There are only a few states not closed for the rest of the school year as of now, right?

Morning ladies! Got that in barely. It's been a morning. Just stupid shit at work all morning.
I have to go into the office to help my boss (my regular thursday thing now) and I'm letting Evie go with me. I told her she has to wear a mask and sit in my office the entire time though. No one has been in my office except me in the last month or however long I've been WFH. We are going to do a drive by parade for my friend/ex coworker who lost her job due to the sell of the company, then I think pick up Chinese on the way home. It's going to be beautiful today, so I'm thinking eat it outside then have driveway beers because I need a drink today.

Phoned in homeschool today. She did her seesaw assignment, then I threw on peg + cat. Probably not at her level, but she watched it quietly so I don't care. 🤷 It also has a nice "don't freak out, just stop, breath and count down from 5" to calm down thing each episode, which I'm hoping will resonate with C.

Josie still loves her and I think it has really good math concepts.

My hospital announced they were offering up voluntary leave of absence to any employees through July. If they did so, the hospital would file unemployment for them since our state allows so they could receive that benefit. Is this similar to what you chose? Very. The hospital will pay my benefits in full which is great because we have amazing benefits and I pay a lot for them per month since I'm only part time (they'll pay their portion and mine). I can (and will) file for unemployment. ETA: we can pick between 60, 90 and 120 days. I did 60 to start. I think the employee will be responsible for their part of the premium here. If I was full or part time, I would still be ok with that. The fact that your hospital will pay everything is amazing.

I’m going to start getting quotes for countertops. The places here are doing appointment only, so I’m ok with that for social distance purposes. I want to move forward with something and this will be a good start.

There are only a few states not closed for the rest of the school year as of now, right? jersey's aren't yet but I know they will be. I heard the Governor only has the power to close for 30 days at a time so for now it's closed till May 15th but I know they will announce the rest of the school year. Camps are already closing.

I thought that was nice enough - but the fact that they are paying yours too is awesome!

It's official now that my office location will be opening Monday. Apparently some of the other locations around the state will be opening only from 9-3. My boss is really nice though and said since we're getting paid to work 40 hours a week, we can be in the office every day from 8-5.
Well, I won't because of M. I have no idea how long they'll be okay with that though.

Even if I'm able to get my in laws to watch M once a week for me, daycare is only open from 9-4.

peachsmama MJ is done with a walker already? wineallthetime that furlough sounds like a good idea. I hope it helps lessen your stress for a while. tgrimes I’m sorry. Not that you probably want to pay for it but are any daycares offering to take older kids? Only a handful of ours are open and only for essential workers children but most are taking up to age 13 because of school closures.

Had to run to Home Depot and we found more bathroom cleaner and Lysol kitchen spray 🙌🏻 I was getting seriously low on both and hadn’t seen any in weeks around here.
On another positive supply note, DH got groceries this a.m. and said today was the first time he’d seen the paper products aisle fully stocked since mid-March.

nam2013 way late, but we were bronze this year, too. The only thing I ever came up with was bookends, ha, or maybe a bronze-colored exterior address sign for our new house (clearly we are really exciting people! 😂)

I’ll keep checking though. But we’re still homeschooling every day, so I’m not sure how that would work.

MJ slept until 9! So I slept until 9! Lovely. I have to file fuel taxes today. And meet someone to sell a baby seat. Also sold my bouncer, portable bouncer and walker. Meeting her tomorrow. My love to purge helps with my sadness about my last baby growing.. Same! I sold our baby swing, bumbo and you storage yesterday. Goooodyye baby stuff! I was a little bummed that L and H were born in opposite seasons, because Hs baby clothes wouldn’t work for L for the first year or so. Well, my little chunk took it as a challenge and it looks like H’s 18 month summer clothes will fit L this summer. So no need to by new baby clothes, hooray!

Hiii! I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve posted. The days just keep getting away. It’s finally consistently nice outside, so we’ve been spending a lot of time out playing.
L woke up at 5;30 this morning so he’s on his second long nap of the day. The other two are playing outside and I’m watching our governors press release. Looks like we’re SAH for another two weeks- until May 18th.

My thoughts on your boss tgrimes: This is where leadership would be nice. Instead of that orange moron just keep repeating "open up, get people back to work" that asshole should be emphasizing that those who can work home should and employees should show compassion and flexibility to those with kids. I'm sorry the speech appt was a waste. It's frustrating that others options likely would have worked but it was unsuccessful due to a contracted tech failure.

I think they're really trying to make it work for people while saving money and hopefully avoiding mandatory furloughs/lay offs. I'm sure if I were just told I was furloughed they wouldn't do that!

Thanks to A's cousin, I only "need" to buy things I see and want lol. Her daughter is 3 and was an August baby (MJ is July) so all her clothes work for us. I have 8 totes in my basement going from newborn-3T so far. Her daughter has a super long torso and legs so I'm sure eventually things won't fit but so far so good!

I love that, "challenge accepted", slenle! Probably good that you don't have to buy baby clothes right now, shipping seems to be taking forever from some of these places. He'd be in the next size by the time stuff arrived! I placed a Carters order yesterday for some playclothes for C and paid $15 for expedited shipping, b/c otherwise they were estimating up to 18 business days--we'll be out of our house by then!
