Hah we have a political party here called CHEGA which means enough and they always yell Basta! They suck though as they are right wing jerks. Oh no! I’ll have to keep that in mind. I yell it often at my family. Along with silencio and callate por favor. I’m a dream to live with. Oh we totally use it outside the context of that dumb political party too. I oculdn't live without yelling "Ja chega" to my kids once a day (That's enough!). Even baby blurnette yells chega! for all done. And you are nicer than me! you say please! I'm just yelling "cale a boca" non stop. and PARA! for Stop. lol. I'm also a joy!

Ugh I’m hesitant to even ask. barr and an investigation into Biden Can we even trust anything Barr puts out? They’re trying so hard to make another “But her email” moment. I can’t decide if I think it will work, or that I have enough faith in humanity left that people will see though it for what it is.

Which isn’t to say if Biden has done something seriously wrong, he shouldn’t be held accountable. But he’s been in the public eye long enough I feel like it would have come out by now.
Never mind the fact if it’s about Hunter/Burisma, nobody on the GOP side will see the irony coughJaredcough

It didn’t matter with hillz emails Hit post too soon I mean she was the most qualified candidate that had the most unique view into what the job entailed and she still lost partly because of that excuse.

Y’all want a peek into my tinfoil thoughts that keep rolling thru my head? Biden keeps saying he wants someone who can do the job on day one. What if He’s gonna pick either Liz or kamala, Both were strong candidates and serve for a year and then cite health reasons and resign?

Or two years then the two term doesn’t apply. In which case I think Harris because of her age

I think it’s going to be Kamala or Susan. They’re the same age, offer a lot to the ticket, but my thoughts on who has the edge changes daily. Sometimes multiple times a day 😂

Barr was asked about that during the hearing last week and he refused to say he wouldn't drop some nonsense two weeks before the election. He will.

Saw this anecdote in an old daily flip calendar I use:
There is nothing wrong with a good political joke—unless it gets elected.
2020 has been a disaster but we’re gonna at least get this right come November.

I think Biden fully intends to serve a full term. He’s wanted this forever and there is some ego there that he is the right man for the job. Unfortunately at his age, that may not be possible. That’s just reality. But I do think age should be considered for that reason alone.

Does any Democrat.out there think having two septuagenarians be POTUS and second in the line of succession during a raging pandemic that targets older people is a great idea? Would they still think the same if Kevin Starburst MCarthy was Speaker? Because what?!

And I'm sorry if that seems morbid. I hate thinking it, much less typing it. But you can't just ignore this virus. And that's not meant as a knock against Biden or Warren in ANY way. Truly.

I'm in MA and recently realized that Kennedy is primary-ing Markey for our senate seat. Obviously I have to go read and watch some of their debates - but I shamefully don't know much about the differences between them or if they are substantial. Anyone have insights?

My district is on there! I'm really hopeful for our candidate. She ran in 2018 and came close to beating the incumbent (a 19 point swing from 2016) and he's just pissed more people off since then.

They really don't have any policy disagreements of which I'm aware, but Kennedy thinks the safe Senate seat us an area to have more of a young, aggressive leader on progressive policy. Markey is progressive but isn't well known because he doesn't do things that get a lot of attention, KWIM?
