M pulled a tooth last night. His tooth fairy forgot to come. He's pretty sure she got caught in a rain drop though so she'll come tonight if it doesnt rain....

Watched Tales from Hollywood or whatever the Brad Pitt and Leo movie is called. What a turd. I swear Tarantino thinks he can throw together whatever stream of consciousness BS mixed with some violence and everyone is supposed to fawn over it. That loser jumped the shark in the 90s.

Morning!
Packers will be here 2 weeks from tmrw so time to get serious. I made a to-do list and it keeps growing despite checking things off.
DH just took B to speech and then I’m meeting him at the car place, he had a sensor go bad in his truck that needed to be replaced so that’s getting done today. He’s planning to sell the truck before he deploys in Sept. so after this I would really like to not put more money into it, please and thank you.

PS: we watched Homeward Bound last night on Disney+ ; C lost interest at some point but B loved it. I kept tearing up and then ugly cried at the end when the older dog, Shadow, finally makes it home. Poor B seemed kinda worried lol.

Morning. The kids fell asleep a bit later than normal, but slept great in their new rooms. It was so weird not hearing their little feet stumble across the landing towards our bed this morning (we put up a gate because I don’t want them waking up at night and falling down the stairs). It is Remembrance Day today over here. It’ll be strange seeing and empty dam square for the ceremony, especially since it had been 75 years since WOII ended. Of for a little bike ride to say hello to my in-laws in a bit. I think we’ll order sushi tonight.

inthekitty I agree, I do not get the ‘hype’ surrounding Quentin Tarantino’s movies. Pulp Fiction was good but it’s old; his more recent stuff is not my cup of tea. But I feel like critics/awards committees and the ‘average Joe’ movie watcher are often on different pages anyway.

Morning. Not much going on here.
We got an email from the school about what’s to be expected during May from our school and it looks like we have this week and next week of school work and then we are done. When I read that I let out a loud Hallelujah! The following week the teachers will put out some elective stuff, but I’ll just let M decide if wants to do that or not.
It also said that last week is supposed to be a summer send off luau where we turn in packets, get our supplies back, return library books, and get report cards. More details to come. I’m curious how they will plan to do this social distance style. 🤔

Morning! I need to go back and catch up on the weekend thread. Our water heater died some time this weekend, so there is a company here now replacing it. Thankful that I only had to boil water one day for a bath and can take a hot shower when they're done. Home ownership sucks ass. inthekitty we were supposed to be in Gulf Shores last week, then rescheduled to this week. My FB memories have all been when we were down there this exact time last year. It's sad to see the memories and know we should have been there, so I get it. I almost cried yesterday. |

Morning. I’m currently at the chiro. I took an hour and a half nap yesterday afternoon and then could not fall asleep last night. I tossed and turned from like 11:30-3:30/4. No more naps for me. Today is going to be a long day.

inthekitty I agree, I do not get the ‘hype’ surrounding Quentin Tarantino’s movies. Pulp Fiction was good but it’s old; his more recent stuff is not my cup of tea. But I feel like critics/awards committees and the ‘average Joe’ movie watcher are often on different pages anyway. This exactly. His old stuff was interesting. But now it's like he's trying to recreate that but has forgotten how to make a movie. Like a HS football star still trying to live in his glory days when he's currently balding and has a potbelly. He's a horrible director and person and I wish he'd just go away. There were so many big names in the movie I thought that'd save it. It was a lot of meandering weirdness. It felt like an old telling you a story with a bunch of random extra details that aren't relevant. lahdeedah I wouldn't waste my time. It wasn't even something I thought was worth it to check out once with low expectations. |

I did like some stuff but even that’s been a long time since they were done; Planet Terror, Hostel, loved Kill Bill. And I suspect that Hostel was good because of Eli Roth’s involvement more than Tarantino’s, really. |

It’s chillier here than it should be for May 4th but we’re outside trying to make the best of it.
I cannot concentrate on anything today. I am flirting between projects, and couldn’t make it through the instructional booklet for SkipBo, so we weny back to Uno Flip.

In TV news I stated Too Hot to Handle last night and I am so surprised how hooked I am. I tried to watch The Bachelor for the first time ever this year and didn’t like it so I lumped this into the same category. Glad I was wrong.

Hi hi. N has the day “off” today for teacher planning, so the kids are just playing. We picked up their school provided lunch/breakfast for the next few days. It’s the first time we’ve done it and they were excited for something new and chocolate milk cartons. Lol. It’s nice to not have to think about it.
Did a grocery order to make sure we can have tacos and margaritas tomorrow. That’ll be the highlight of my week!
We did some more purging this weekend. I sold our double BOB and N’s old bike within 2 hours of posting and got the amount I asked for. Chaching!
