I just ordered L and J's Halloween costumes to keep up with tradition of getting them for their September birthdays. This was my first year paying instead of them grandparents buying them. Ouch, they are pricey. Hopefully worth it considering they will be trick or treating in our house and yard LOL.

New kids' show recommendation: Emily's Wonder Lab on Netflix. A visibly pregnant scientist (science communicator, officially) and a bunch of kids do fun science activities a la Bill Nye. Each episode includes an activity you can do at home. It's a really cute show and Nugget absolutely loves it. Only sad thing is there are only ten short episodes. I think this might be one of the first kids' shows where someone is pregnant and it's not even mentioned or hidden, it just is.

She tried to get various science shows off the ground for years and finally succeeded. I'm gonna watch today!

We made ooblek on Sunday after that episode and M was thrilled.

I love that the weather has cooled off. We’re on our second playground of the day and I haven’t had a drop of sweat.

MH is on the phone with his buddy, who is expecting his second child, and I truly believe MH has forgotten the newborn life with a 2yo. LIke the memories he is relating to this poor man are not...accurate. I have heard words such as "easy" and "helpful" and "chill". Maybe he has a second family somewhere and that was his experience with them? Because my 2 yo was none of those things when we had a newborn.

Why don’t kids listen a single fucking thing? I ask myself this every day. But I have no answers.

I feel like I'm starting to cross a line into actual depression. *heavy sigh* Maybe I just need a good cry. Hopefully I'll feel better after I've had some alone time while the big two are at gymnastics.

Hugs violajack. I’ve definitely crossed the line from mild, kind of funny anxiety, to full-blown, needs to be medicated anxiety. Get help if you need it.

violajack, I’m sorry. I’ve definitely been there. It can be hard to make the initial step to address it, but in my case I couldn’t believe how much better I felt after. Like I didn’t know how bad I felt until I felt better.

My family is so loud. All 3 of them. I'm hiding up in M's room by the window AC to drown them out.

Lots of love to everyone that needs it. We are not okay, this is not normal. I think parent fatigue is a real thing. It's impossible to get away on a regular basis. Date nights are not happening here at all. And as much as I love my kids, I need that time with adults and by myself.

Also, it kind of feels like I'm on maternity leave again....
I loved being home with my kids, but I need other interaction.
I cant even go to Target and wonder around.....

Walked through the new house and the kitchen hardware isn’t what we picked. Went back and forth with the kitchen designer and ultimately, the wrong item was on the order form that we signed off on and we didn’t catch it. So it’s our fault. Luckily the ones we want come in the same size since the holes are already drilled and we can just replace them but Ugh, a pricey mistake.

J either is having a really bad allergy bout or he has some sort of cold. He has been nowhere in nearly 2 weeks, where the F would he have gotten sick from?! I dosed him with benadryl and his usual zyrtec so we will see that if helps things. If not, I have a medicine cabinet full of cold/flu remedies from when we were all deathly sick in March so I'll try those next. I will try to refrain from checking his temp hourly until he is back to normal...right now it is normal and he said nothing is bothering him except "the wall in his nose".
Glad I am not dealing with this and in-person school decisions at least? Lol. Silver lining.

I feel like that is a shared fault - they put the wrong item on the sheet for you to sign, no? But yes, in the grand scheme and relatively easy fix.

If they had you sign off on an item number without a picture or description, I’d do a little more squawking before I ate that mistake.

Yes, it was just an item number that started the same way as the hardware in the bathroom that was the same (M11...). They would have been different sizes than the ones in the bathroom, so I didn't even think to ask about the ending numbers being different. I copied both the builder's realtor, our realtor, and the forman on the email so I'm hoping there's some chatting about how to fix it going on behind the scenes too.

Oh yeah, my gosh you shouldn't be expected to double check all the part numbers! That's crazy talk. I hope they can at least meet you halfway, but in my opinion they should be covering that.
