Clearly MH just needs to continue putting him to bed. Right?

We usually stay in Cadence's room until she goes to sleep. Every once in awhile I'll tell her I'll be right back and just don't go back until she calls me. Most of the time she falls asleep before ever calling for me. Last night I said it and she said, "no way, you never come back!" oops.

tgrimes sounds like you don't have to get used to staying in his room, your H does! J/K I hated getting rid of the paci, good luck!

When I was done with my run, a delivery van pulled into my neighbors driveway. A lady gets out with this beautiful bouquet and rang her doorbell. I hollered at her that I would text her to see if she was home. Called my neighbor and she's back to work, so I told I would take the flowers and she could just come get them when she gets off work tonight. I sent her a picture. She was less than excited about them...
I sent a picture to my H and told him our neighbor must have been a good girl this weekend. He told me to see who they were from...which I didn't.
But she finally sent me another text asking me to tell her who they were from. Again, less than excited. I have received the SMH emoji and the eye roll emoji.
She makes me glad I'm married.

Most nights M is asleep before we leave the room....usually because we fall asleep while she's reading to us. Lol. I told her now that she's a first grader that she needs to go to sleep on her own. She definitely can because when i do bedtime when MH is gone, I don't stay in there with her. Something to work on over the summer. When we switched H to the big boy bed we'd been staying in his room until he fell asleep. We stopped doing that a month or so ago and it stopped him from coming in our room in the MOTN.

Sparky decided she was only going to be in underwear all weekend. This prompted X to want only underwear. So we were VERY busy. I swear it really is like having twins.
Pop picked it up pretty quickly, X is coming around, but very slowly. I think it’s hard for him to know when it’s time to go.
But we’re all just rolling with it. I’m laughing that Tim went from zero parenting at all to simultaneously potty training two toddlers in the span of a few weeks.

Hey. I had my OB check up this morning. Still at a 1 and we postponed the GBS test until next week since I’m on antibiotics still. We picked up lunch at the school and it was so random: a baggie of tortilla chips, container of salsa, baggie of strawberries, 2 string cheese and graham crackers with milk. I don’t know who that would actually fill up. We are going to head to the lake with our friends pretty soon, it’s over 90 degrees today so it should be very nice.

Hello. Busy morning today. Had televisits with DD’s GI and Neurologists. She is getting migraine meds finally and if we see the frequency we saw last summer, she will be on preventative antihistamines as I thing tgrimes had once suggested. I took the kids to see my grandma from her front lawn today and my mom brought her out to sit on the porch.

I can't remember if I told y'all that we decided to get rid of the paci Saturday night. MH put H to bed Saturday night but he stayed in the room with him until he fell asleep. He slept through the night just fine without it. Yesterday I tried to put him down for a nap and he wasn't having it. MH went in there and stayed with him till he fell asleep. It was a short nap though because he had to poop. Last night I put him to bed but the kid would not go to sleep. I walked out after being in there for 45 minutes and H walked out a few minutes later. MH went in there twice and then finally stayed in there until he fell asleep. He woke up at 5:30 this morning. I put him back to bed and he fell asleep within 5 min. I got in the shower and I heard him come in our room. He never went back to sleep. I know it will take a few days for him to adjust but I also don't want to get in the habit of staying in his room until he's asleep. When all this started, B was sick and we got in the habit of staying in his room till he fell asleep. Now it's almost 3 months later and we haven't stopped. It's honestly no big deal right now while we are both home and have nothing else going on, but I will need to break that awful habit at some point because it is definitely not sustainable. Right now I enjoy it and try to be the one to put him to bed b/c I just relax on a chair in his room playing on my phone. It's basically my only alone time lol.

This is S too. A lot of time he'll ask me for something like an animal he left downstairs - saying he can't fall asleep without it. In the 20 seconds it takes me to run downstairs and get it, he's asleep. I am so jealous, I wish I could sleep that. FFMC? B is still in his crib. He'll be 4 in August. He just loves his crib so much , and I love that he's stuck in there till we come in. I know we need to bite the bullet, but we just haven't yet.

jewels Dd turned four yesterday, she’s been in her crib until a month ago. Ds the same, they were happy as a clam in their crib, so I felt no need to transition them earlier.

I only transitioned because H was crawling out last November. When he stays at my in laws house he asks to sleep in the pack n okay still. He can still get out of it though. I’m team keep him in there as long as possible!

Lately Miss P has become very attached to a big plastic cockroach and rat we use as Halloween decorations. Dog forbid you get her out of the crib in the morning before she has a grip on them, she’ll whimper “My raaaaat, my cockroooooach.”
Kids are weird.

Well that sucked. As of July 1st, staff goes down to 50%. They said we could get another part time job and they would work with our schedules, we could find a new full time job entirely, or we could just keep working for them and hope for an upturn. That they don't know what August will bring. They are hoping they can say everyone can come back full time, but they just don't know. So, I've started working on my resume and actively searching for a job. This really sucks, but I can't afford to just try and stick it out hoping for the best. You can't pay bills with hope.

That sucks, inthekitty. Is there anyone with a comparable program nearby? klong11 keep us posted. Sucks you have to wait all day. I don't think so. There's a different martial arts school that's even a bit closer to our house but I've heard the instructor is a douche. (That kind of profession is a calling for small-man syndrome Rex-kwon-do types.) There's a TKD studio in town further away but they are like a friendly competitor of the owner (different person than the dick on FB) of our current school so I think it might feel weird. I might try to look more towards the fall to do a trial somewhere, but with Covid everything's operating in a reduced capacity now. We know so many of the kids there and it used to feel like a second home. It doesn't anymore and I'm very firm about not giving my money to Trumpers. On a different note we quit going to our neighborhood cafe because the owner was a Trumper who spread some propaganda BS. It's under new ownership again so we can return!

Oh man klong11. That blows. So does the 50% crap make it so you wouldn't be able to apply for unemployment? If so it seems like just being let go would be a better option. I hope you find something soon that you like better. You are smart and very capable.

That sucks @klongoria. I hope you can find something more stable soon. kim22 so glad she’s getting some meds! What are they putting her on? One of Sierra’s seizure meds is also used to treat migraines. Topirimate/Topomax. If it’s that let me know so I can give you a heads up on some things.

Also, hi! I’m officially losing my mind. I took off work early to take S to her OT appointment. I ran home, changed clothes. Grabbed stuff for S. And left. Drove about 20 minutes when I realized....I never picked S up from the babysitter! So I turned around, went and got her, then back to appt. just a few minutes late.

klong11 you should be able to collect unemployment for when your hours are cut. At least in nj you can collect for the missing hours. Hopefully you will qualify for that while you are looking. And for the additional 600 too. Sorry you are in this situation.

There are actually 2 jobs with the school district I'm going to apply to. Office jobs, obviously, but it would be useful to have the same holidays as Cadence.
