I just picked up a giant grocery order. I disinfected everything and cleaned all the fruit and veggies. But guys, they subbed my Chardonnay with....white zin. White zin! I haven't drank that since college! That is not an equal substitution. Did a high schooler make that sub? I'd call and complain.

Morning! Infusion day here today! At least I didn't have to take off work for it since I am working from home! I think tomorrow I am going to go to the office and grab some things to make working from home more comfortable since it looks like we will have at least another month of this. Did anyone bring home their monitors/keyboard/ect? I hate working from my laptop and am considering bringing my 2 monitors home. Lol. But I don't want to be too...extra. And if it was just going to be a week or two I would probably stick it out. But I feel like I will be more productive if I have the comforts of my dual monitors and a better...spread. Especially since it looks like this is going to be life for at least another month. I don't know. I am probably overthinking this too much. I signed out a monitor and took my mouse. I took my keyboard too but I have a Surface Pro and I don’t have enough ports and prefer the mouse. I miss my dual screens too but even having a larger monitor has been a huge help and my back/neck are much happier.

All this wine talk is making me want a glass of something! When I was in Italy in college, we struck up a conversation with a group of older locals at a restaurant one night. They were delightful. Can’t recall the details now but one of them sent over a bottle of strawberry wine made from berries on his property, or something. I’m not sure if it was actually delicious, or we were drunk, or what, but that stuff was SO good. I’ve never had any since and don’t want to ruin the good memory by trying it again in case it actually tastes like cough syrup 😂😂

And I normally only like a very dry wine, but I do love prosecco with some strawberries in it .

S’s infusion nurse was supposed to be on a plane to Hawaii today and we were supposed to have a different nurse for the day. But since she didn’t go, she’s here. So before she got here I dug up a seashell lay and a bracelet that says Aloha, and a flower clip for hair that I bought in Hawaii 10 years ago. I figured if she couldn’t go there, I’d bring a little Hawaii to her. She cried over the sentiment. Lol.

I'm drowning y'all. This homeschooling schedule is a bitch and I'm still trying to fit in my 40 hours of work. It...is not going well.

We can back with a bunch of bottles that were SO good....when we were drinking and only having a few sips. We have since learned not to buy what we don't typically drink because that was a major disappointment later on 😂

Happy Anniversary to the jewels and flamingo couples! tgrimes I’m sorry this has been so overwhelming. I’m not even trying to work at home and just getting M to sit and focus has been something. I’m just getting to today’s work - at 330 and he just saw a cat out of the window and ran to see it. 🤦🏽♀️ ::closes blinds::

That is so sweet of you, lfig! tgrimes, I’m sorry! Would it worth a note to m’s teacher to see if what can be done to modify the assignments so you have the time to work and help M?

Happy anniversaries, jewels and flamingo!! I'm sorry tgrimes. Colin had a good 4 hours of work today, compared to maybe 2 most days so far. Brutal. I know the teachers are walking a thin line, but he needs constant encouragement and guidance at this age, so it becomes overwhelming FAST. Definitely having a drink tonight.

And now all Texas schools are closed until May 4th. May fucking 4th.
Today Cadence explained to me that addition is like when you go to a party and subtraction is when you leave a party to go get ice cream or go to the dentist. Wtf kind of parties are these?!?

jewels and flamingo happy anniversary! tgrimes I’m drowning too. The girl I do inclusion with is 23 and lives with her parents. I love her but I had to say today “nope, not willing to do an hour long class Google Hangout after our required hours.” Today alone, my dog was vomiting while I was on the phone with a student, DH dropped and broke a coffee mug while he was on a call, my bathroom got covered in glitter, I had to leave T unattended on his Kindergarten hangout, and C yelled “I saw daddy penis” after he walked in on DH in the shower, while DD was having a virtual flute lesson and DS was in a virtual math lesson. Make-up hasn’t happened here since my niece’s wedding on the 15th.

My two watched a squirrel that was in the street for a few minutes today. We are near a corner so cars come flying around...I was so afraid that squirrel was going to meet its maker with an audience. I have learned I need to get everything loaded/printed out/whatever before we sit down to start, b/c if we have to pause for some reason the train (aka B) goes off the tracks.

I wear makeup if I’m leaving my house for some reason. Like I’ll wear it tonight to work. Our power went out for like 20 minutes this afternoon. We just decided to go outside and play.

Wow, these expectations just sound crazy. 4 hours?? B's teacher said we should be spending about an hour a day total on the activities/work they have sent out. Sending hugs your way, Texas ladies. And hard liquor. My soul died a little when they cancelled school for the year here. lfig that is the sweetest.
