Happy weekend everyone. We all had a lazy morning - spending most of it munching on khao nieaw (coconut custard on sticky rice, steamed in a banana leaf - soooo good) and Skyping with family back in the states. The baby must love khao nieaw, because he started moving so much that even my family could see my bump moving all over the place. In the afternoon DH and I took DS up to the pool deck. I'm not allowed to swim, but it was great to sit under the umbrella and watch them. I even got to dip my toes in the water for a bit. All in all a nice day. I think tomorrow involves more of the same

Hi! DD is in the process of waking up so I'm about to to get here. It's supposed to rain today and we have to pick our UTV up from the shop. Hoping to get the last wall of the nursery painted too but we'll see if I can talk H into it.

H is still sleeping, we have an appointment with our couples psychchologist in 1.5 hrs so he's going to have to get up soon. DD is in a great mood doing summersaults and acting like a clown. I'm drinking my coffee and put the Tour de France on again since DD seems to enjoy it. Beautiful scenery but too many shirtless Frenchmen on the sidelines.
Cleaning the house later is the plan, since my grandma is coming to visit with my aunts and cousin tomorrow. I have to track down a bakery in the area, I'm GF so I don't eat delicious regular baked goods.
I hate not having Tapatalk working, mobile sucks.

Lazy morning so far. I ate some leftovers. And now am cooking cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Dh and ds are reading books and watching animal documentaries. The agenda includes some SOLO grocery shopping and then ds quiet time and then dinner with some friends. Before the grocery I should vacuum and get ds laundry put away. But all in good time, right? One day it will be done?

H took DS2 to see his parents this weekend because they missed the kids. 2 kids may have been too much to fly alone with and DS2 is the harder one so H took him so I could have a break. (If you are like why didn't you go too... I'm feel very icky and we all fly up in a month so I'll pass for now!)
I know there are other people with older kids on the board too but just having DS1 (5 in August) is a breeze. DS1 listens better (as he shld) eats better and sleeps later. Plus no fighting since there's only one. We've done a ton of fun mom and DS1 things. Just got back from getting donuts which was a big treat and we will head to the pool as soon as it opens.
I miss H and DS2 but the one on one time has been really nice!

Quiet day (and weekend) here. It is supposed to be HOT, so I foresee a lot of AC based activities!

We decided this am to take DS to watch Cars 3 to give my mom a break for a good chunk of the day. Since we're going to be in town, we'll have lunch at our fav sushi place...the only one worth going to and really the only restaurant worth dining out at. We haven't gone in a long while and it will nice to see the owner. This is going to be the longest I'll be out but I think it'll be ok since I'll be sitting most of the time. Everything checked out stable this week for me at the Dr. And I am feeling pretty good. I'm more nervous taking DS to a movie theatre. Lol!

I had a haircut this morning, went on a Target run, and treated myself to lunch at Panera. It was nice to have some solo time as I think this will be few and far between once baby arrives. Nothing big this weekend, probably lots of cleaning that's been neglected with our out-of-the-house adventures the last few days.

We just went to pick up our CSA share and DD fell asleep in the car. Of course she woke up when we got home and will not go back down. Mommy was looking forward to a nap during her naptime I'm organizing freezer meal plans because if I don't plan it now it won't get done in September! It's supposed to rain later today so we are just relaxing for the weekend.

We cleared out some stuff from the guest room, including some of the decorations from our wedding... 7 years ago.
Tonight we have date night at one of our favorite restaurants that is closing soon. Boo, but I found that the chef is opening a new restaurant in a new location so that's good.

Super busy morning! Dropped off DH's car to get new tires, then came home to yard work. We are downsizing some of our garden and planting grass in its place. Weeded, removed stumps of plants we took out, tilled, laid topsoil, and planted grass plugs. Still a bunch more grass to plant but the weeding was the bigger effort today. Thankfully FIL (who lives next door) saw us working outside and came over to chat and watch. He ended up entertaining DS the majority of the time we were working, which was a huge help.
Taking a break for this afternoon, though I might go get groceries later. We normally do groceries Sunday mornings but with all the yard work still to do, we'll want to knock that out as early as we can before it gets too hot.

Took DS to the playground this AM while H did stuff to get his room ready. Now I'm organizing stuff. Rage cleaning because everything keeps pissing me off. I need to chill.

Took DD to open play at a kids gym this morning and she pretty much had the place to herself for the first hour. H had a hair appointment so we did that after and DD fell asleep on the way home and actually napped. Tonight is H's surprise welcome home dinner so we have that later. He knows that we're having dinner at the restaurant, but he doesn't know friends are joining us.

We had the cleaners over today. There were here for like 8 hours. It was a top to bottom deep clean and the house has never looked so good.
My dad and partners came over to help us finish packing and staging. The photographer comes Monday morning, so tomorrow H is doing yard work and we'll finish up the odds and ends.
Overall a busy, but productive day.

danvers thanks! Dinner went good. H was completely surprised and glad to see everyone. DD had a bit of trouble staying seated, but I took her outside a couple times and she was ok, I think she was just tired.

The insomnia debate. How long do you try to go back to sleep? After an hour and you start to get hungry, do you give up and eat? Or do you keep fighting it and try to rest? Pinteresting recipes probably isn't helpful either. But gotta look for those freezer meal recipes!

Pinteresting recipes probably isn't helpful either. But gotta look for those freezer meal recipes! I keep saltine/graham crackers by my bedside with water, so if I have an insomnia spell and start to get hungry, I just reach over and munch on a few crackers while in bed until the hunger pains subside. I can usually get back to sleep then. If I don't address the hunger pains, I get nauseous and throw up - hence the bedside snack stash.

Round 2 of yard work and we are finally done planting grass! When we moved into this house (almost 6 years ago) the gardens all around it were an overgrown mess so we ripped out almost everything that was planted and slowly but surely made it our own. With the grass planted over the last section, we have finally completely finished the gardens around the house - took us long enough! (It was a lot since we are in a rancher and the entire perimeter of the house is garden!) Now it is just watering, weeding, and mulching upkeep which will be so so much easier to maintain since we've finished planting all the bushes/grass.

Seems a little quiet around here this weekend a hopefully everyone is off to exciting adventures!
I'm on load 1 of 3 for folding laundry. It's the chore I like the least and will put off far longer than necessary. I vaguely remember all the extra laundry from newborn baby days (DD was super spitty) and i'm going to have to come up with some kind of system to avoid this come October. I was not prepared for the sheer amount of clothing one little person can add to a family!

Time seems to be dragging this month. I have some important dates coming up and it feels like I'm just sitting around waiting for them to get here.
I also keep wanting to spend my Target gift card but I want to wait for August and my completion discount! So much waiting over here.

So tired, H let me sleep in but I spent the morning cleaning and prepping for my grandma, cousin and aunts to visit. We had a good visit, my grandma is 98 and seems to be slowing down a bit but otherwise in good heath. H suggested Vietnamese for dinner I was tired and did not want to cook. I decided to get lemongrass chili chicken and did not regret my decision. So good, I wish I had left overs for lunch tomorrow.

We really need to figure out things to do over the weekend. DS is getting so annoying with his jumping on the couch, but it's hard to keep him occupied with his toys. It's just so damn hot out!
Anyway, we both had long naps today, so that was nice.

We had a good weekend spending time with family and getting the last wall of the nursery painted. Dreading Monday coming tomorrow but tomorrow also marks the beginning of third tri for me so I guess I'll take it. I'm also excited for Prime Day this week to hopefully snatch up some more baby stuff on good deals. Hopefully Amazon doesn't disappoint.
I hope everyone has had a nice, relaxing weekend!
