What kind of car are you thinking of getting? Dh would like me to get a Ford explorer, but I’ve also been eyeing the VW atlas. There’s a nice explorer here that i peeked in the other day when the salesmen tracked me down. The biggest issue with VW or other brands is that i would have to go to the cities for maintenance since we are limited here. I would like something with a 3rd row so I can take a couple of my sisters kids or friends once in a while. I have an Atlas if you have any questions about it.

we've been looking into getting walkie talkies for S and his BFF but he lives about 3 blocks away so we haven't found the right ones. This is exactly why we wanted them though, this would be so adorable.

Also re: the UO, I saw a reference to it in the Blinds thread where I lurk pretty regularly and so I decided to check it out. I've lost pretty much my whole day to reading it. It's... a lot.

I immediately thought of you when they started chatting with each other the other day knowing that you've got a family you've been spending time with. It also gives them some sort of responsibility and freedom and they love it.

vino, that's funny - I tasked MH with finding them and he seemed to think there weren't any inexpensive ones that would work for the distance. Yours do, and when I put it in my search, I found about a dozen others in the same price range. What a dummy!!

C got some too and they have been fun for us on hikes. I bought a set for his cousins so when they all go to “Grammy Camp” in a few weeks they each have their own. I wish we had a friend nearby who he could chat with.

Bought a sprinkler for Cadence and she tried it out yesterday. She spent more time running to the back door and knocking for us than she did playing in the actual water. 🙄 #onlychildproblems I can empathize. C loves the sprinkler but needs us there to witness. It’s annoying sometimes.

Has anyone ordered from gold belly? I have to buy a gift card for someone and I thought this might be a fun alternative to Starbucks or target.

C got his haircut this morning. When they checked my temp it was 100.9! I had some panic but we retook in five mins and it was normal. We had sat in the car for a bit waiting to go in and had the sunroof open so I think that’s why.
After that we ran some errands and we just did a craft. We are now having alone time and will head over to my parents in an hour or so for our birthday dinner.

Especially if you get the Limited. I like the new body style.

nam2013 did I tell you about the dream I had about you a few weeks ago? Odd we are dreaming of each other. And I’m not a huge fan of Philly. It’s one of the few cities I’ve been to that I couldn’t see myself living in.

slenle there is a great thread on GD about third row SUV's. It talks a lot about captains chairs, air vents, space and speakers. It was interesting to get peoples perspective on what to look for and things they'd change about what they had now etc. The VW Atlas and Subaru Acsent came out ahead in quite a few categories. Also, Brux did a good review of the VW Atlas in another thread, she has bookmarked it in there as well. howeverithappened.proboards.com/thread/31973/3-row-suv Now I’m interested in reading that one. The o my reason I didn’t look at the Ascent was because it was first year. I buy low mileage used for better prices.

My day turned interesting. It was really slow then a study was ordered that I don’t do. I have seen them done, but have not been formally trained. My coworker had to FaceTime me on his vacation to walk me through the whole thing. It was a lot.
I keep telling them I’ll be happy to learn it when they can offer me health insurance. This ain’t no one way street. 💁🏽♀️

So I thought maybe this was a safe one. Silly me.

They had waited over an hour in the car and then he registered similar to you. That is my concern with mid-day temperature checks at school, we have no ac and the rooms easily reach high 90’s in September so no where for the kid to even cool off and retake in a few minutes.

At my job, as soon as temps rose into the high 80s and 90s, most people read 99.0 and above. Just walking from their car to the building gets their forehead hot. We oral temp anything over 100.

Although, the explorer I saw was a ‘17 but only 23k miles, and it was a limited. I saw a new limited today and loved the look- so sharp! Any opinions on tan leather? It had try at, with black accents. It looked pretty classy but not sure how it would wear. jewels- anything you don’t like about the atlas?

slenleMostly I like it. It drives nice and is pretty and roomie and all that. The only thing I don’t like is there is a pretty serious blind spot for me when I look left. The mirror blocks a lot and I have almost gotten in a number of accidents where I literally don’t see a car coming and almost hit it. But I am short. Very short. My friend who is normal height does not have that issue.

I just have to make a conscious effort to move a certain way to see. I am used to it now

MH has a ‘17 with tan and black accents. We bought his car because after the accident in his previous car, they gave us a limited explorer and we loved it. I never looked at Ford before having that one for a month. His current one isn’t a limited, but it has enough features for him. If it was my car I would have wanted the limited. I only said the explorer because you mentioned wanting to have grown people in the third row and the explorer third row is way roomier than other third rows I have been in and seen. Like- I wouldn’t try to put an adult in my third row. I test drove the Atlas in Alabama and it was nice. I liked it a lot, but can’t remember how exactly roomy the third row was. I’m sure jewels can tell you if she hasn’t already.
