Outdoor patios at restaurants are open as of yesterday, so we we’re going to go out to the winery tonight. Looking forward to a bottle of wine and wood fired pizza.
Today is also N’s half birthday which she hasn’t let us forget 😂. She woke up, made her bed and wrote a card and left it on her bed “happy half birthday and happy anniversary mom and dad” and she asked which was more important to me. Lol. So we’re going to go get fro yo after Ls nap to “celebrate her”

My dad was on the phone with someone in your area earlier, he said they were very excited that outdoor seating was finally opening up, lol. |

flamingo, it’s great. And thankfully it’s June because this is one of the only good months for outdoor dining here. Unfortunately, not many restaurants in our town have patios, so a few are making makeshift patios in the parking lot to fit 4-6 tables. Luckily, the winery we’re going to has a huge patio, but of course, it’s supposed to storm right at our reservation time.. so we’ll see how it goes!

The stylist took me a bit lighter than I wanted. I’ll probably just get a glaze to put on it myself to darken it a little. I wanted a chocolate brown and it’s more honey. It’s pretty, just not exactly what I had in mind. All she had to do was match the color in my ends. 🤦🏽♀️ Picture or it didn't happen!  Sorry if this is huge. About to run in to work. |

Thanks! It is pretty. I told my friend I’m going to give it a few weeks to grow on me. If I’m still on the fence, then I may darken it a touch.

Our house cleaning team is here. It's so weird being here when they are, but I have no where to go and I need to still be available to answer work emails if necessary. So Evie and I are sitting at the kitchen table and they're cleaning around us. These women work HARD.

Very pretty lahdeedah, and I love the style and length! I remember I went darker for winter a couple years back and it seemed practically black after my summer highlights. It definitely took me a bit to get used to it but after that I loved it. So I think seeing how you feel in a couple weeks is a good plan. |

We ended up meeting my sister/nephew at the playground for a picnic and some playtime; it was only around 80 here today so super nice to be out. This afternoon we let the kids bike around the cul-de-sac.
DH is bathing the kids now before we leave them to run off into the sunset for our date-night.

klong11 I didn't get a chance to comment yesterday, but I'm really sorry and I hope you find a better job with less annoying co-workers. I think something at a school would be fabulous, I think that could be win win if something works out.

All of you sending kids to camp, getting your hair done, getting your houses cleaned by someone else and going out to dinner are giving me hope! Salons open on my birthday here (June 22) but there are wait lists forever. I may be allowed into my classroom next week for 30 minutes to collect personal belongings. It’s March 13th there and I have half finished tests on my desks.
Today I got a request to write an IEP for the student I posted in the group about in January. As far as we know, there is no change so that was a punch in the gut.

cagoldi be safe. Our old town is apparently boarded up since it's a mile from the city. Pretty scary to watch the force used around here since Trump can control some police resources outside of the city ones. We also aren't going anywhere but mh finally floated getting takeout at some point, thank God. I'm so over the "what's for dinner" conversation. I voted by mail today, it really should be automatic for everyone, it was so nice to be able to fill out at home. I was most stressed about our judges and the school board picks.

We tried out eating outside at a restaurant tonight. It’s a local place right by the kids swim place and I never see anyone at the outside tables, so since kids eat free on Tuesday, we bit the bullet. It went well. I went in to order, they bought our food out and we never really had a waiter come out- which I was fine with. It felt safe, so we would go there again. Almost felt normal beside me spraying the boys with sanitizer every 5 minutes. 😂

cagoldi Cadence is naked or partially naked all the time. I just let her be. She complains about different materials and tags, etc. Maybe P has a texture aversion. Or does she have any dress up outfits? It nightgowns she's willing to wear?

I applied to 2 different school districts today. We'll see how it goes. An attorney that rents space in our office said she would put a good word in to her various contacts for me and the accountant, which is nice of her.
I cleaned out betta's tank the other day and he is so happy now. Last time I did it he moped around for days. This time he's created a huge bubble nest, which shows he is super comfortable and happy. 🐠

C is the closing manager tonight so he as to “riot/loot resist” the store. He’s writing instructions to the opening crew on how to take it down without ruining it so they can reuse it for tomorrow. The night crew now has the night off for safety concerns.

I’m going to bed in a minute but when I got home my house was hot. I checked the thermostat and the AC is not keeping up. This usually happens every year and the solution is to shut it off and let it defrost. Luckily it’s supposed to get down into the 60s overnight so I opened the windows and have the fans going. DH thinks he had light heat exhaustion today. I got him one of those cooling towels during his lunch break so I hope that helps him for the rest of the summer. It’s hard when the temp rises so quickly, no chance to get used to the temps. It’s supposed to be 10 degrees cooler for the rest of the week too.

kim22 I hope your family and friends were safe last night during the riots. chrisy01 hopefully the precautions your husband took were not necessary and everything is still in place. trtlcrzy My H is in Oklahoma for the week for work. He said it's going to be almost 100 there today. The heat definitely came on fast this year. I hope your H stays safe!
