I was looking for this thread and wondering why I couldn't find it. Because no one had started it yet.
SSDD in the office here too.
Yesterday we had a meeting about telework. I'm happy my boss is supportive, but in true fashion he's going about it like a total wuss and is going to request just 1-2 days teleworking at first. *eye roll* Some days is better than 0 days, but come on. Start bigger and bargain down if you have to, don't start at the bottom. It didn't surprise me in the least bit but he also took all the credit for the SOP I wrote. He took my work, doctored it (and mostly just added stuff that was worthless) and put his name on it. Take all the credit fucker, you just better let me work from home 75-100% of the time.

I’m here. We had a lazy day today, I wasn’t feeling to well, so we wrote vacation cards & lounged in our pyjamas until almost 12. We took a walk and saw some deer after. I really wanted some apple pie in a terras, but it took forever to get seated, then after 15 minutes they still hadn’t cleared the table out, so I was over it & we left. Played some games, the kids are watching curious George and I’m running a bath.

Here also, wfh, per usual. My ILs are leaving today and mh left for a business trip so it’s a mass exodus at my house (which I am fine with, TBH). I will try and leave all school related thoughts/comments in the school thread.  |

Morning. MIL came and got the big girls at 9 to take them to a children’s play at a park. V has been mostly napping this morning so I’ve gotten a few things done. I’m feeding her right now and then we are leaving to run a couple of errands.

I made a cajun shrimp pasta last night. My fingers still smell like shrimp. MH told me he was going to peel and devein the shrimp. spoiler alert: he did not so I had to do it. Yuck. I have no idea what some of those shrimp ate but it was nasty.

Morning! Just got back from a 4 mile walk/jog. It's too hot for that nonsense.
I changed Evie's injection appointment to next Thursday, so we are going to the lake. If my SB is a dick, I'll just grab the kid and go find a beach somewhere until people can get their shit together.
Evie went to my dad and step moms today to swim. She spent 2 days and a night over there last week before we knew about the guy from H's work.

Morning.
It’s installation day!!
But I got a call at 645am to come to work because someone has a sick kid. I agreed because I don’t HAVE to be at home for the installation since Mh will be home, but I WANT to be there just to make sure everything is how I want it. They are there now.
And my coworkers are making me regret coming in. Things they said today...
C1: If I have symptoms, I’m not going get tested just to add to their numbers.
C2: What’s the point of getting tested if results won’t be back for 10-14 days. It’s just for statistics.
C3: Kid ran fever. Wife took her to doctor, they want to test her for COVID. Absolutely not. They are just over the top. I’m not testing her for COVID.
Me: oh.

I wrote that first post a while ago, but just got around to posting it.
They were almost done with installation when we hit a snag. The overhang on the sink is more than they want, so they have to take that piece back to get it right and they will be back this afternoon. As long as it’s done right, not a big deal for me. The plumber wasn’t going to be here until tomorrow anyway.

After I got back from running my errands I took v for a walk. It’s like 80 with 65% humidity so I’m a hot sweaty mess. I took my wedding ring in to get it fixed so I can actually start wearing it again, it should be done Friday afternoon. There’s a chunk of metal missing on one of the channels where the pave’ diamonds are so I’ve been paranoid the stones would fall out. No tamper resistant caps on alcohol here that I’ve seen wineallthetime |

Huh, maybe these caps are a Michigan thing. It's not on all of them. Obviously on expensive ones but the vodka I bought wasn't expensive.
