Both kids are attached to my hip. I have to pry H off my leg when I drop him off at daycare.

M's writing assignment today is about a time she was scared. I swear to you we've been working on it for 2 hours now. She's crying, throwing things, erasing stuff, screaming....it's super fun over here.

I remember it was really bad for you last time. Please see a chiropractor or physical therapist. Mine works wonders and keeps my SPD and SI joint in check. I’m seeing my ob in two weeks and will get a referral! How are you holding up? I’m good. I’ve been taking it easy so I haven’t gotten as much cramping and BH.

trtlcrzy I was just reading something about kids being more clingy since all :this: started--psychological/biological reasons, something about stress yada yada; I have definitely noticed it in B (more so than C.) Of course at this very moment he is not being clingy, just annoying and stubborn. We are truly going to be limping over the school finish line...might have some combat wounds or scars 🤪 I think it was more the case that they haven’t seen grandma and grandpa since sept so she was being shy.

Sometimes i literally want to scream, "in the time you've spent griping/fussing/arguing, we could have done this 10 times!" Sounds like it's time for a glass of vino. Speaking of, paging vino ...hope you guys are hanging in there!

If we fight too much about it, I'm like, whatever, forget it. Pretty sure I'm not ruining her entire education by skipping a few things the last few months. And now that our last day is tomorrow, I'm like, you don't want to do it? Cool. Because if it was really the day before your last day, you wouldn't be doing shit at school either. Anyway, I'm so sorry for how 'fun' things are with her work. I hope your done soon and can send her to play or whatever, to leave you alone.

Well we survived the haircut; C was not thrilled with the mask but kept it on. She got a lollipop out of the deal so that made her happy, but the salon was so sterile-feeling (no toys, retail, etc; stations rearranged, kids don’t get to choose their seat, etc.) Obviously understandable right nor but it was kinda sad FWP: when I made the appt, our normal stylist was not on the list to choose from. I think C would have perked up more for her. (I hope everything is ok with her, her bob-cutting skills are legendary in our area).

It was a hard funeral. She's 47 and a widow. She was in an emotionally abusive marriage for 15 years, divorced. Remarried and within 2 years he was diagnosed with cancer. They only had 5 years together total and he's gone. Just awful. And this is the first funeral I've been to with the flag folding. That was emotional to see.

We spent most of the day visiting with my step mom. My dad left around noon because he had things to do aka he can’t sit still. Before he left though he had to tell me all about is conspiracy theories with vaccines. I can’t right now with that so I let him speak his piece, told him I don’t agree and dropped it. He’s such a nut. I’m going to make supper shortly and then H has a google meet with her classmates for one last time since today is her last day of school.

I have been feeling very isolated in terms of Cs reaction to distance learning. All of the other kids on the Zoom calls are paying attention and not doing swan dives off the couch. Anytime I seek assistance from his teacher she isn’t a real help and she then starts nitpicking him a bit. Anyway, I’m sorry you are in a similar behavior boat but hopefully you take solace in knowing you aren’t alone.

Yesterday I was picking up Cs room and Marty was standing in the trash can. It was really cute so I ran to grab my phone to take a pic. I came back to find this so now he is a meme. C wanted to make one too. Eta: Marty was not stuck. He came out and then did it again. He is an odd one!

Cadence's school has a portion of the fence ribboned off so all the kids can come by and tie a ribbon to it. I told Cadence she could go with me through the Walgreens drive thru and go tie a ribbon at the school. So she got all dressed up. She even put on "lipstick"(chapstick). She was just excited to go somewhere.

We just had M’s last class Zoom. All the kids talked about heir summer plans. I talked to him about some things he would do this summer and when it was his turn her said he was going to do “nothing”, then playing kickball and cutting grass with Dad. I think he’s feeling the let down of our vacations being cancelled. Me, too kid. Me, too.

lfig enjoy the boat. We were thinking about getting one this summer but I think we are putting it off until next year just to be sure DH’s job stays safe with this mess. Also, we know nothing about boats so lots to learn. I kinda want a one person jet ski for just me to go out on the bay. My college boyfriend had a few and they were so much fun. Find a friend with a boat. They can be a lot of work 😂 jk, my dad had boats growing up and I so so miss going out on the Bay in them.

I’ve talked to several of the parents in kindergarten and 75% are struggling. Especially with the writing assignments. The kids are done.

Adorable but Omg how does she have a jacket on klong11? I know right? She ended up taking it off and tying it around her waist. She said she hadn't been able to wear it out yet and needed to. 🙄

Bust Out Another Thousand! The reason we bought a boat the other day is because our other one needs a new motor ($$$$) and MH was tired of sinking money into it. We bought the new one used, but in much better shape! However, he’s already doing a bunch of work on it and spending $$ to make it “better” and how he wants it. 😂 So we currently have 3 boats in our driveway. Our river boat, the busted ass lake boat that we are trying to sell that needs a motor, and the new lake boat. 😂🙄

Boats are expensive. I agree with using someone elses. My mom has a pontoon and my brother has a ski boat, so we have the best of both worlds. We give them some gas money when we go out. H is interested in buying a jet ski, but we'd have to put a trailer hitch on my Jeep or buy something else. And we don't have anywhere to store it.
When I was married the first time, we bought a new boat. It was a beautiful deck boat. My ex was installing some kind of device on it, by the captains chair. We were at my brothers, so just sitting on the boat while it was on the trailer. So he's drilling the holes to install whatever it was and asked me to go look at the outside of the boat, to make sure none of them had gone through. We had had this boat for a few weeks maybe. So I walk over there and I'm like, Shane, you drilled 6 fucking holes in the boat. I had to walk away, I was so pissed. He was able to fix it with fiberglass patch, but damn dude. For someone so smart, it was a stupid mistake. We never talked about it because we were both so pissed.
