And so begins another week. WFH Monday and Friday this week, in the office Tues/Wed/Thur. So far I'm liking this schedule although I am finding things I need to bring and leave at home instead of carting back and forth.
I got up before 5 and got my run in for the day. My boss somehow convinced me to join these 'challenges' on the Garmin connect app, so it's motivating me to get some steps in. Evie wants to go to MILs today, so I'll text her and see if there is a time that works for her or not.
I ordered an inflatable unicorn sprinkler off Amazon last night for Evie (and probably me). It should show up today. Reviews were mixed on it, but for $20, I figured it was worth a shot. It's so dry here, we need to water the yard anyway, so this will be a fun way to do it!

Morning. Sitting in my car at work because I got here early and I’m just not feeling it. I go into work today and Wednesday and WFH Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Hopefully today goes by quickly because I just want to go back to sleep.

Morning! I'm in a blah Monday mood. It's only supposed to be 80 today though so we will be outside a bunch before it gets so hot again.

I looked at that inflatable, but then remembered that Cadence some how pops every single inflatable thing we have, so I went with a cheap standard yard sprinkler.

Sounds like the pressure from the hose might be too much for it.

And you love it too...I can't be the only adult to run through a kids unicorn sprinkler. I will save it for my backyard. My neighbor said she'd join me.

We have some rainbow sprinkler type thing that took far too long to blow up, weigh down with water and toppled over with every blow of the wind, not to mention the dry time. I was not a happy camper. So the next time I told B to set up the old fashioned sprinkler, he did it himself, easy set up and clean up. The kids had a great time. I'll be putting that rainbow box with a free sign out front this week.

Morning.
Yesterday was busy, walks, bike rides and mowing the lawn, I clocked over 25K steps!. My neighbours took the kids so i could go to Costco and get B's snowsuit but i drove by and there was a line up. I dont do line ups so i just went a for a 15 min drive, it's the most freedom I've felt in months and months.
I'm just working a half day today then will head out to my Dad's grave with some flowers for the afternoon, it's been 7 years today. So crazy how times flies but it feels like yesterday.

My neighbor said she'd join me. We use it in the front yard because it's more shaded and we don't have to worry about accidental dog poop. Everyone that walks or drives by shouts how much they love it. We have an air compressor so it only takes a few seconds to blow up. M likes to hide it in my closet to scare the shit out of me sometimes. ETA My neighbors have borrowed it a few times as well. Their kids love it, too.

I can't remember if I told y'all that H's surgery is back on for Thursday. MH took him for his covid test this morning and he did surprisingly well. I'm sure it helped that the ENT performed the test since H is so used to him.

I love nature, but I could really do without the ticks... I cannot remembered these tiny suckers around that much when I was a kid. We check the kids religiously throughout the day, I removed two already from Ds. Since we check them so often, it’s not a big deal, but men it’s annoying!

Morning!
Not much on our agenda today. My dad just went to get lunch take-out from a favorite place and it’s the last really warm day til the weekend, so I’m sure the kids will swim this afternoon.
I did order new backpack/lunchboxes; our county’s final plan for schools came out over the weekend and I’m good with it so I sent in my selection—brick and mortar school. (C will be at a church preschool and apparently they’re all systems ‘go’, as well).

Morning.
I’m also not feeling it today. I’m screening and I’m a busy location until 12. My afternoon shift shouldn’t be too busy.
Any kids that swim frequently? End of last week M started complaining about his eyes burning from the pool at camp. Thursday mh said he was near tears when he picked him up and Friday he kept wetting a paper towel to rub on his eyes. I told him stop rubbing and put some eye drops in his eyes. I think it helped, but anything else I can do during the week when he swims at camp? He has goggles, but mh had to adjust them after Thursday. I told him to not put his head in the water Friday, but he didn’t listen.

lahdeedah pool chlorine seems to bother B much more so than C if he doesn’t wear goggles. He wears a pair that are kind of a goggle/mask hybrid—H got them at Target, iirc. He says they’re more comfortable and they’re larger than normal goggles so cover more space around his eyes. Not sure if that would help M?

Morning! Dh is at the pool with the big kids. I brought L back for a nap and got a workout done in the room and now I’m sitting on the patio, about to start a book.
H shocked us all yesterday by his ability to swim. Like, he just jumped in the pool and started diving for rings, and went down the slide and swam to the edge. Considering we haven’t really swam in a pool in a year, it’s pretty awesome. But this kid has no fear, which scares me.

MH said the ENT looked in H's ears today and the left tube is holding on by a thread and the right one (which is behind the eardrum that he'll be removing) has skin growing in it. Basically the skin is just holding it in place. He let MH look in there to see it. Yuck. Anyway, he said it there is fluid behind the tube when he removes it, he'll put another tube in.
I'm wondering if that is really necessary though. That same eardrum has a had a hole in it for a long ass time and never closed up on its own, so in essence is performing the same job as a tube.

M woke me up with the TV to loud this morning. So I'm annoyed and tired. J is misbehaving and MJ won't nap. This is our last week of teeball with this league, thank God. The coaches suck and its so disorganized. We signed up with our local league this weekend, not sure when it starts yet.

You know what, I have a third pair that I forgot about that is larger than what he wears. I bought a 3 pack at Costco with different styles and I just stashed that pair away. I’ll try it. Thanks!
