trtlcrzy good luck on the test and how scary about your mom! I hope she recovers quickly. Was she showing any other symptoms? wineallthetime how stressful for you and your H. I hope he hears good news quickly. klong11 out of coffee?!?! I ordered a case of 84 cups from Amazon a week or so ago. I'm drinking 2 cups of coffee a day now instead of my usual 1, so I stocked up! Nothing happens in my house before coffee. I literally get out of bed, get a cup of coffee and part myself on my sofa to catch up on FB and drink, before my work day starts. Dr appt was fine. I saw no one else in her office, so that was nice. I avoided the elevator because even with a mask, I didn't want to be in that small space with strangers. So 4 flights of stairs, with a mask, holy shit...that was difficult!

Maddie's teacher starts having more formal school assignments today. Some will be available online but we can't pick up the packets until Wednesday (they're staggering by name so there aren't too many people there).
At least from the description it sounds reasonable and she made it very clear this is trial by error and to do what works. She plans on having small group book clubs for the kids which I love.

I got cookie dough prepped last night but the recipe called for refrigerating overnight. I'm looking forward to fresh cookies today.

One they got her heart rate down and gave her fluids she has started feeling a lot better. After I’m done with my test I’ll give her room a call and ask her how she’s doing. As far as I know there is no one at the facility she’s been at that has tested positive.

I haven’t worn a n95, just a paper surgical mask. The first couple days I wore it was rough, but by yesterday I was pretty used to it and it wasn’t bothering me as much. Still don’t love masks.

I shouldn't joke about it, because it isn't a joking matter, but I literally thought to myself, it's like snorkeling, I have to change my breathing patterns so I feel normal. And I was just wearing a cloth mask, not even the N95!

Today is the Monday-est of Monday’s. A storm came thru and The neighbor’s TREE fell on my husband’s truck. Not only does it effectively block both his car and my car into the driveway/garage, but it brought down all the utility lines coming from the street to our home. So no power/internet, and we’re basically last on the utility company’s list to fix.
This all happened about 10:30 this morning, and we had had a showing of the house scheduled at 12. So I’ve been cleaning all morning, house looks amazing, but obviously had to cancel that.
And to really put the icing on the proverbial cake, I called both the PM office and the PM’s cell (went straight to VM, natch—I’m not supposed to have that #). So when someone deigned to call me back, they freaking blocked their # so we can’t get ahold of them again. You just have to call and leave a message and hope someone responds. They are so terrible.
I swear this house is cursed.

You need out of that stupid house flamingo! What a mess! I hope the utility company gets out quickly! Funny story...there is a FB page called Bomb Deals, they have all these great prices on stuff from Amazon, I've bought lots of random shit that we likely didn't need, but the price was so good! Last week, they had a post about their 'after dark' deals, or adult only deals. So I liked the page. most of what they post, doesn't have pictures, you have to click on it to see what it is. So I did a few times last week. I mentioned it to my H yesterday, so if he saw some things on 'recently viewed' under Amazon, he would know why. Well, the first thing he saw was a suction dildo and we both laughed. this morning, I'm working away, and I get a text. It's him, telling me if I want to order it, to go ahead, just make sure I'm home alone when it comes in, so Evie doesn't open it. I literally laughed and explained to him that there aren't pictures on the posts, you only know the price and savings, so I randomly click on things. Apparently my H thinks I need some sex toys during my time home!

I need to call the pedi about MJs 9 month appointment. I'm not sure what they're doing about well visits. I don't want her to get behind on vaccines though. peachsmama out doctors office sent out a note that if vaccines are due they will have us come in but if it is just a well child visit with no vaccines they will get rescheduled This is what they did for Poppy.

Hi girls.
Easter was nice. The kids enjoyed their baskets, my dad and SM stopped by to wave hello from the patio and blow kisses through the window. They brought the kids some treats.
Our Spring Break was last week and now we start the distance learning with some programs and I am completely overwhelmed by it. IDK how to have him do apps. This should be interesting.

I’ve got good news and bad news. My mom’s covid test was negative but they will keep her hospitalized until she can breathe on her own. She’s on oxygen now.
And the first 2 draws came back just fine but the 3rd was high. One more draw and we shall see what my fate is. Dang it.

cagoldi, are they apps that we can help with? Maybe somebody else on the board is also using it? trtlcrzy, i’m glad your mom‘s test was negative but I’m sorry she still has to stay in the hospital. Fingers crossed on that last draw for you. flamingo, oh no! Hope everything can be taken care of quickly.

We have apps, but since Dude has no idea how to navigate anything I need to be present constantly. This is bullshit. His teacher sent an agenda of fifteen slides just for today, each one has a couple activities/assignments on it.

All the distance learning stuff at this age is so hands on. I have no idea how parents homeschooling multiple grades right now do it. At least the older kids can use the apps and websites with minimal supervision.

trtlcrzy , do you need 3 of the 4 to come back normal? I don't know how it works. Also glad your mom is negative but hope she gets better ASAP! From my internet research in order to be diagnosed with GD you have to have 2 high results. With 1 you are instructed to do some dietary changes.

My drive home was crazy. It was whiteout conditions leaving the hospital, but didn't last long. DH said it was a snow squall. Then there was a big accident in the way of where I needed to go so I had to take a detour. Then when I got home I discovered that my phone was on the fritz. I can't click on anything so I'm using my old, slow iPad. The dumb thing won't even let me turn it off. I'm letting it rest and then I'll try again.
