Thanks for tagging me jewels! All good here. Our belated, abbreviated little league season has started and as much as the boys need the socialization, I am so freaked out. The park was packed this weekend and most people weren't wearing masks and not keeping as far apart as they should have. Between that and camp the next 2 weeks, I feel like we need to be even more careful than normal if and when we see my ILs. We can't get them sick, DH would never forgive himself. Other than that, all is good. Work is busy but I've been working on boundaries. Sort of. Colin ditched his training wheels last Friday and is so incredibly proud of himself and improving so quickly. I've been getting into running clothes and running with him - we get to chat and it's an amazing workout. The kid is fast!! Chase finally had his 4 year appointment and is allegedly at 90% for height and weight. He's definitely had a growth spurt recently for sure, but it still seems overstated. DH is in a decent mood tonight and I have to take that one day at a time. I think WE'RE fine, I just need him to take care of him. Someday. |

Work is crazy. We reopen part of our operations this week and everyone is freaking out. The state has yet to approve our plans and once they do it will take some time to get everything up and running so everyone is on edge.
I worked from home today and I actually enjoy working from home except on days I’m there no one has anything for me to do while I’m there that actually needs me there but on my work from home days everyone has a million things they want me to do that I should be there to do it. WTF why do they do this.
I’m not looking forward to being at work tomorrow. They start temperature checks twice a day. It’s suppose to be at the beginning of our shift then another random time. However none of our managers get to the office before 900am and I start at 600am and it has to be done by a manager so we shall see what actually happens.

We moved some things around today. Set up Josie‘s old trundle daybed in the sunroom because it has these great deep drawers that will be perfect for storing towels for the pool. We put together a new bed for her and got it all situated . She has less room than she did before, but both kids spend very little time in their rooms. I need art for the walls and potentially a rug. Then we had a contractor over who told me I’d be wasting my time painting my cabinets bc the paint would have no longevity. So now I’m rethinking it all.. That’s pretty cool about J’s room. Confused about the cabinet paint situation. Why no longevity? What does he suggest as an alternative to what you want? |

Confused about the cabinet paint situation. Why no longevity? What does he suggest as an alternative to what you want? He said there’s some kind of poly coat on the cabinets that would take someone forever to properly sand and paint (and if it’s done right it would be pricey bc of the work and attention to detail). And if someone is telling me they‘ll do a light sand and repaint, I won’t see the results I want and would see chips sooner (this was the plan the first contractor had and his number was BIG!). This guy said based on the number of cabinets I have, it wouldn’t be that much more to replace. The good news is, the island is a different material and can easily be painted. I really liked this guy— very down to earth with advice and loose numbers. And he was personable (and wore a mask) Eta: I don’t know. It’s overwhelming, and it me just trying to re-center on the things that have to be done and not the ones I want to be done. |

chrisy01 good luck with returning to partial operations. Our policies here change by the day and it's so annoying. I think temperature checks are annoying and just for optics. You can have Covid without a temp, you can also take Motrin beforehand to decrease a temp. Meh. At least they're taking precautions though.

chrisy01 or anyone else have you heard from@cagoldi? vino did we lose you again? Come back! joelies I think you checked in recently but come back and see us! Who else is MIA? No! I am here, just a busy few days is all. I went camping over the weekend, Monday was so busy with work and I need to be very conscience about taking the kids out for a few 15 min breaks a day to spend time together then yesterday my Mom came so i could go get groceries, and I was pooped at the end of the day. |

Hasnat Kahn had a fling with Princess Di and was behind the TWA Flight 800 crash and her death. John Lennon was a woman beater. Alfred Hitchcock murdered a woman and buried her in his yard so he bought his wife a new house without bodies in the yard.
