I'm so glad it's Friday. WFH today and Monday, so no seeing people unnecessarily, for both my health and sanity.

I have the day off since I'm going in tomorrow to clear out onsite storage boxes. I've recruited mh to help, so I'm hoping it only takes an hour or so.
Right now I'm in bed trying to tune out the annoying YouTube family Cadence is currently watching

Hi! Can’t really say TGIF because it’s my work weekend. Nonetheless, I’m happy for the weekend. I need to start getting some stuff ready for the pending work on the house. Next week we should have new carpet going in the master before the new bed is delivered. The week after the countertops are being done, so I need to clean out and reorganize cabinets and whatnot. I still have some trim painting to do, too.
Adulting is so fun. {sarcasm}

I'm at the office. I have a couple friends struggling right now so I shipped them some face masks. Then I made a target drive up order and a Total Wine order. Now I supposed I'll actually do my work.

Morning. SSDD. Dh has my van again today so we will just be hanging at home. I think I’m going to force the kids to play outside with the sprinkler or something this afternoon. It’s hot again and they need to get some energy out.

I also work this weekend, but I'm looking forward to getting it over with. Just two more wake-ups...
Tonight my former TKD instructor is in town for a seminar so we're going to that. Should be fun.

The GD'ers are imploding on each other again. I popped into the Canada emigration thread the other day and there was a deactivation on the first page. This morning I saw the UO was a million pages so I randomly went to page 40 and sure enough tensions were high. I used to go there regularly but there were too many that had a penchant for drama and mean-hearted snark so it drove me away.

The GD'ers are imploding on each other again. I popped into the Canada emigration thread the other day and there was a deactivation on the first page. This morning I saw the UO was a million pages so I randomly picked went to page 40 and sure enough tensions were high. I used to go there regularly but there were too many that had a penchant for drama and mean-hearted snark so it drove me away. At some point I need to read the UO. The canada deactivation was dumb. |

Morning! Dh is taking the afternoon off and we are going to go golfing. I’m having a new sitter come for the first time. I hope it goes well, because I would love to have someone else in my rotation.
Then our friends are coming over for drinks and appetizers but don’t plan to stay too late because they are leaving on vacation tomorrow.
I drove through the car dealership the other day and ended up with a business card for the salesman. I put it on the counter to see how long it would take DH to notice, LOL. so now I’m just trying to sweet talk him into going for a test drive sometime. I think it might be working😉

There’s a nice explorer here that i peeked in the other day when the salesmen tracked me down. The biggest issue with VW or other brands is that i would have to go to the cities for maintenance since we are limited here. I would like something with a 3rd row so I can take a couple of my sisters kids or friends once in a while. |

slenle there is a great thread on GD about third row SUV's. It talks a lot about captains chairs, air vents, space and speakers. It was interesting to get peoples perspective on what to look for and things they'd change about what they had now etc. The VW Atlas and Subaru Acsent came out ahead in quite a few categories. Haven’t said hello properly today, miss manors would not be proud of me  , so hi from vacation girls! I had a crappy night sleep, with the weirdest dream. Which included, but was not limited to, wedding moving to Philadelphia (which I thought was no good), my 94yo grandpa coming with me to PT and my husband that wanted to sell a rhinoceros at a car dealer... Busy start of the day with PT, which hurt like you wouldn’t believe. The physiotherapist is sweet though, she’s pregnant with her first and uses me to ask all kinds of questions, today it was all about baby carriers . Then lots of last minute errors and house cleaning. My niece and her boyfriend (almost 21, both still live at home) are staying in our house, so we made them a welcome basket. Currently running a bath, I’m sure I’ll be heading for bed reallly early. |

One would think the UO/FFFC should be lighthearted and fun but 100% nitpicked things to death to the point of bitterness. Took everything very serious and sucked the joy out of it all the while saying things like "it's not that srs" while launching an attack. I don't understand investing that much into finding something to get worked up about. Reminds me about some of my (negative) interactions with my mom. |

I placed a target pick up yesterday. Went out to pick it up and I placed the order at the wrong store —almost an hour away from me.
Ran back home to cancel that order and place another one and make pizza dough for tonight.
Got the mail to find out that I shorted the state of Connecticut by $10 on our taxes. Unfortunately, the letter they sent us said that they never received my payment so I was freaking out or that I had to pay this ungodly amount again. A call straightened it out.

Bought a sprinkler for Cadence and she tried it out yesterday. She spent more time running to the back door and knocking for us than she did playing in the actual water. 🙄
