Morning. I’m at work and my job has actually been slow. I’m ok with it though. The night sweats lately have been REAL. I showered before bed and woke up feeling gross, oh well. Nothing planned for this afternoon.

Morning it is around 75 degrees over here and I’m already to hot, this is going to be fun this summer 😂. I just made a giant fresh fruit salad and about to start a crunchy salad with raw broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and radishes. I need to think of a dressing. I’m tired and I want to take a nap.

Morning!
Weird weather is right...it ‘feels like’ 38 here right now with the wind, at least it’s sunny. I saw the northeast is getting snow today 😱
Today: Housework/purging/organizing...the usual.

Morning!! It's sunny but cooold this morning. At least there's no snow? I got in a long run and now I'm sitting on the couch watching more strongman competitions with Colin, he's so into it.
Not much planned but the vacuum I bought myself for Mother's Day should arrive and I'm pretty excited. I'll probably nap later because I was up late on a Zoom HH and woke up extra early for no apparent reason.

We have the faintest covering of snow in weird patches of the backyard. A corner of the deck, a little bit on one of the hillside. I still have done nothing for flowers so I didn’t get worried last night, but my hydrangea which bloom on their own seem to be doing well. I placed an Insta cart order this morning and they started shopping it immediately. I’m trying to put together a Mother’s Day menu.

The girls and I are going to Portland to have a socially distant picnic with my mom. Should be fun. Haven't seen her in months.

My headache is gone and my stomach has settled. It was nice to sit in a dark room and nap on and off yesterday but I’m glad it’s gone.
No snow here but it’s freezing and incredibly windy. We are on the water so the wind is extra strong. Nothing happening here today. I need to have C redo his video for school because he only gave three facts and needs to give four 😒 So annoying but it’s part of his ELA assessment so we need to do it.
I’m planning to get something good for dinner tonight for Mother’s Day. My mom ordered a turkey dinner from a local place for tomorrow and is bringing us a portion. I’m not a huge fan of that restaurant so I figure I’ll treat myself tonight. I just need to figure out what I want.

Oh and I got a call yesterday that camp is starting June 24th as planned. Their plans sound good and are pending the Governors approval but I’m sure they will get it. I’m excited and hope things continue to get better here so I feel more comfortable by that time.

I am craving sushi so badly, and both of the restaurants close to us are currently closed even for take out.

We decided to ride our bikes to the farmers market down the street. It wasn't that great so M asked if we could ride to the bakery. It's about 2.5 miles away. MH has taken the kids before but I've never gone. I really had to pee and wasn't expecting to ride that far, but I was outnumbered, so fine. We ride to the bakery.
We get 100 feet away and MH's bike chain/gear thingy messes up. So I ride my bike all the way home to get the car and pick them up. . I haven't ridden my bike that far since I was 10 and I was hightailing it back to the house so they wouldn't have to wait that long. I think I'm going to die & my quads are on fire.
Now I'm drinking mimosas & ignoring everyone.

We have to pick up meds at the vet next week on a totally different town so I will make sure I pass by an open sushi place.

We’ve been doing sushi takeout once a week pretty much since this whole thing started. I just spent almost $300 at Trader Joe’s today, so we might have to skip sushi this week.

Where’s my flower/gardening peeps? I need help! I don’t do flowers/plants/herbs/anything that lives besides animals and child.
So I bought some potted plants to try and un-ugly the front/side of my house. Ultimately, I plan to do a flower bed sometime this summer. Just haven’t spent the time to prep the area yet. So for now, this will bring some color and joy by my porch.
So...on to my questions. What do I have here? The one in the front had the tag things that tells about it. So I know that one. But the other 3... 🤷♀️. They told me full sun for all of them, and water them every other day or so. I assumed the others had the labels in them too so I didn’t ask any other questions.

Kids both went down for a nap. I’ve finished my test and my homework for the week. A load of laundry is in the washer and another in the dryer and a load of dishes in the dishwasher. C is upstairs battling a cold but he’s almost past it. He came home from work early thinking it could be Covid but it’s not. Now I’m catching up on some tv and maybe cleaning the living room. I get to see cagoldi today.

We had a busy week. We returned to outpatient occupational therapy. We had telemedicine appts with the sleep specialist and the cerebral palsy specialist. They need to see her in clinic though so we will be going there soon as things slowly reopen.
We started putting the pool up yesterday and filling it. So hopefully it will warm up over the next few weeks so we can tolerate swimming in it.
This afternoon we have a logger and skidder coming in to set up to start logging our property. So the next week or two is going to be full of tree cutters, heavy equipment, and hopefully $$$. But then the money we make off the logs is going to pay a dozer to come get the stumps out and level the ground where MH is expanding his dog training area.

chrisy01 every time you or someone mentions putting the kids down for a nap it blows my mind. I am so jealous that you have not 1, but 2 kids who both nap for you! S only naps if he's sick or we're on a long car ride and he passes out. Be stopped napping except when sick sometime over the winter. I often think about how much less this would suck if we had a few hours of alone time mid day!
