klw it seemed slow as hell to me but now looking back it seemed fast. I don’t know, my mind is warped. 😂 My cousin is going to start coming over and help with school work with my daughter. I’m tired of the fight and I think she will be more willing if someone else helps. Fingers crossed, three weeks of school left. After that we are going to send the girls to daycare three days week until we are required to go back to the office. Working from home with kids has been very unmanageable.

The year of suck continues. DH seriously effed his foot up late last night. We had to call BIL to take him to the ED. He has a broken toe, dislocated toe, and 7 stitches. Our daycare provider is sick today so no childcare and I'm running off of 3 hours of very broken sleep.

Yes, April went by so fast but also was tough. It’s hard to know what to do next with the kids. Ideally I would love a part-time nanny, but my H and I don’t agree on this. He thinks we’re getting by just fine but I beg to differ. It’s frustrating.

So sorry PennyCandy! Hope he recovers quickly! April felt like it flew by. Curious to see how things will shake out with things starting to re-open. Our statewide stay at home order is set to expire Friday and we'll move into a phased reopening. L is out of daycare until at least June 1. It will really depend on how reopening goes if we send him back then or not. I am hoping things will be trending better then and we feel okay sending him back. I'd love to have a few weeks of him going to daycare while still WFH. My boss mentioned that discussions are in the works on what reopening will look like for us.

Luckily, most of my meetings are fine with having the kids around, but I try not to do it for our staff meetings. But it ran long last week so the novelty of TV wore off. H was trying to get me to log off early. I'm like dude, shut the hell up. I finally brought Haley into the room with me and told Madison to go read a book. I think he doesn't appreciate how flexible I can be with work since he definitely can't. But it is still stressful for me

PennyCandy Ouch! I'm sorry you have the added headaches with all that going on. I hope you get more sleep tonight. cara get yourself some help! I know we couldn't do this without childcare. Even is we tried to do split shifts, something would have to give and that lifestyle would not be sustainable for us.

Geez PennyCandy , how did he do that?? Hope you get a good night's sleep tonight. ❤️ The weather radio startled him. He hopped up and his left foot was totally asleep so he fell. He hurt his right foot. It doesn't make sense at all. Totally a freak accident. It was an open fracture, hence the stitches. He sees an orthopedist on Thursday. He got IV antibiotics and is on oral antibiotics. They didn't give him any pain medicine so he's hurting, but doing as ok as he can be considering.

I'm doing everything myself and I'm burnt out already. I miss my job and my office. Clients are using me as their own personal nurse line and I don't have the bandwidth to deal with it. We're receiving threats at work and one of our offices has been vandalized multiple times. When this is all over I need someone to take care of me for a while.

I seem to be a thread killer.
We have entered the age of constant injuries. James went through this too. He had stitches twice by this point. Last weekend Z ended up with a giant blister on his left hand after playing with bubble blasters. I still don't really know how it happened. Yesterday, James shut Zach's right thumb in the car door. It was stuck until I could get around to open the door. I took him to UC. It's not broken, thank God. They splinted it for us. He seems to be fine this morning.

Online groups are a good way to vent and cry about life! I'm glad his finger is OK now!
