We're hanging in.
Schools are closed til 5/1 -- thankfully our district passed an emergency resolution of pay hourly staff (me) during our closure.
DS and I are sheltering in place/quarantine right now. It's not mandatory in our state or county yet, but best practice so here we sit. Cleaning the house, purging, etc.

Well, our governor has waived 20 of our required 180 days. Our district originally closed until 4/13 but Holcomb decided to step in one day this week and close all public schools until 5/1 -- days after he said he'd leave it up to the districts to decide.
I'm good with it. The general feeling is we won't go back this year. We're doing eLearning 3 days a week (M/W/F) and using the waiver days 2 days (T/Th) for teacher planning.

That's the feeling here, too stitchBut on paper we're only closed to 4/6. I strongly feel like he's not going back this year.

just slugging away at homeschooling here. This is our 4th week of it. Tomorrow starts "spring break" & lasts all next week. I honestly thought they were going to skip it.

I'm failing (or so it feels like) at homeschooling. I'm definitely not doing this week's work as it's all based on Mother's Day and it feels self serving. I'm really down, this year would have been a great year for DH to help DS with Mother's day as he's interested in helping cook, interested in giving gifts, etc. FINALLY! But DH is on a ship. It's great because it means we have an income so I feel bad for feeling bad. Real single moms have it worse, and I feel bad that I'm not more grateful. Anyways, DS is in preschool which he went in early due to his speech delay so I feel like this year has been a wash. The most I've been making sure is that he's getting his 20 minutes of reading in, and we are working on counting. That's all I can manage.
DH is on his ship, and we'll see how long he's out. I'm stuck solo parenting probably till July! (At least that's the rumor) Luckily, I have friends and co-workers willing to shop for me so I don't have drag my 3 year old into a grocery story trying to him masked, or not touching things, and I live someplace where a lot of people think this is a hoax or the flu because we're in a rural area of Trump supporters.
