Couldn’t think of anything clever, how are you girls today?

Morning, today both kids had school and Dh had to work. So I had the whole house to myself for three full hours. I had fully intended to procrastinate and just drink coffee and catch up on some shows even though I had to work officially. Well no such luck, work was busy, so no ‘me-time’ ☹️.

Morning and happy Friday ladies! Work has been stupid already this morning. I haven't done anything I usually do on Friday mornings because I'm answering stupid emails.

I decided to skip my run today, my watch told me yesterday was a 7-day streak, so I feel like I deserve a day off. I think on my lunch, Evie and I will run to Maurices and Target, then grab something to eat. Maurices has some cute sun dresses for $10 today, that look perfect for vacation. And I want to get some more sunblock. I asked H to order some and he ordered this stuff that says it's safe for marine life. Cool, we've never used it and I want something we know works as well, just in case, so I'll go grab some Coppertone spray.

mwhip I talked to my mom last night and she was wishing we didn’t cancel our beach trip. Her coworkers are going over the next few weeks and she has the fomo.

Between work, school for me, and the kids it’s been super crazy. Word got out at work that I fix purchasing problems and everyone sent things to me. I’m super stressed about both work and school. I finish this class this weekend and start my next one on Tuesday. C and I will be starting L’s summer program next week(we created it). We even bought a kiwi box to see if that will keep him interested.

Can this pandemic be over yet?

Morning! Same old here today. We are grilling coconut rum shrimp tonight though and I'm excited about it! We grilled steak kabobs yesterday that were delicious.

Morning! We’re heading camping for the weekend so I just need to finish packing up the camper. It’s supposed to be a nice weekend which is good. This is our first time going since L was born so we’ll see how he does. Hopefully we don’t have a camper for sale by Sunday

Gray humid day over here. It makes me want to sleep. C is in a crappy mood and challenging me at every turn this morning. He has his year end math assessment in an hour. I bribed him with a new toy to pay attention and give some effort because he’s definitely in a f*ck it all mood today.

Aside from that I have some accounting stuff to do for work but not much else.

Morning. It's a gorgeous day here but the weekend is supposed to be rainy so I'll try and kick the kids outside while I work and take a few breaks with them, then over lunch I've got to run to the vet to get Zoe her meds. I'm looking at a company to come and spray for mosquitoes so hopefully they call soon, it'd be so nice to have a bite free zone for the summer months.

Also I’m jealous of your vacation mwhip. Since our state is still under fairly tight restrictions, I don’t feel comfortable traveling but it would be so nice to see four different walls!

Our state started phase two on Monday. We can now dine in at restaurants up to 50% capacity with disposable menus, cups, plates, etc. Hair salons opened and retail stores with limited capacity. We are not doing any of these things yet and probably won’t for a while. I’m thinking maybe in a few weeks I’ll schedule a hair appointment. I want to see what our numbers do over the next couple of weeks first.

With this phase we can expand our germ circle to 15 though so we are going to my in laws pool on Sunday. We will stay outside and only stay a few hours but Cs cousins will be there so he will be thrilled.

I really hope he's the guy so they don't have to search anymore, if that makes sense.  He sounds like a horrible human being so I'm glad they got him for other crimes, but I wouldn't want the parents to suffer forever like Jon Benet's.

True, the not knowing might even be worse than knowing that the worst has happened. This case has been in the news so so much over here, the situation in which she disappeared was strange, the parents were suspects, they had leads throughout the years that led to nothing.

I haven’t actually read up on that monster but the true crime group I follow on fb have been talking about it. He disgusts me, regardless of if he is responsible for her disappearance or not.

Yes, I saw that about Madeline McCann. Hope if he’s the guy he will be brought to justice and her family can have some closure.

Well, we finished B's last school assignment for the year, it definitely involved tears (B) and gnashing of teeth (yours truly). They have some 'fun activities' next week, I guess to hit the 180 school day count, but sheesh, I am so ready to be done. School goes back here Aug. 12, or thereabouts, and it's sounding like we will be back in actual buildings, praise Jesus, so it's kind of a short summer.

Tonight we are going out to dinner at a casual seafood place on the water. Our restaurants are already at 50% here so I guess next phase will be 75? Bars can reopen to 50% capacity as of today.

Our restaurants have a max. capacity of 30 people, groups over 4 are not allowed and you have to make a reservation & keep 1.5 meter distance, no matter how big the site is. So, small restaurants may not be able to house more than 10 people, large restaurants that normally house 200+ people have a ton of space left over.

That's hard, particularly for the big places...I wonder if they are even covering overhead costs by reopening? 

In our area it's done by a % of the capacity as set by the fire marshal. So obviously the larger the restaurant, the more people they can seat. 

We've eaten out several times since getting down here...a couple places we made a reservation at but others we have just been showing up earlier than usual to make sure we can get a table.

flamingo I know... it’s because gatherings over 30 aren’t allowed for now. But there have been lots of complaints. From what I gather the bigger places have been doing two shifts, so they can double the capacity without breaking any rules.

Ohio is talking about going back in July so if another wave hits we can take some time off. I just want him in a building. I font care when 😬
