I’ve coloured my hair since I was 12 I think? I’m naturally a salt/pepper blonde, although I have gotten much darker in the last few years. I’ve been black, purple, hot pink, fireman red, auburn, completely blonde in my teenage years (combined with fishnet tights, velvet long skirts, but also hippy blouses, a signature red lipstick and flowers in my hair... it was something 😂) but most of the time it was/is just blonde high lights, I made an appointment for a new technique for the end of August. Pictures or it didn't happen 😁 This is pre-digital picture times, but I’ll see what I can do  . |

Morning. I have been finding more grays in the last year. They are spread out all over my head, b it they are there. Both my grandmas wore their white/platinum hair so it’s inevitable. I only get my hair colored about twice a year, so I don’t mind spending the money there. I would not be spending that every 6-8 weeks. ETA: I don’t get the color for grays. I get it because it’s black and I am way too pale for that. I mostly get brown highlights, but I’ve been thinking about getting my whole head colored. One day maybe. Twice a year? I guess it's because I go quite a bit lighter than my natural color, but I hate the root growth. I go about 6 weeks in the summer, 8 weeks in the winter when I darken it a little. Anymore than that and it's bad. And my hair doesn't grow that fast. Yeah. I get highlights and it’s usually balayage so when it grows out it’s not bad. If I get whole head colored I would probably have to do it more often. So I guess I will just keep highlights because I don’t want to spend the money that often. |

Lol I found these drops by IGK that you put in hair oil or leave in conditioner to keep the brass at bay. I’ve only used them once though so I can’t really tell if it works yet. I thought I was supposed to mix in shampoo or conditioner when I bought it, but the first time I tried, it said oil or leave in. I think other brands have similar products. Found at Sephora. There is one for brunettes and one for blondes I think. My drops are blue. |

inthekitty, ugh! to her! My mom has similar logic. My brother stayed with them this weekend. It is his second overnight at their house so essentially they have accepted each other into their circles. My brother asked to use my moms car and she was hesitant and then said only if he follows this cleaning regimen and she laid out this ridiculous sanitizing of the car. Umm....he's staying at your house. Using the same shower and toilet, eating the same food. Also my mom was the first to go out and get a pedicure and hit a sit down restaurant when they opened so lets not pretend we are being extra cautious due to your risk level. I would say our moms could be friends but they would probably hate each other because they are too alike but have no self awareness.

I just went to make my lunch and grabbed a spook from the drawer. The entire backside was covered in dry Nutella. I caught C eating straight from the Nutella container a week or so ago by seeing the dirty spoon in the sink. So he didn't put it in the sink. Sneaky! He thinks he is soo smart! I can't wait to show it to him when he gets home.
Aside from planning to take my son down a notch, there's not much going on here. I also need to call the hairdresser. I have dark ashy brown hair and I color it a shade darker in a richer brown. I have a few grays right now but I did the Madison Reed color in April so I am going to hold off a bit on the color. I desperately need a trim though. My ends feel fried. I was overdue for it when we started SIP.

Hi, it's been a busy day went for our COVID tests this morning, it was up the nose and they both cried a bit but it was quick and we were outta there pretty fast, and then work has been nuts. The kids are asking for a snack so I' just about to take a break with them for a bit.

Ohh i really like that hammock, great choice! I have a lay down one that i got years ago from costco and just this year is when i can say I've been able to enjoy it and lay in it for some quality time, i even fell asleep one evening laying with Zoe about a week ago. |

Shutter guy was easy on the eyes and ears. He reminded me of my drapery/upholstery guy who is from an Eastern European country and has a great voice.
Anywho! Apparently we are in the wrong business bc both of them drive *very* nice cars and wear beautiful watches. Seems there is lots of money to be made in the world of window coverings 😂

Got my table moved out. I need inserts for my outdoor pillows and a centerpiece. Sidewalks are on our list. But with my massive steps, trying to decide how to do the sidewalks is tricky.  |

N had her recital tonight. It was like 90 and so flipping humid. H stayed with my nephews at their house, but i had L with me. He did pretty good but I’m just glad Ns dances were in the beginning so we could get out of there quickly.
She did great. She was talking it up before hand how excited she was and wanted everyone to watch her (this is the girl who almost had a panic attack at least year’s recital). Then just before her ballet song, she started crying, but stopped and did the dance. She was so mad at herself for getting scared, and then she rocked her tap dance with a big smile.

On actually go to work days, I’m up by 430. On work from home days 545ish. Weekends the kids get me up at 630ish unless I have too much homework then I’m up at normal time.

wedding lolz. They'd be two peas in a pod. I love her dearly, but as an adult growing up over the years I've seen how my mom just can't be happy and succumbs to misery. It's...something. I'm very easy going so needless to say I can't relate.

slenle So glad she did well even though she got scared. Love the pink! flamingo LOL at your good looking window guys and their fancy things. They should be well paid because I’ve been looking at curtains and shades and my gosh this stuff isn’t cheap. chrisy01 You do need a month off of work and school! Overachiever! Hope you get a little break soon. Have you been in touch with Goldi? I think someone tagged her the other day, but not sure if she checked in. Hope she and the kids are well. I know she has a lot on her plate.
