My h took the kids out for a walk, I’m watching ‘I do’ on Netflix. I’ll be a sucker for weddings forever and it is so beautifully filmed... and I really like Jeremiah . Not much else on the agenda today.

Morning! B started tennis camp this morning, he was pumped. The coaches are young guys so I think they’ll keep it fun. DH has today off (they’re alternating days in the office) so he, C and I are out looking at front doors so we can hopefully make a decision this week. Unrelated : B lost one of his top front teeth last night; he looks so much older overnight He and DH has the bright idea of putting the tooth in a little ‘treasure chest’ under his pillow. Let’s just say it made the Tooth Fairy’s job *way* more difficult...I definitely hit the floor Mission Impossible-style at one point...but I got it done!

Morning.
It's been busy over here. Last week was stressful and I still have a lingering task of getting this damn oven fixed, at least I can still use the stove. I've been looking at ranges if I have to get a new one just in case though. It's been crazy hot here feeling like 34C and I am LOVING it. I put the sprinkler on for the kids the last couple days, a definite plus of working from home.
The NHL starts up again tonight and my city is a hub city. It's fascinating what they are doing and how quickly everything came together, playing hockey in July with 12 teams in a 'bubble', what a weird time.

With C we’ll definitely have to get one of those pillows you hang on the door or whatnot—I swear that girl sleeps with one eye open!

Tooth fairy donations always go on the windowsill/nightstand. I'm not digging around the bed/under pillows for it.

SSDD here. I'm in the office for hopefully my last full week. Not sure what teleworking will look like yet.
We're in the midst of a heat wave this week and the delightful moron TKD instructor sent an email that we'll be doing sparring, no contact because of 'Rona, but bring your sparring gear. He's so dumb. The building doesn't have AC. Sparring gear is hot AF and if we're not kicking each other what the eff is the point of wearing all those pads? Needless to say the girls and I will not be wearing it.
Yesterday I watched My Spy on Prime fully expecting to be disinterested in 10 minutes. It was a surprisingly good action/comedy movie with a budget not big enough for The Rock.

Nothing like coming in to work dressed for a normal work day to find that the idiots that swore they moved your boxes yesterday to the dumpster didn't actually move them all and now you have to. Now I'm a sweaty mess in jeans and ready to go tf home. And I messed up on my unemployment payment request and have to wait for their denial, to redo it. I'm so irritated with myself. Luckily work pay day is the end of this week, so I won't be hurting for money too bad.

I keep seeing the preview for it but didn't know if i needed to watch it first. I watched it with the kids in the room and they looked in off and on in the midst of Robloxing and liked it. I'd say it's similar to Kindergarten Cop. Most of the action is in the beginning and then the very end. The majority of it was the relationship with the girl and big tough guy and her trying to play matchmaker with him and her mom. There's some bad language here and there but I don't think there was an F bomb.

Morning. The baby had me up for a couple hours MOTN so I’m dragging. One of H’s front top teeth is very wiggly and will come out soon, I’m sure. She doesn’t really wiggle it though so it’ll take some time. So far the tooth fairy has only had to come to our house one time and it went fine, hopefully that continues. That’s frustrating klong11, I’m sorry.

Hi guys- another long, annoying work day for me :/ We’re supposed to go to the pool this afternoon, so I am hoping the forecasted storms hold off.

Random question for those of you with eat-in kitchen tables, what do you keep on it on a daily basis?
I typically keep a runner and a big flat basket on it all day. The basket always has a paperback book in it (bc I read to the kids at breakfast) and my sunglasses in a case (so I can run them out with me to the deck),and sometimes an extra a cloth napkin). It will typically collect more throughout the day. I take the basket off when we sit to eat dinner together or when the kids have breakfast. I empty the basket of anything extra each night and empty it fully (no book/sunglasses) when I know someone is coming over. MH think this set up not the norm so I told him I’d crowd source.
Eta: i keep most surfaces bare, bc I do not like clutter but I find the basket necessary bc otherwise I think the little things throughout the day would end up all over.

My B is the same, his top two teeth have been loose for close to 2 months because he’s not a wiggler. After losing the one last night I think the other is pretty close.

guster I have a runner on my table also. I keep a napkin holder, salt & pepper shakers and a bottle of olive oil on it. There is also now a small vase w fake thistle flowers - leftover from decorations from a Burns Night party we had. I’m going to let them stay.

It’s a celebration for the poet Robbie Burns (wrote Auld Lang Syne), kind of the Shakespeare of Scotland, if you will. So big party on his bday in late January for the purpose of drinking lots of scotch. 😏🥃

Morning. Yesterday was a crazy day. I shared on Snapchat, but N split her eyebrow open doing somersaults on her bed and falling into her nightstand. Took her in and she got two stitches and the okay to go to sports camp right after that. So then the kids had camp until 8:45 and H slept until 9 this morning!
The kids are going to my parents this afternoon to make Rice Krispie bars with my dad. I plan on a target run and maybe a walk with L. Then the kids have camp again tonight and I’m going to a friends to celebrate my sisters birthday.

guster I have a runner and a vase of fresh flowers on the table. I have back 'summer bin' that I keep just outside the door that is stalked with sunscreen, bug spray, hats, sunglasses for each of us and a little radio for when we're outside sometimes. I also have a pair of sandals for all of us at the back. Nothing drives me more crazy than the 'in and out' to get something you need then traipsing through the house. I also have a summer bin on the inside of the garage that has all the same things and they each have a bin at the entrance that we use year round with their seasonal accessories. For the bins I use the SKUBB series from IKEA. When we're not using them they zipper down and easy to store.

One in my laundry room with towels, the kids sunglasses and sunscreen and a couple in the garage depending on what they need to take out. It is a lifesaver.
