How is everyone? So far my morning is fine, but E is staying home with me all day, so I'm sure it will be a trying day...glad I got wine and beer Sunday.

I'm sitting in my dark office, also known as my kitchen, checking work emails, so that I don't wake the monster. We are expecting more rain today and with E here, I likely won't get out to run until H gets home from work. I will do another 7 minute workout and she is going to join me.

The alarm on H's work truck went off at 12:50 last night. I woke up to hear a horn honking and slowly realized it was his truck since both our vehicles are in the garage, under our bedroom and our neighbor that our bedroom is closest to, doesn't park outside. It took me awhile to get him awake and I ran to the window, by that time, the honking had stopped, but the lights were all flashing. He turned it off and made sure it was locked, then went outside and didn't see anything. Our Ring also didn't pick anything up, so it was weird.
It made me paranoid and took me awhile to fall back to sleep. I asked our neighbor if her Ring picked anything up at that time.
It does make me worry, with the way things are, that someone would try to steal it. It's a 100k truck with 100k worth of tools and equipment on it.

We've been talking about getting cameras since before we moved in because you can't see down our drive way from inside the house. I keep telling A to just order some but he wants to research. Ugh. Just get me something I cant check from my phone when I hear a car!

We live off a busy road so ours constantly goes off, i turned notifications off LONG ago. But it has come in handy when we needed to pull video. It's only $3 to save your recordings monthly as well. We have been happy with it, although I think our doorbell is slowly dying. We've had it probably 3 years and it keeps losing it's connection to our WiFi.

PDQ
Our governor issued SIP for 2 weeks starting tomorrow. I'll find out today what that means for work. I hope I can work from home and still get a paycheck without having to take leave.

Hello from a house full of cranky! My work is going down to 25% of staff so I'm only going in tomorrow. Will probably wfh one day to offset some of the PTO. I typically work 6:30-3 but have to do 10-8:30 tomorrow.

inthekitty I like your SIP of 2 weeks more than ours, which is until April 24th. I feel like we are extreme. People would know after 14 days if they have symptoms or not. Although reality will probably be that everyone will have SIP orders issued for a minimum of 30 days eventually. But with so many workers deemed essential, I still don't see it slowing down much.

I have so much rage toward our VP of Ops guy right now. He emailed me asking if I've had luck finding hand sanitizer, clorox wipes, or masks.
We have over 1500 masks in our facility. Closer to 2000. They are just regular surgical masks, not the N85/95. But still. I mean, people are sewing masks and donating them to hospitals. And we are sitting on a STASH of them. I told my boss over the weekend to recommend that we donate them. I just said it again. But he claims our employees are using them and our corporate office needs them as well.
We have 40 people on the production floor. So keep a few boxes of 50 and donate them. and you know what, if we run out, SHUT DOWN.

They just cancelled all final exams for high school over here (big deal, 50% of your grade) and all organised events until June 1st. Not sure about schools, for now the decree stands that they are closed until April 6th, but I don’t see them Re-opening at that time... I’m trying to work at home, but it’s just blegh.
In good news I got a gorgeous bouquet of flowers delivered from my friend as a pick me up and I delivered pink tulips and bubbles to a different friend and her kids, send some cards to my sisters and grandma, spreading the positive vibes to help us al keep going!

Morning! No big plans here; at least the sun is out. I started working on my dresser yesterday so I’ll keep that up today. Oh, and laundry. Barber shops, salons, etc. were ordered to close tmrw for 30 days so my H took B down for one last round of haircuts. C was *so* upset that she couldn’t go Poor girl has probably been the most cooped up of the 4 of us—she asked today if she’d ever see her teacher again. Breaks my heart.

So obnoxious, mwhip. I get everyone is trying to protect themselves but come on! We now have to wear the same mask all day at the hospital unless we absolutely need to change it. Not ideal at all.

wineallthetime He justified it that 18 people are wearing them daily, 2-3 masks per day, some people are wearing 4 per day. For 6 weeks, we would need 1350 masks. WHY ARE PEOPLE WEARING MULTIPLE MASKS DAILY? If someone is exhibiting that many symptoms, they need to be sent home. I'm so glad I'm not there.

Morning. We had a rough night last night. S woke around midnight uncontrollably crying. When she finally calmed down she said her ear hurt, I looked with my otoscope and sure enough it was bright red. She woke up again at 4 crying so I gave her more Tylenol at that time. This morning she woke up saying something was in her ear. I tried to look at the eardrum but it was hard to see, I think it might have ruptured. I can’t take her to the doctor today with my quarantine status so DH will have to take her to urgent care when he gets home from work. It’s raining this morning but I’m hoping it stops soon so that we can venture outside this afternoon. I need to sit outside and get some fresh air. mwhip that guy is seriously out of touch with reality.

My boss asked me where all the masks are kept. I think she's thinking about going up there after hours and taking them, to donate. She's as infuriated about this as I am.

Wow, tensions are high. One of the docs lost their shit at our morning meeting. I think my boss is handling everything really well all things considered so I really didn't think the response was fair. Yeesh.
I need to call my other boss today to find out what the NG wants. I'm dreading that.
I welcomed SIP being issued for our state. Too many people just doing what they please and too many workplaces still having people come in to unsafe conditions. I feel really bad for the people being put in risky situations at work because they have a boss who apparently can't read a news article or two and thinks this is all fake.

I normally don't coffee (a NW sin, I know). I have never even drank a full cup. A few years ago when I was in a really boring school for work I'd have a 1/3 of a cup in the afternoon because I was dying to stay awake. This morning I got a large chai with a double shot (I've never ordered a large and never 2 shots) thinking it would last me most of the morning and it's almost gone.

Oh and can I just say, I hate hate hate all the videoconferences, drinks, meetings etc where I have to see myself constantly. I’m way so selfconsious to see/hear myself constantly (insert shudder).
ETA I’m happy that the option is there, and my kids use it a lot to talk to my nan, sisters etc. If I want to talk to them I’ll make a normal call.
