Also, please add me to the “I feel like I could puke” club. Watched Holidate on Netflix and it was cute, but I didn’t feel like i fully enjoyed it as much as I could have.

The most common names? I guess for boomers. I mean the guys names are all pretty classic but the list of girl names is very dated. Because this place, I have nothing against those names. It's very obvious the age demographic that answered these polls though lol. Yeah, if there’s no Jessica, Ashley, or Emily on the list, it’s pretty clear what generation is missing. Jennifer is pretty high up there though.

I don't have cable or network TV. Where's the best place to keep up tomorrow night?

It will probably be streaming there, or on their Roku app. My antenna doesn't get PBS well anymore so I watch on the Roku all the time.

This tracks with what I'm hearing from voters. The conventional wisdom is that Biden voters voted early or absentee, but I'm talking to a whole lot of Biden voters in PA who are voting in person tomorrow. I'm not so sure the early returns there will look as rosy for Trump as he thinks they will. Can confirm there are a lot of PA voters voting tomorrow. Including my SIL, who has never voted in her life. Registered this year, and is voting in person tomorrow for Biden.

I cannot surmount my fear of the phone bank, but I've done a ton of text banking. Trying to do more this morning. But there are so many volunteers logged on, the site can't keep up.

As much as I'm a basket case about the WH and Senate, I'm feeling good about the House

Also, if anyone needs a dose of LB optimism today, let me know. I got you. Hit me with it. I'm in need. Okay. So, Idk if I am in the minority here with feeling optimistic, my new job has had me SO busy so I have not been in the politics threads as much. I will start my novel by saying, that yes, I am nervous even though I am optimistic. I want this shit to be over. Ok. My reasons for feeling good. 1- Exit polls from the primaries: These showed Biden winning more handily in areas that HRC struggled in. 2 - Trump is not bringing in anyone new. He has been and always will pander to his base of supporters. It's the same shit as 2016, with an added failed record in a lot of areas, that have turned many Republicans (see Lincoln Project) off. Again, he has not brought in scores of new people to his side. 3- He lost the edge with senior citizens. Turns out they don't like being sacrificed as tribute during a pandemic. Go figure. 4 - He lost the edge with suburban white women. They wouldn't vote for the lady, but, they will vote for Biden. 5 - My personal conversations with people. My SIL as I mentioned earlier never thought politics affected her life. Then, covid and Trump. She realizes now. She registered to vote and is voting for Biden. I talked with Libertarians, all voting for Biden. A hardcore Bernie supporter that I know, who promised he would REFUSE to vote for any other candidate that wasn't Bernie, is voting for Biden. (FYI - all of these people are in Pennsylvania). When I phonebanked, I talked to people who were registered Republicans for several years, who switched parties this year and are not only voting for Biden, they are voting STRAIGHT DEMOCRAT. They are angry. 6 - This pains me to say. Biden is a dude. People who did not want to vote for HRC, will vote for Biden. Maybe not all, but a lot of them will. 7 - The youths. Voter turnout among the youths has been going up. Remember those teenagers from Parkland? They are old enough to vote now. Remember all of the kids that showed up in support of them when they went all over the country? They can vote now. 8 - 2018 mid-terms. Look at the areas Democrats made huge gains. That was just the beginning, and so much has happened even since then to make the case that this fucking experiment with Trump has failed. 9 - States that used to be red........are in play now. See Texas. See Georgia. Look at the work on the ground people like Julian Castro, Beto O'Rourke, and Stacey Abrams have been doing. It's remarkable. Our country's dynamics are changing.....younger families moving in that are more likely to vote blue than red. 10 - Trump's actions regarding protestors. Enough said. This is another huge motivating factor across all communities to come out and vote against him. I know a lot of Democrats have voted by mail already and these will take longer to count. This does not sway me when it comes to knowing who won sooner. I think a lot of people are still planning to vote in person tomorrow. I think Trump is going to get his ass kicked and I think the Republicans are in deep trouble with the Senate. I think they know it too. They committed actual political suicide ramming Amy Coney Barrett through. They know it. And if they don't they are really stupid. To me, it was an act of pure desperation to hold onto some form of power. I may be so wrong on this. I am still nervous. But, I really have good feelings about tomorrow.

MH, MIL, Mom and I are voting in person tomorrow. Hoping to tip that scale, as well. I'm nervous about Gary Same. He's such a quiet, non-showy person and people forget that he's there, but he does a good job and we need him. John James has been flying under the radar recently and I worry about the number of people that will ignore his previous standing with Trump and vote for him thinking they're hiding their racism by voting for a Black man.

As much as I'm a basket case about the WH and Senate, I'm feeling good about the House I'm really hoping they're wrong about Upton and Hoadley pulls out a win. That would be enormous locally.
