It's Friday!

I'm up way too early. We leave this morning for Olive Branch, MS. I always get excited and as soon as my eyes open, I start thinking about things I cant forget to do, before we leave.

Evie just woke up (way too early as well) and came out and said shes so excited for vacation, she cant sleep.

So just waiting on H to wake so we can shower and pack.

Same. MJ was so grouchy last night that I nursed her to sleep and forgot to change her diaper. We woke up an hour early in a puddle.

DH went back to work this morning...I wanted a pic of him on the front steps with his briefcase but he wouldn’t indulge me. 😉

It’s looking a bit overcast so not sure what we will do today.

Morning! My sister and her family were over the last two days because they don't have power. I desperately need to clean and do laundry now. I should probably invite them over again though since power isn't predicted to be on until midnight.

We have a drive by parade for C's last day. I'm hoping it doesn't take forever because it starts right at nap time.

Morning! We’re packing up to go to my brother’s cabin up north for the weekend. The high for the weekend is only 70 and it’ll be in 40s over night. That’s great for bonfires and being in the unairconditioned cabin, but probably means the kids won’t swim in the lake much.

It’s about a 3 hour drive, so we’ll leave at Ls nap time. He doesn’t sleep great in the car, so hopefully it’s not too miserable.

Still swollen. It bothers her most in the morning, probably because she doesnt move it all night. But it doesnt slow her down much. I think the swimming will really help her.

Hi! Today the school set up a remote field day. All "classes" are cancelled. The gym teacher got really into it and posted tons of activities for the kids to do. Since we opened up to S BFF and his family, we are having them over and doing it with them, so that should be fun, but they can't come till 2:00 so we are just waiting now. His class is trying to do a zoom at 11 AM to have a water balloon toss together and I just have no idea how that will work!

Our school had a virtual field day a couple weeks back; we did not participate, lol, so you’re ahead of the game in my book! That’s a cute idea to meet up with friends.

We had a kindergarten/first grade ‘drive BYE’ yesterday (obviously couldn’t do that) and today there is a family dance party to celebrate the last day. I have nothing left for dancing 😂 B’s class did have a Zoom ‘snowball fight’ (cotton balls) that they loved.

This day is dragging. I didn't sleep great last night so that makes it worse. It is nice out but wet so we probably won't do much outside until the afternoon when things dry out.

Last week C and I were wrestling (I am officially too old for this stuff btw) and he would run and jump butt first on my lap basically. It didn't hurt but my knee jerk reaction is to catch him a little with my hands to lessen the impact. Of course my hand was hit the wrong way and hurt a bit after. It was just hurting with certain movements but today it hurts more and my fingers tingle so I need to get it looked at. But I am alone and don't want to bring C so I'll have to wait it out and go to urgent care if it gets worse tonight. I really hope its nothing since its my right hand.

That's all the excitement I have over here. TGIF!

It’s Friday and I am not feeling it. Tired and they keep adding patients on. 😩 We’re never gonna get out here today. Where was all these people yesterday when I was here for 9 hours? We leave at 2 on Fridays and I’ll be surprised if we leave by that time.

Good morning! Same old over here. Finished up school with Josie a bit ago and now the kids are playing while I make some pizza dough for tonight. It’s nice and sunny so I’m hoping to get the kids in the pool, but most likely it’ll be me in the pool and them on the deck with the water table.

So glad it's Friday. However I'm annoyed because my boss emailed about returning to the office next week. My job can be done entirely from home and I've loved working at home. My windowless office building filled with oddballs is not included in the list of corona places I miss. I think what annoys me most is there's no rationale for it. And of course it's closer to when the kids are almost out of school and I could actually enjoy it more.

My sister and I ordered lunch yesterday and the menu had two flat bread pizzas on it, buffelo chicken and pepperoni. She got the pepperoni and it came and had green olives, carrots and tomatoes on it. What!?

Hey. I was up for a while last night with cramping and contractions but nothing is happening yet. I slept in though because I can and I was very tired. I’ve been laying around doing nothing for most of the morning and then about an hour ago I decided to start picking up the toys in the living room which has led me to going through all the toy bins in my living room. I’m halfway done and just over it at this point. I have all the intentions of going to get a pedicure at some point this afternoon. I also want to go to a garden center and walk around.
