saturday!
for the record, I love my 4:30 am runs during the week. It's too hot by this time to run outside in the humidity.

I walked 1.25 miles on the treadmill while watching Black Panther 😭
Now I'm playing "am I leaking or just gross end of pregnancy" My water has broken everytime, so you think I'd know what's happening, but apparently I'm #new.
I had homemade waffles that H made. We'll see what today brings.

Yesterday was my birthday and I bought a new bike. Heading out for a 7 mile run soon since it has finally cooled off a little.

Good morning. My legs are still freaking sore from my boot camp 2 days ago. I’m still walking sideways down the stairs lol. But I sucked it up and got in 3 easy treadmill miles.

Frogg Toggs are my live saver this summer. Is that what the ice massage thing is? If so I need to put a reminder about it for MHs stocking. Nvm, I googled. But I need to find an ice massager. I have a couple from different random brands on Amazon that I’m pretty happy with. I haven’t tried the one by KT tape, so I don’t know if it’s any good or not, but they call theirs “ KT RECOVERY+® ICE/HEAT MASSAGE BALL.” Depending on how cold they get, the timing is different. Ice massage is 6-8 minutes and ice packs are 15-20, and you have to watch closer with ice massage. Prior to buying these, I froze small paper cups of water. You tear the paper off as the ice melts, and it gives you something to hold on to. Lol I actually prefer the paper cups, but they’re a pain in the neck to freeze and I don’t have much freezer space, so I switched to the roller balls.

I made it out for a morning run with DD. She rode her bike, I ran and we went three miles. She’s six and just mastered using the bike without training wheels. It was great!

Good morning, all. I’m out doing a 30 minute power walk with Matty. It’s fun! I need new running shoes, though. I should probably order those today. These ones are worn out enough that I can feel it.
We will be swimming today as well.

We got lucky with a “cool” patch here in very central CA- it’s only about 80-85 degrees right now. Probably will be over 100 later. At least it’s arid.

10 mile run this morning. It is so much cooler out today so it felt really easy compared to my 4-5 mile tempo runs in the recent heat and humidity. Silver linings!
Cross training with Peloton rides has been so helpful; my legs are noticeably stronger after just 3 weeks. I really like the outdoor run options on the app, too, but I wish they had more content for longer runs.

My new bike showed up much earlier than expected, originally delivery date was 6-8 weeks and I got it in 4. DH was slightly surprised at the delivery since I only got the shipping notification last night. I’m very excited but will have to wait until tomorrow or Monday for my first ride.
