I just got the call from the hospital that I can come in! I told her it would be closer to 8 when we get there since we need to drop the girls off first and everyone is still sleeping. I’m ready to go right this second but I’m not going to be that mean to my family. I think a combination of the long nap I took yesterday and the excitement for today kept me up all night, I didn’t sleep a wink.

I'm at the office. I went this morning to get a blood draw. It was painful. It's never painful. I'm expecting quite the bruise tomorrow.

Thanks ladies. They’ve given me the first dose of cytotec and contractions have started, not bad yet. They gave me a huge room this time, I wonder if it’s because they know me/I work here.

The kids wanted to play with my niece so I told my sister to drop her 2 and 4 year olds off to play. Hoping the kids entertain each other, especially during A's nap. Cleaning and laundry for me. Hoping my sister will stay for wine when she picks the kids up.

We went out to breakfast and now my sister is on her way here and my best friend will be down late afternoon. Just caught C “cleaning” the bathroom with toilet paper and hand soap. We will go to the beach and then my BIL said he will cook anything I want for dinner.

Also hi! Lots of little stuff to do today. As going away presents the kids going to 1st grade are making fabric bunting, aka the parents are making them, or in my case my mom, I suck at sewing. Tomorrow is midsummer solstice at school, where they wear the flowers crowns, so we foraged for flowers (and I cheated and bought some chamomile 😉).
We put a 7 by 5ft pool in our yard, since there’s a heat wave coming. It takes up most of our yard, its hilarious, the kids love it though and if temperatures really do hit the 90 wed/thu/fri I’ll be in there too.
When we where at the bungalow park yesterday we found out that adding an extra 3night weekend to our stay would only cost us €150... so we booked immediately and found a bungalow that had a better location than the one we actually booked. So yaay!

kim22 your BIL is a keeper, have you decided what to order yet ? I don’t know, we don’t have an actual oven here, only a convection oven so it can’t fit enough for 11 of us. I will probably go with steak and mashed potatoes and a salad and then go for ice cream later (even though we did that 2 of the last 3 nights). We probably spend more at the liquor/ice cream stores here than we do on the mortgage. |

My BFF was an L&D nurse and a very crowded L&D hospital nearby. There were rooms you could "pay up" for that were like where the celebrities delivered. She always got one of those rooms for post partum b/c she worked there. It was like a hotel room lol. |
