Just got home from spending the evening with my BFF. I had 2 wine slushies and a pork "salad" from a food truck. Sadly, the cupcake truck was closed when I went for those.
I guess I should be kind and reward H.

jess213 home ownership definitely sucks some times! Hopefully it won't be too much of an expense.

Anyone else buzzed? I just had 3 ciders at my parents' and I'm feeling good... Me. Drinking melon liquor, vodka and tonic while watching Jurassic Park. Such a good movie

Damn CestLaVie sorry you got so sick. I glad they didn't mess around and gave you the IV and meds right away. I remember how magical the IV was when I got food poisoning when I was pregnant. Random but did YH ever hear back about that job? I hope you're feeling better soon!

It's not that late. Is everyone is bed early?
I've been in a funk lately so I haven't been posting as much. Didn't want to bring you all down.

Peekaru, thanks. Last night I did the math. If we stay in our house for another 5 year (with our house increasing in value at 3% a year) or sock $800 a month, we end at the same place. Though admittedly staying doesn't wipe out the debt. The more I think about it the more I don't want to move. We would need to fence in their backyard. There was talk about finishing an additional room in the garage. We just finished our attic and that took forever. Hell no to another project.

skinandbones I think PP have given solid advice and things to consider. It would make me nervous too. I think if you decide to do it, you outline a written agreement, just in case. The savings could make a potential impact for your family long term. If you did that, is it possible to rent your house, instead of selling? At least until the term for first time home buyers is done? I like the idea of renting your current place rather than selling it. Also a huge +1 to writing up an agreement if you decide to move forward skinandbones. I feel like RunsforWineandCarbs made some really good points...if you don't like it and if you feel like this could turn into a gift/all strings that are attached to that, I'd be very hesitant...but jeez that savings could be helpful... this is a tough call. skinandbones I'm still catching up but where does your H land with this? I think he really wants to do it. Like really wants to do it.

This is tricky skinandbones. I say go with your gut on this...there just seem to be so many drawbacks to it, you know?
