The one good thing to come out of me being home for the last 3 months...my kid has finally learned how to take a shower, BY HERSELF!

Good morning, I slept like crap. It took forever to cool off so I spent hours tossing and turning. If the ac isn’t working today I will call someone out to look at it cause that’s not going to work for me. I have a chiro appt later this morning and then MIL asked for the girls to come over this afternoon so I’ll drop them off for a few hours. Not sure what I’m going to do but that’s ok, probably nap.

Cadence was dragging ass this morning. It took her forever to get out of the car at gymnastics. I basically pushed her into the gym and then ran off. Luckily, another little girl came up to her and she seemed more energized after that.
Now I'm at the office and I don't want to do shit.
Our new refrigerator comes today! Glad I'm not there to deal with it.

Morning! It’s the official last day of school! N has a zoom call at 10 and after lunch we’ll do a drive by parade past the school where all the teachers will be out waving to the kids. Then we’ll go to froyo since we didn’t make it yesterday.
I’m going out with a few girlfriends tonight to the local brewery. Two nights in a row?! What is this life?

I'm at the office. M was pissed yesterday that I picked her up too early. H's daycare closes at 4 and then I drive to the other side of the building to get her. She was having too much fun and didn't want to leave. So today I will pick up H and play with him at home for a bit and then pick her up later.

that's great news klong11! And so fast to already be checking references! When I was in hiring, I didn't even call references till I had it narrowed down to my top candidates (in my case, after interviews). |

Also hi. I don't know if it's just because it's week 84 of being home with no end in sight, not sleeping well because I'm paranoid about scratching in my sleep, or the stress of watching the damn world burn. But man, I feel like I'm hitting a wall. And I realize I have it pretty good, so I'm not sure how everyone else is holding it together.
Col has 2 weeks left of school but only 1 more day of a full academics. Friday is remote Field Day and next week is mostly catch-up and an awards ceremony. It's good because he's burnt out but I really worry about him being so cutoff this summer. They ARE trying to do some version of baseball and we talked it through with him and agreed to give it a try. Hopefully that will help because I can't even imagine they will TRY to hold camp this summer. They are either squeezed into spare rooms or 2-3 to a seat on the bus to field trips to places that aren't even open yet. He's bummed for sure, he loved camp last year.

I feel like getting people to call you back and/or show up is half the battle with house projects. Hope he shows. I heard pool construction down here is 6+ months out, it’s crazy how busy the outdoor living vendors are. Great for them, of course, but stinks if you want a project done! |

flamingo I haven't heard how far out it is to get a pool installed here, but you can't even find the inflatable ones in store or online, so I'm sure the professional installs are extremely backed up. And as you know, it's a pretty short window of time to have a pool in the midwest. I'm glad we had an inflatable that we bought about 6 years ago and drug out last weekend. Evie and I have sat in it every day since Sunday. I'm currently draining it to refill the air, then put clean water in it. Our public pools are not opening. The ones that are, have very strict residential preferences, and even those people, have to sign up for a 2 hour window. We never used our public pool much, so it doesn't have much impact on us, but there are people who are pissed they aren't opening. I mean, staff aren't hired or trained, by the time they get everything up and ready, the pools wouldn't be open long before it would be time to shut them down.

Hopefully the benefits make up for the decrease in pay- and also not having to pay for camps when school is out. |

I did something to my ankle/leg on my run on Sunday. It's a weird spot so I have no idea what it is. I didn't feel anything pop nor did I hear anything. It just started to hurt near the end of my run. My other ankle had a tendon that was sore for a day but it was fine 2 days later and nothing compared to this. Yesterday I saw a brown bruise and a tiny tiny bit of swelling.
It's just frustrating when I finally decide to take up some cardio and get into a groove and then this happens.

tgrimes, cadence keeps saying her thigh hurts. This morning she was trying to drag it. I have no idea whats wrong with it because her coaches said she gets around fine. Oh and also this morning she said she had partial hearing loss. One of the girls at camp this week has hearing aids and she was asking me a bunch of questions about them yesterday. I'm guessing she's going to want some soon.
