Morning and happy 4th! 🇺🇸
We are headed to the beach, I’m hoping conditions are good and we’ll be able to drive on 🤞🏻Kids are so excited.
This afternoon we’re grilling out, and heading to my parents’ neighborhood for fireworks later on.

Happy 4th! It sort of feels like a regular weekend (and weekends feel like regular weekdays), but we’re trying to make it a little special.
I made flag toast this morning. We’re grilling hot dogs and hamburgers and I have the ingredients for a red, white, and blue trifle. We’ll do sparklers tonight. The fireworks near us are canceled, but maybe we’ll keep the kids up to catch fireflies?

Morning. Normal day over here. Hairdressers this morning for dd to fix the fact that it wasn’t cut straight on Wednesday (she probably tilted her had a little). We went to my in-laws for coffee. I swung by a local English tea house to get some English goodies for my aunt who was supposed to leave for England on vacation today, salt&vinegar crips, scones, breakfast tea jam & fudge. Drinks in my other aunts garden in a bit.

Our neighbors always put off a ton of fireworks so we'll have plenty to watch tonight and MH got sparklers. We'll BBQ and have s'mores. Should be fun.

My day started with cleaning cat puke off the couch. 🤮 Then I got my stbx and convinced Cadence to clean up the living room since FIL is coming over for a hot dog lunch. I've been up since 4 due to AF making me feel like my bed is a pool of lava. I also think my most recent set of allergy shots has triggered my entire body to itch. No hives though, so I guess that's good. 😬 And our cat Coby is going through some jealousy issues with Dickens getting all of Cadence's attention. He screams to get into her room just so he can get in her doll crib and be the baby. 😂😂

Morning. I had a rough night. V just wanted to sleep in my arms and not in her bassinet. I did eventually get her to stay asleep around 2:30-3. After she woke this morning DH took her and let me get a couple more hours sleep so I should be good to go for the rest of the day. We are going to the IL’s house for lunch and some small fireworks this afternoon and then back home for supper and our fireworks. The neighbor across the street asked if the girls could come over to swim so they may do that depending on what time we get home.

Happy 4th everyone! We had a lazy morning and then MH and S finally transformed Bs crib into a bed (I know, he’s almost 4, but he has just been so happy in there!) so now I’ve been organizing his room and getting rid of a bunch of baby/toddler stuff. It’s hitting me in my feelings that I’ll never need that stuff again

Not that we had any real plans but we got detailed when Charlie got a bloody nose that wouldn’t stop (and came out of nowhere). Almost 40 minutes of gushing. I called the dr at the 25 minute mark and when he called back the blood was finally coming to an end. He’s been fine the rest of the afternoon, but it was a lot of clean up and I’d like him to take it easy.

Yikes that stinks. S gets bloody noses a lot but usually they are fairly short lived. I wonder what caused it?

Happy weekend! The kids and I got to the summer lot before 11am, it’s only about 1 hour and 20 min drive and J was not happy. Just kept on saying ‘this is taking for ages’. Whatever, i just turned up my music.
We have nothing planned which is great probably do a later afternoon fire for marshmallows/smores and some hot dogs.
I really love being out in nature, so peaceful.

Thank you everyone. I did notice a little bit of dried blood at the bottom of his nostril this morning so there’s the potential that he picked at it either last night or earlier this morning. But when I questioned him about it he said he was, “FINE!” Because he is very blasé about pain or not feeling well. He never wants to talk about it, if he’s hurt, so this will remain a mystery to me.

We had a great beach day...normally we only go for 3 hours or so but ended up staying for almost 6. Great weather and kids were having a ball.
We’ve got a thunderstorm moving thru now so not sure what this will mean for fireworks. If they don’t go off as planned I may send DH up to the store for some sparklers.

Groceries have been shaky lately so I wasn't able to procure Graham crackers so I think I'll just stuff a piece of chocolate in a marshmallow.

I had tons of bloody noses, and at one time I had one that wouldn’t stop. The trick that I was taught at urgent care is to pinch the bridge of the nose for 3 minutes and it should stop. Definitely no fun.

We got home about an hour ago. DH and the girls are across the street swimming with the neighbors. V and I are hanging on the couch. I need to start thinking about making super soon.

Cadence has been in the pool since 1. It's just a 2ft deep inflatable pool, but she's loving it. Really hoping she doesn't get sunburned. She's been lathered in sunscreen, so hopefully it will be ok. It's almost 6 and mh is heating up the grill for burgers.

We are at my in laws on Cape Cod. It was so weird coming here and having no traffic. There are no fireworks displays aside from backyard fireworks. We spent the day swimming and now we are doing an outdoor movie. If only the kids would pay attention and appreciate how cool this is.

I got V to sleep so I could sit out on the driveway with the monitor and still be a little bit involved with the festivities. I’m a little surprised she’s sleeping through all of the noise. My neighborhood does a lot of fireworks, even though it’s illegal within city limits. DH and the girls are sitting across the street in the neighbors’ driveway so they have a better view. Honestly I could go to sleep soon myself. wedding that looks like so much fun!

Morning! Yesterday was fun. We went out on the lake a couple times and the kids played non stop. No official fireworks, but just people around the lake. A house down a bit shot off a ton of fireworks for 45 minutes, so that was a good show. L slept until 7 so I can’t complain too much.
Well hang out here until lunchtime, then head home and probably power wash the patio this afternoon. Fun fun.
