So tonight I accidentally let baby’s foot touch a hot pan, and then he rolled forward out of DS2’s anywhere chair (at least into something super soft). So a major mom fail night over here! I guess in the plus side, I’ve managed not to draw blood yet while clipping his nails - always a challenge with my babies. Anyone else have any mom fails lately? Please make me feel better

Hmmm I can't think of anything off the top of my head with G. But H rolled off my (extra high) bed when he was a baby. I turned my back for a second to get a diaper and boom over the side he went. We ended up having to go back to his chiropractor because he started crawling funny after it.

Please make me feel better I have gotten skin every single time I’ve cut V’s nails. I have no idea what my issue is but I always feel so bad.

When B was around 2 weeks old, I accidentally fell asleep with him in the recliner. He somehow came out of my arms and slid off the arm of the recliner. Luckily there was a pile of clean folded laundry next to the chair that he fell onto, but then he slid off the clothes and bumped his head on the wall (it was like a 4-6 inch slide). It was the thump of his head on the wall that woke me up. 😬 He was still swaddled and everything. He didn't cry at all and didn't have any visible bruises or anything but omg I held him so tight the next couple of days after that. I felt so bad!
Our whole house except bedrooms is tile and I'm always scared that he's going to fall out of my arms and get seriously hurt.

Yes we have slate floors downstairs - they’re so hard. So we’ve covered most of them with carpets and some foam tiles.

I haven’t dropped this baby yet but I am constantly worried about my 2nd smothering him. She just can not wrap her head around the concept of space!
I’ve broken skin a couple times with nail clippings.
My friend with a 2 month old just told me how she drove all the way home without the baby buckled into the car seat. He was placed in it, just not buckled.

I clipped N's finger last night and drew blood. We cried together. I felt so bad.

It’s not very far luckily, but I realized after I got there that she wasn’t buckled.

Yes that happened with my first baby - I had taken her out to nurse and didn’t realize she wasn’t buckled in. It was a 20 minute drive in the freeway and it scared me so much that it’s never happened with the three other babies

I knocked over a decorative metal bucket yesterday. It made so much noise that it scared her and she burst into the saddest tears. Same thing the other day when I yelled at the boys who were in their room. She startles easily. I felt so bad.

Well there is a silver lining I hadn’t considered. Now if I can just keep her from rolling off a bed like my oldest did.
