Did y’all know that Eliza and Alexander had 8 kids?
The youngest was named Phillip Jr. He was born shortly after the first Phillip died. Apparently Eliza was pregnant with him when Phillip had his duel.

I wish she was singing Burn to him. I think I understand why it's done the way it is, but I still wish. I also love "First Burn". I believe she burned the letters years after his death so it makes more sense this way.

Although realistically she was a woman during a time when women didn’t have rights. She was probably just as vilified as he was.

Here’s a “what if” question. Would Eliza and Alexander have reconciled if Phillip hadn’t died? Yes, but not in the same way. Love is complicated. Especially in these times marriage is a contract.

Duels are easily some of the dumbest things that have ever been. Agreed. This is another reason why women need to be in charge.

Duels are easily some of the dumbest things that have ever been. Much less stupid when fighting with swords, but yes.

Yet another amazing use of the moving stage. That moving stage was one of the most brilliant aspects of the show.

The only duel I have ever supported was on Firefly when Mal embraced that he was just an okay man.

The slow motion of the ensemble is beautiful. Physically demonstrating how it’s quiet uptown.

To be fair, I can't even get through this in my car by myself without choking up. I sound a lot like LMM in that state.

Madison wiping his eyes "please?" is the comic relief needed after all that.

Like this. Overacting. Pull it together, Lin. I think it's a pretty accurate portrayal of grief.
