Age- 4 weeks tomorrow, 1 month on Thursday 😭
The Good - I think we are starting to get some longer stretches of sleep at night. V’s eye goop has cleared up.
The Bad - time is going way too fast. I keep getting a headache every afternoon because I’m so bad at drinking enough water. I really need to work on that. The spot in my back where the epidural was is still bothering me so I need to get in to see the chiro this week.
Milestones/Appointments - nothing for a couple weeks
To Do List - get back on top of chores. I’ve basically just let everything go for the last month so we need to get on top of it.
Pic - poof

She’s adorable trtlcrzy! I love sleepy smiles. I have the same problem with forgetting to drink enough water and getting headaches. I get dehydrated normally, and it’s worse with hot weather and BFing. I buy the big Gatorade G2 bottles and if I feel a bad headache coming on, downing one of those usually fixes it. Age/birthday - 2 months/9 weeks, 5/15 The good - night sleep is still pretty great. Probably every third day he does a good long nap in the bassinet. Family-wise, now that both public and private schools can’t open here, we’re doing the ‘pod’ thing with two other families - it came together pretty quickly and DS1’s long term sub kindergarten teacher has agreed to work for us to teach the kids/facilitate distance learning every morning. We’re pretty sure everyone’s favorite aftercare staff member is going to work out too, to do sports/outdoor activities in the afternoons. It will be pricey but should come close to full time, which is what all the parents need to do our jobs. The bad - Ben still hates the car seat, naps are still hit or miss. DH and I had a big argument last night after the kids were misbehaving and he got stressed and went to hide and ended up basically leaving me alone to deal with dinner and bath for all four kids. I was unhappy, to say the least, when he emerged. Appts - none till 4 months! He was nearly 11 lbs at his 2-month appt last week (from 6 lbs 9 oz at birth - near median on the preemie curve) To do - fill out forms for baby to go to our in home daycare in a month. Do a gazillion house organization projects. Take stuff to goodwill.

Looks like B is a big smiler too, cute sdlaura. Sounds like you have a good plan for school. We still haven’t gotten the final decision, but school doesn’t start here till 8/27 so there’s time.

Age- 5 weeks
The Good - she is sleeping longer stretches and is having longer awake periods. So far she doesn’t seem to hate tummy time.
The Bad - she still thinks 4-4:30am is prime awake time and it takes me about and hour to get her back down, which is when H is getting up for work. Then the boys wake up at 6am. I’m so tired. SHe has a great sleep stretch after 5:30 but I dont get to enjoy it.
Milestones/Appointments - I have my 6w pp visit next week. She is smiling on purpose now
To Do List - Not much, catch up on house keeping I guess. It’s bad here.

Age- 8 weeks (2 months tomorrow) The Good - sleep is still pretty good compared to my older 2. Best sleeps are in his swing, which suck because I can only do that in the day. He's super sweet and cuddly and has the biggest smiles when I kiss his cheeks. He's also growing like a weed. The Bad - evenings suck. He gets super fussy and spends the last few hours of the day cluster feeding and crying. Milestones/Appointments - 2 month immunizations are tomorrow. To Do List - nada

Age- 3 months / 13 weeks
The Good - eating well. Growing well, into 3-6 mon clothes. He’s transitioned to poops only every few days. Both my other two BF babies pooped like all day long until they were eating solids so it was kinda freaking me out. But he doesnt seem bothered by it, so it’s just meant less diapers.
The Bad - this past weekend T had a swollen testicle ?! The doctor said it was likely a hydrocele and should resolve on its own. Seems back to normal now but was really scary! Naps are still comfortably on me or in the stroller. Really dreading the stress of trying to get on an actual sleep schedule in a crib. I really hope my big kids are out of the house in sept so I won’t have distractions.
Milestones/Appointments - nothing until 4 months appointment
To Do List - Like everyone else, stay on top of chores. I had a whole hour when T stayed asleep in the stroller after a walk today and got so much done! I need to find a good place to donate the clothes he’s outgrown. I would love for it to go to a family in need or a friend who wants hand me downs instead of the good will type places but i don’t know of any off hand right now. Will have to look.

hangry my third baby and this one poop so rarely. For a few weeks Ben only pooped once a week on Sunday mornings This last week he pooped twice. He doesn’t seem bothered by it, and it’s nice to not have to change poopy diapers very often!

Age- 14 weeks/ 3 months
The Good - The babies are officially sleeping through the night. We have consistently been getting 7:30pm-7am sleeps from them. It’s been so wonderful. Their naps are a little wonky now as they adjust to all night sleep but that’s ok. They are super chatty and smiley babies.
The Bad - As I mentioned, naps have gone a little off track. Not too terrible though. I’m debating on whether to start making them do crib naps but I’m just too scared to ruin a good thing lol. I’m very ready to go back to work which makes me feel bad but it’s just who I am. Only the rest of this week and then all of next week left.
Milestones/Appointments - Their head and neck control is getting really good! H has his neuro appt on Monday to check his flat spot. Otherwise nothing til mid August for their 4 month check up.
To Do List - n/a
Pic - I am very rarely successful with posting photos, lol. I only use mobile on my phone so idk if that has something to do with it.

willow I’m always ready to go back to work, too - and I don’t have twins. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. I really like my normal work/life balance and I trust my childcare.

G had his immunizations a few hours ago. He's so mad. Did you give him Tylenol beforehand? With DD1 I was told to give her Tylenol so it didn’t cause her as much pain. When DD2 was a baby it was then recommended to not premedicate, but then she woke up from her nap so so crabby. Like literally inconsolable for an hour. I don’t know what the current recommendation is but I will be giving Tylenol beforehand because I can’t do that again.

They tell us not to premedicate because you need to see if they're having an extreme reaction (or something like that). I gave him a dose about an hour and a half after the appointment, when he got really fussy (he was good until then).

Age- 8 weeks/ 2 months on 7/25 The Good - last night Miles slept from like 9:45-6:30am! It was so nice. But tell me why I was still SO tired, lol. Until I went and got coffee. He has had a couple much better days after being fussy/inconsolable for a week or so (I actually don’t know because I’ve lost all sense of time). He has also started smiling a lot more and it’s really sweet. The Bad - still mostly wants to nap on me or whoever is holding him. For example today SO put him down for a nap and he woke up after about 15 mins, ate a little more and fell asleep while I held him. I laid him down and he woke up after 10 minutes and I picked him up and he went right back to sleep. Currently he is still sleeping on me. I would love to be able to get some stuff done but I don’t want to risk him waking up so I guess I’ll just lay here forever 🤪 Milestones/Appointments - 2 month appt isn’t until the first week of August To Do List - So many things, lol Pic -

Age - 7 weeks (6/3) The Good - He loves his big sister and big brother. They get the biggest smiles from him. It's adorable! The Bad - He refuses to nap. He napped for about 2 hours all day yesterday. His max nap length is 45 minutes, unless I wear him and am vacuuming. I've tried everything - the SNOO, letting him sleep on me, the swing - you name it. I can't get anything done during the day because I'm holding an extremely tired baby or vacuuming. Milestones/Appointments - He had his tongue and lip ties revised last week. His next appointment is for his two month check up in early August. To Do List - So much because I have no free time during the day.

My baby is one month today 😭. Time is going too fast. On another note, I am waiting for a huge blowout. She’s been having stinky toots this morning so it’s just a matter of time. I think I’m going to take her in for a weight check today, since I was told to do that anyway at some point between her 2 week and 2 month appts.

Age- 1 month
The Good -he really is such a good baby. Doesn’t really cry or fuss unless he needs something. School starts next week for DS1. I’m nervous for covid reasons but so, so ready to get into a new routine. It’s been hard having all 3 here and not many options on places to take them. So much screen time 🙁. I was having a bad/emotional week last week and I’m feeling much better this week.
The Bad - we still haven’t cracked the sleep code yet. We usually have a decent stretch (3-4 hours) in the beginning of the night. But then up every 1-2 hours for the rest of the night. I usually give up and bring him to bed with me where he sleeps much better but man, I am getting sore from the positions it puts me in. Overall, not bad. I just feel like it’s going to go downhill from here as he gets more alert and we’re not starting from a good place.
Milestones/Appointments - he had his 1 month appointment yesterday and weighs 12lbs 8oz now! Since it took him 2 weeks to get back to birth weight, that means he’s gained 2lbs in 2 weeks! She rechecked his jaundice because he’s still pretty yellow but she wasn’t too concerned about the level. Just said we’ll see how he looks at 2 months.
To Do List - keep experimenting with sleep strategies. Take 1 month pic (I’m always late on those)
Pic -idk how 😕

Age- 2 months/ 9 weeks The Good - She has started giving a long stretch of 8-3 which has been wonderful! The Bad - I’m EBF and got my first PP period this week while at the beach. Milestones/Appointments - She is really starting to coo a lot which is adorable. 2 month check up is Tuesday. To Do List - Decide if I am returning to work. They are trying to change my schedule from 3 12 hour shifts to 4 10 hour shifts and I am not interested.

Omg magaroni, you getting your period stopped me in my tracks! My H and I didn’t use protection our first time back in the saddle because I was like, no way could I be ovulating again! I freaked out for a couple weeks and think I’m in the clear now. Now I’m worried again, ha! Did you get early periods with your others?

Seemed like a lot of people talked about it.

We were told they would call in 4-6 weeks and would then be able to make his appointment.

Our hospitals stopped all non-urgent procedures due to covid so there is quite a backlog.

I was in for an appointment with G and I just asked her how does DH get a referral, does he need to make an appointment with her to talk first, etc? She was like "oh I'll just send off a referral for him right now". Easy peasy. Of course he'll still have to follow through with the consult when they call him, but "the ball is rolling" at least.

I kind of want my H to get a vasectomy too. I mean, I got my tubes removed so I’m not really that worried because I can’t have an actual viable pregnancy. But I do worry a bit about the very small chance of an ectopic pregnancy. Idk if it’s overkill or not.
