So we should expect tomorrow's numbers to be really high then? That is my guess, but I wish they would get it together because then it gives people a false sense of why numbers are high.

same lady same.
I am so protective of her so I want to yell but I am also so anxious.
Knowing this could cause preterm labor and her blood pressure rising and now she can't see her doctor for 2 weeks and I am a mess, but I also need to relax and remember she is about to be 29 Monday and has a husband who can worry about her and I need to focus on myself and my family.
Oh no! I hope her symptoms are mild and she is over it quickly.

I'm sorry angelashly. My sister is prancing all over like she was never sick, got lucky enough to be scheduled to get vaccinated Fri, and is leaving for Florida to visit her ILs and grandILs that night 🤦♀️

She said they all have developed fevers hers was bad last night but she is otherwise feeling fine. Her mother in law also tested negative I am guessing she had their kid Friday. I am telling you I don't buy what she is saying the hospital is saying, but I don't think she is lying I think they are just not sure or whatever.
I asked her if they asked where she could have gotten it. She said she told them that Friday she left work ran to walmart and came back to work and she had a slight cough, but that she didn't think of it. Saturday night she was tired and got a headache and was really bad Sunday. So they are saying her exposure was Friday based on Sunday being the day that the symptoms got bad and I just................................ you don't go to walmart get exposed and then come back with symptoms.

I think contact tracing is nonexistent at this point 🤦♀️ I just got a text from the granddaughter of the lady across the street that her step-grandpa is in the ICU and wanted someone to know she's home alone. They just got home a week ago from a trip to TN and TX to visit family. I feel bad and hope he recovers, but it's also like people (in general) are asking to get sick by not staying home. About a week ago an ambulance took the older guy next door to the hospital too. We saw his wife driving him somewhere a few days ago and he was wearing a mask in the car so I wonder if he has it too. We are locking down tight over here. I don't even want to take a walk around the block.

Our neighbor told us yesterday that the house behind them to the right the husband died from covid and the wife has it now. The fact that she keeps telling me that her husband and MIL are negative leads me to believe they really still aren't taking it seriously.

My sister sent me a picture of my nephew at daycare and in the background there's a teacher with a mask under their chin standing directly over students. This is the same DC that had 4 teachers have covid after Halloween and didn't report it to the state and didn't have teachers wearing masks unless parents were present.
I cannot believe how stupid they are being.

Guys I am nervous about eating out again now.
My sister said only 1 person has gotten tested who is her best friend because she is saying she has symptoms. the other who is saying she has symptoms is going tomorrow and another on Saturday (no symptoms) the rest of her people were told by their doctor that they need to watch for signs for the next five days but because it wasn't their household not to test unless they get symptoms............................. only 2 of her staff were pulled for quarantine for 5 days and those were the 17 year olds and they weren't tested.
Like she said next week would be the week they may have to close if people get symptoms.
They were at her house buffet style food for hours and I guarantee not one had a mask on during that time and she had clear symptoms on Sunday. WTAF

angelashly someone posted on Nextdoor by me that their daughter was exposed at a fast food restaurant and they're not requiring anyone to quarentine unless they have symptoms because food services are "essential". Makes me nervous to eat out too we've only done takeout though where they offer curbside or have a drive thru. I'm going to place a curbside order for Aldi tonight, hopefully to pick up tomorrow, and I'm hoping we won't have to get anything else until after Xmas too. We've had bad luck with skim milk going bad early though so I might have to suck it up for 1%. The kids drink whole and that's been fine.

My neighbor called me crying because she's so worried about her husband. At least she didn't come over 😬. I guess he's been able to text her from the ICU but can't call and he told her the treatment is helping and he feels a lot better. She lost her first husband at a relatively young age and one of her sons a few years ago so she's had her fair share of heartache. I hope she doesn't get sick too, they're both in their early 70s

Omg and I’m supposed to believe people are only getting it from gatherings? Like this outbreak If many get it will get blamed on a group gathering when really they all also work together. I’m not saying it wasn’t the party because I’m sure it was but my sister got it from not a gathering and I guarantee if it spreads it’s coming from her staff fixing food

If people would take the damn precautions it would help so much.

A local hot dog place ( that I happen to have worked at for high school and loved) had 1 employee who tested positive and had not even been at work shut down for 2 days while they got the place professionally cleaned and then switched to drive thru and delivery only

Saturday There is a disclaimer on the dashboard that says case numbers may be slightly lower today as we work through technical issues.

Which is ridiculous because we didn't even have these problems in the beginning. We've been at it for almost a year now. How do we have new problems popping up??

I find it hard to believe that our rates have gone down so significantly. We shall see over the next few days I guess. It would be nice to see us continue to trend down but I’m not optimistic about that.

I think there's just less people testing in general. They just assume they have it and don't get tested unless they have to.
