We made it through another week ladies. Congrats to all my forced-upon teachers out there whose kiddos graduated K.

It's going to be another hot day here. True to form, the contractors ran about 5 hours longer than expected yesterday and took forever to finish but it's done. The patio looks great and I want to test out the firepit tonight.

We started Zombieland Douple Tap last night. 2 enthusiastic thumbs up. 👍👍🧟‍♀️🧟‍♂️

The girls had a blast at horse riding lessons last night. It's so fun watching them with their bougie past-time.

DH is on his way down, he should be in around lunchtime.

Tonight we’re going to my sister’s for dinner, BIL is doing a brisket. Last night we went out for Mexican—I am enjoying not cooking after 2+ months of nothing but!

C is currently sulking after losing a round of Candyland, she’s been fake crying for about 10 min 😂 I need to rally B to get schoolwork done for the day.

inthekitty Did you take before and after pics of the patio? We have a pretty crappy patio and backyard that we have talked about doing concrete work on since we bought this place, but that shits expensive, so we've never pursued it. I don't think it's on the list for this summer, but having a nice outdoor space is great.

It's going to be nice here after a week of rain, so I plan on kicking Evie outside a lot. Swingset and trampoline. She also said she wants to ride her bike, so I'll take my laptop and sit in the driveway while she does that. Hopefully work is quiet today.

Today is M's last day of school! She has a zoom meeting at 11 with all of her classmates to celebrate.

Our anniversary is next week but my MIL is keeping the kids tonight so we can celebrate.

I ran at 6:15 this morning. So much easier to do it in 72 degree weather than 85 degrees with the blaring sun.

mwhip I did. I'll post later when on a laptop. It was expensive. We broke up the job and did some last year because it would have been a hefty bill all in one. We figured we have a small yard and will be here at least until the kids graduate HS so we'd invest to have it the way we want it. I usually have a hard time justifying an unnecessary expense like this, but the concrete had a crack the entire way through it so that helped with the decision.

Morning, TGIF! The girls and I need to go to target at some point today so I can exchange my dress for pictures tomorrow (too big) and get H’s dress. I really want to buy a blow up pool too but I think DH will be mad. Yesterday he got an email that Hyundai took out a payment for our lease...that is already paid off. So now we are dealing with that nonsense. They already owe us some money that was overpaid so this isn’t helping. My bum is already feeling a lot better, but not 100%.

H has been watching the 80s Mario brothers show on Netflix lately. It’s very cheesy but if she likes it that’s fine.

Morning! I’m had a good day, almost no pain, and a nice couple of hours with my coworker at the office. She going on leave today and I’ll miss her, since my extended leave will start just before she returns we will not work together for over a year!

Dh is going to sit in a friends yard for a bit tonight, so I’ll have the house to myself, looking forward to catching up on greys.

Mh is about to pack up all the food in our fridge to take over to his dad's since ours is acting up. The temp is slowly rising. Looks like we'll be getting a new one and mh is not happy about it. 🤷
I told him he needs to act fast before the prices go back up.

klong11 have you had someone come look at it? Or is it old enough that it isn't even worth the potential repair and just needs replaced? I feel like I dump $400-$600 in ours annually. By now, I could have paid for a new one.

At M's zoom meeting her teaching have out awards to the whole class. She got the best helper award because she always helped out anyone that was struggling. I cried.

It was here when we moved in.back in 2012. It will be cheaper to just get a new one.

Hi hi. I tried to post this morning but got logged off and gave up. I’ve had a pretty productive day- worked out, went on a walk with L and did some cleaning. It’s just me and L today... I met MIL half way yesterday to drop of the kids with them for a couple of days. We will get them back tomorrow at our nephews bday party.

Not sure what Dh and I will do tonight. I really wish restaurants were open so we could go out. They open Monday, though! (Outdoor seating only) so we plan to go out for our anniversary next week.

My packages from online shopping have been trickling in... I got a jumpsuit from athleta that I think I really like, but also feel like I might look ridiculous in 😂 jumpsuits are in, right?! I even ordered it in both colors to choose from, but might keep both. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This was how our yard looked when we bought it. Last year we demo'd and got rid of the crappy mismatched garden boxes and all the plants. We added the stone path alongside the house and the stone border for the flower bed.

This is the finished product from the other side of the yard. You can't really tell from this picture, but the patio goes all the way to the fence. We used to have an area of grass there that was fairly useless and annoying to mow. Alongside that part of the house we also put in fake grass which was supposed to be the potty for the dog.

I was slammed at work today. I think we all knew that once we opened it would be super busy, but damn it’s been nonstop. We didn’t even have a minute for lunch today.

Hi all, made it to Friday🙌 I'm spent. K is army crawling and need to baby proof this weekend.. definitely harder since big kids seem to only like to play with choking hazards. I guess our region is somewhat opening, but we aren't going anywhere..mh sees no upside in doing most things, but we may try to do a hike or something, or I may visit my mom and sit outside to check on her. Today was the last day for aftercare zooms, but still have 2 weeks of k.
