Yes starbuck! E has just started to climb the stairs. I'm constantly finding her on the second stair. I have to use the gate more. Also, congrats on your first offer! May bigger ones come down the line!

Can't believe all these standing and cruising babies! We are no where near that. J loves to crawl and roll. He hasn't pulled up on anything yet either and can only stand for a few seconds against the couch if I put him there!

What kinds of trouble are your kids into lately? J can climb stairs now and it's really annoying lol We are right there with you on the stairs, although he is still slow enough I haven't had to worry yet. He also beelines for the dog water or the cape on DD's Elsa dress when she is wearing it .

Morning. I just sent DH out on a diaper run. We have no plans today which feels nice because I've been so busy lately. I want to take B to the park up by the lake because it's beautiful outside and he's been cooped up in the house the past couple of days. Then we'll be grilling tonight.
I hope everyone is having a nice weekend!

Yesterday we had book club. We read Blink which I enjoyed. I have my bachelor's in psychology and always find books about how the mind works to be very interesting. Then last night we had date night. We ended up going to dinner at a Cuban restaurant which was really good. Then we went to the bookstore and got our next book club book, A Man Called Ove.
This morning I mowed the front and trimmed the rose bushes. I love how the roses look, but I hate trimming them. I'd like to go get a new lock for our garage door so that we can actually lock it. Otherwise, just trying to stay cool. Tonight I'm making homemade runzas.

So we are on day 2 of potty training and it's been worse than yesterday. Gah! We were so happy with how well it went yesterday and now were at 3 accidents by lunch. He didn't nap yesterday and, as usual, is over tired already today. So thankfully we forced him down for a nap now and I'm hoping for a better afternoon.
The downside is that now I feel the need to keep him home tomorrow from daycare to give him another day of practice. With all the excitement and activities I don't know if he'll ever know when he has to go while there. I have to do laundry tonight and pack all 7 pair of underwear to send tomorrow. I should probably buy another pack.

Quiet Sunday! May do surf and turf tonight for dinner at the local Inn. Bought tickets to Circus Smirkus! For those who don't know its a kid driven circus. They only run in the summer I believe but it allows for kids to "runaway" and join the circus. They work most of it by my understanding with guidance of adults. Pretty cool premise IMO.
L isn't even crawling yet!?! He looks like he's gong to start moving soon. I feel like I ruined him because we put him in a walker and then I just read the 6-month report from the doctor on what to work on and such and it says that walkers are dangerous and cause delay in walking!?! He loves his walker, we can't take it away now. I also feel like when I get a bearing on what's up and what's going on, there's always something coming to tell me I'm doing this wrong.

Welcome to parenthood. But really, don't sweat it. You're not doing any permanent damage with something like that. He will still most definitely walk within the norm range! That circus thing sounds cool! ETA: stuff

Cheshie6 yes- do not worry. Some kids don't even crawl. And 7 months is still completely normal, hell even 9 months is, for a kid to start crawling. B crawled at 9.5 months old and walked at 13 but this time around I'm trying to much more breezy about it because eventually they will become mobile and it's a whole different ballgame.

Cheshie6 I have a walker for O. I'm not worried about it. It's not like he spends hours in it!

Cheshie6, keep in mind that we're at the end of the pack when it comes to age. DS2 also isnt crawling. He's been rolling all over the place, but that's fairly recent. There's such a large range for babies to hit milestones, so try not to worry about it too much.

hangry, we started potty training on the 4th and I feel like most of my life lately is spent sitting on the bathroom floor talking to a 3 year old about going pee pee in the potty. So glamorous. We still have more accidents than successes, but we're working on it.

Also, I'm near the front of the pack and H only just recently started crawling (and he's not even really good at it yet lol). And C, on the other hand, was really early with pretty much everything (even though both are being raised similarly and with similar genetics).

Cuban food sounds delicious classymrsa! But what the heck is a runz7a? So a runza is a Nebraska thing my husband loves. It's a mix of seasoned ground beef, green cabbage, and diced onion cooked inside a bread roll. It's actually pretty tasty. Like a beef and cabbage pizza roll?

That's a year down the lime when they retire. We'll be living together in the meantime. It gives us a little time to save cash and we get some extra hands to help with babies while they are still little.

Cheshie6 it is really easy to get caught up comparing your kid to others, and I do it too, but honestly enjoy this last little bit of time before your dude is all over the place and getting himself into trouble. lol There really is no turning back when that happens!

Today was busy and weird. We went to my parents for brunch and dropped C off for a couple hours while we went to a memorial service. The funeral home is on the same street that the art fair is happening on, so that made for a strange vibe. We did stop and get a gift for my niece and a moonshine cake for us.

As a Texan living out of state people don't get the pizza roll reference. My guess is the imagine a totinos pizza roll. I miss pizza rolls. I loved A Man Called Over! I hope you do too.

Re: moving babies J is everywhere. It is absolutely exhausting, to get even dishes done I have to have her in the high chair or bouncer. Yesterday she stood herself up, the look on her face was pretty amazing, she was so proud. She is consistently meeting 'milestones' 2 months sooner than B was, it's pretty crazy.
Ewww to the circus, just no to watching animals being forced to entertain. Gross. #sorrynotsorry
