I feel like I did everything and nothing today. I cleared and cleaned a lot, but when you look at it as a whole, it’s like I didn’t do much. The weekend person asked me to work for her tomorrow and I agreed. I don’t know why I am the way I am.

We have friends visiting this weekend. They've been good social distancers so I feel fine about it. It's been nice to hang out and play cards. I'm also glad they leave early-ish tomorrow morning because it's a lot after not much socialization the past couple of months.

TV talk: I need to watch the Little Fires show. Cass wants to watch that Magnolias show with me. She thinks there's a love story angle and loves all love stories. I thought Knives Out was entertaining but not great (I'm there with you tgrimes). We finally watched the first Maleficent and it was surprisingly good. The girls loved Clueless, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and 10 Things I Hate About You. Their 80s/90s education is almost complete. |

We’re at the campground with my parents, they went on a walk with the kids so we have time to read a book 🥳. I’ve been coming to this campground/bungalow park for shirt stays since I was 4/5, so almost 30 years! Feels a little like home, so many memories ☺️. After the incredible journey/travels last year is it so weird to think this will be all we need to do for our summer vacation, drive for one hour.

Happy Fathers day to our babies dads! Evie is working hard on a homemade card for H, even though her bought some. She never finished her mothers day card for me.
I'm going to mow then clean the house some. Then I need to do some work so tomorrow isnt a shit show.

Happy Father’s Day to all the board dads!
I’m just getting in from work. My mom is on her way up for the week. I’m planning to go eat outside at a restaurant for an early dinner. Maybe to the park after. For now I will start sanitizing surfaces before my mom gets in.

MH decided he wanted to go to the boardwalk late morning and do the beach later when it’s low tide so the kids can boogie board. We played games and won our first 7 prizes of the summer (we aren’t that good, the games just reopened and I think they were so happy to have customers, they let us win). In the game where you pop balloons with darts, C just wanted the balloon. The kid game him one which I now need to make disappear before my sister gets here tomorrow because she’s very allergic to latex. Then we had some pizza. Now C is napping and DH ran to pick up DD’s birthday present.

Hi! Dh is golfing 9 holes then we’ll spend some time at home before going to my sisters for dinner and to watch fireworks tonight. ILs were here overnight and left a couple hours ago. I’m going to put L down for a nap and let the other two chill while I shower and clean up. Might make another Bloody Mary because why not?

Hey. I slept in this morning for probably the last time for 2 years. I watched the girls play outside this morning, kinda surreal knowing this is our last day as a family of 4. DH and the girls just left to go play mini golf with his dad so I have the house to myself for the next couple of hours. Not sure what the rest of the day will hold, except early bedtimes so everyone is ready to go in the morning.

Hi and happy Father’s Day to the N13 dads!
DH slept in and I made pancakes and bacon this morning. Otherwise he’s been puttering around the house working on various things while I went to the grocery store to stock the fridge and pantry.
Tonight we’re grilling out but no big plans...pretty quiet day here.

I’m really annoyed with Belk. I bought H and the baby’s outfits for nb pics there online. I got shipping notice for the baby’s outfit first and it came in a reasonable amount of time. Shipping notice for H’s dress came 6/11, but when I check tracking it says it’s still pending. They better get it to me this week or I’ll be pissed. I do have a back up plan if it doesn’t come in time, but I really liked this dress for pictures.

We’re very vigilant about checking the kids and ourselves after every outing into nature for ticks and then the morning after too. Both Dh and my mom had a tick bite after today. So if you girls know a repellent that actually works please share!

Everyone is some combo of lazy, grouchy, tired today. We’re all outside. The kids found some bubble guns they haven’t seen since last year so that’s been fun.
We were going to do tacos tonight, but I don’t feel like making them so a big cheese board it is instead!

I talked N and H into taking a nap on the couch since they’ve had two late nights and tonight will be late again. N slept for over an hour and H is still asleep... almost 3 hours later! Dh and n are playing frisbee... gotta admit, it’s nice and quiet without H running around like a crazy man.
Aaaaand Dh just got the frisbee stuck on the roof. Ha.

M has had her rollerblades on from 8-3 today. She finally took them off when I told her we were going to grandma’s house. It’s raining out but I hope it stops so the kids can swim.

I’m still waiting on something from Lowe’s from end of May. It’s supposed to be shipped to the store because it’s big and it just says received order. I figured shipping to store would be kinda quick. Nope. trtlcrzy Hope by some miracle it comes in time. |

I have quit ordering things online unless its amazon prime because shipping just takes too long. It's so annoying. Enjoy your last night as a family of 4 trtlcrzy! So exciting! I got the yard mowed, went for a mile and half walk, picked up Sonic for lunch, then worked for almost 3 hours. I have a huge stack of work, but feel a bit better knowing its organized and ready to go first thing. |
