tiffbabey, we told DD around our 8 week appointment when we told some of our family. She is not quite 2 yet so she didn't understand and still doesn't. benandjerrys, try Neutrogena Body Clear wash. There is probably salycilic acid in it but I would think that if you don't use it regularly it's fine. I have already used it once this pregnancy because I have some attractive bumps on my chest.

benandjerrys I am unsure if it's pregnancy safe (you would have to look it up) but try tea tree oil soap. It's good at clearing the bacteria that causes acne. However if it's hormonal, nothing will help except for a change in your hormones. 😕

The body shop carries it in a bar or body wash.

My OB told me absolutely no salycilic acid at all is allowed. He did say that benzoyl peroxide is safe though.

tiffbabey, we're telling our LO this weekend, but he's 1.5 so I don't think he'll understand too much. We happen to be travelling to visit our parents this weekend, so we're going to tell them and we bought a big brother shirt for him to wear. I'm sure they will talk to him about it.

How far along are you? 8+5
Size of baby? Wild strawberry
Symptoms: Nausea, so very exhausted, grumpy
Upcoming appointments: Appointment tomorrow that I believe is just meeting with the nurse to discuss the basics, then next Friday I meet with my doctor to check things out. Last pregnancy she did an ultrasound with a little portable machine, so fingers crossed she does that again!
Questions/concerns: Just hoping for a sticky baby and looking forward to when I can use my at-home doppler.
GTKY - If you could spend a day doing whatever YOU wanted, what would you do? Honestly, I think I would sleep. But non-pregnant, non-exhausted me would hand over the one year old to my mom, head off to a nearby island with DH and alternate between beach, shopping, eating, and drinking all the frozen run drinks.

12 weeks 4 days
plum
Nausea seems to be going away! Still comes on occasionally, but much better than before. Haven't thrown up in maybe a week. My skin is awful though.
Tomorrow is the NT scan! I'm so excited. I hope we get a good picture of the face. (Last time we got a very clear profile pic at the NT scan.) I mean, obviously I hope that everything looks good health-wise too.
No questions.
I would sleep in, make waffles and sausage, play with DD a bit but have H be the primary parent so I could take naps when I felt like it, and work on some painting. Lunch and dinner for the family would be prepared by someone else.

benandjerrys what was your bloodwork test name? I know with the Counsyl test you can see a general negative, inconclusive or positive statement without seeing the sex. It's just if you want to see the full report you click on the button and the fetal sex in on the report. I can't believe your results might be in but you haven't checked! I'm such a spaz, I could not wait.

I'm such a spaz, I could not wait. I'm not sure what it was called. There were lots of codes that I read to the insurance company but I don't remember if there were specific test names. I'm generally pretty laid back, it isn't too hard for me to be team green Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

How far along are you? 11+3
Size of baby? Poker chip
Symptoms: Nausea, tired, sore boobs, skin doing weird stuff. I'm so ready for the nausea to be done, as I'm sure we all are.
Upcoming appointments: Not until the 31st. Although I've been thinking about seeing if I can pop in for a quick Doppler check for peace of mind.
Questions/concerns: I've been thinking a lot about RCS vs VBAC, as I get to choose. DS was a bit of a traumatic experience in terms of labor (loooong; 2 failed epidurals, 2 doses of nubane didn't did anything, 2nd dose of fentanyl finally did it; catheter issues; and DS got stuck - dude has a big head and was 10 lbs 11 oz), and going through that again is a strong no. But I know labors and babies are different, blah blah blah.
GTKY - If you could spend a day doing whatever YOU wanted, what would you do? Spa time, read some great books, and sleep.

How far along are you? 9w3d Size of baby? Lug nut (about an inch) Symptoms: tired, sore. The nausea comes and goes. Upcoming appointments: I had my dating ultrasound this morning and it went excellent. I'm measuring right where I thought I should, and I got to see babies legs, arm buds and the little heart beat. I see my pcp in a couple of weeks to go over the full report (she's on vacation until then) Questions/concerns: none. I'm having a very happy day right now GTKY - If you could spend a day doing whatever YOU wanted, what would you do? I'm kind of having one of those days right now. DS is at daycare, and was there overnight for a sleepover due to my very early ultrasound. So now I'm at a Cafe eating a fresh out of the oven almond croissant, drinking a latte and listening to Will Smith by an open window. I'm going shopping shortly once the stores open. I'll probably sort baby clothes this afternoon before I pick up DS and hear all about his sleepover at the lake with his friends

How far along are you? 15 weeks
Size of baby? avocado
Symptoms: nausea, still! insomnia is starting, increased seizure activity. On the bright side, I'm feeling baby flutters!
Upcoming appointments: had lab work this morning, OB coming up on Monday and likely lab work again next week (they are being aggressive and getting my seizure med level up so I'll be going through increases and bloodwork every 3 days until it's in normal range)
Questions/concerns: Just wanting to get my seizure meds figured out. It's more annoying than anything.
GTKY - If you could spend a day doing whatever YOU wanted, what would you do? Sleep in, breakfast prepared for me, massage, maybe go fishing depending on the weather. RELAX!
