Morning!
B has speech today so I imagine C and I will sit outside in the car, since I haven’t heard that they’re closed or anything.
After that, Flamingo’s Homeschool will open for business, I guess🤷🏻♀️

On an unrelated note, C has entered the Barbie phase and is all in. I played Barbies multiple times yesterday and am currently helping build a Magnatile house for them. I’m tempted to hit Target for some more Barbie stuff after DH gets home, although then my presence would probably be requested more than it already is 🤪

Morning! I ran an ELA lesson this morning on Inspector Hopper Mystery Year. It’s a page turner!

Morning! I think I'm all better today, H stayed home.
Evie was on Spring Break this week anyway, so nothing different at our house.
Things are super slow at work this morning. I think I'm going to skip the gym until everything is back to 'normal' which will allow me to leave work early as well.

I am at work and it feels weird. Like I shouldn't be here.
MH is home "schooling" S. And I am here probably just today and tomorrow while we close everything up here and we have to lay off a ton of people. But we can't get the final paperwork from corporate till tomorrow so we have to make all these people come in tomorrow, just to be let go. It's awful. It's times like this I miss it just being me, and no one I have to wait for answers from.

I was hoping MH would be able to start WFH but his company was hacked last week by another country so they're hesitant to give more people access to WFH. Blah.

Damn jewels, that sucks about laying everyone off. Are they aware? That is my concern here if we are told we have to work from home. I'm fine, pretty much all office staff could easily WFH, but we have 30some production employees who won't have any income if that happens. How are people expected to pay bills? Will they come back to our company when everything is okay to come back?

We did homeschooling today, it went fine. I really felt it gave ds a sort of calm, he didn’t have to choose what to do, he just followed his schedule. I went out this morning (on my own) to get some supplies to keep the kids busy, micro garden thing, blank flower pots that can be painted, crepe paper for arts and crafts, those kind of things. We’re not hoarding in a major way, but our fridge and pantry looks like it’s the week before Christmas! We’ve sort of put ourselves in social isolation, which is sooooo weird. My mom did came over for a little bit, but we just sat outside 1.5 meter apart and the kids weren’t allowed to cuddle her. These are weird times.

However, our industry literally shut down overnight (entertainment industry). So everyone is just sort of sitting here waiting and asking what is going to happen. Most of our competitors did the layoffs Thursday/Friday and some companies have preemptively shut down for the next few weeks. My old company laid everyone off except like 6 people. There is literally nothing to do. So yeah, everyone except our warehouse and technicians can work from home. But there's no work. And no money coming in to pay people. My company should be able to weather the storm, but so many smaller companies are going to go out of business with 0 income for the next month. This is beyond depressing.

Also, I love my kids, but the thought of 4 weeks (which is just my assumption, could be longer) home with them and no socialization is killing me.

I love spending time with them, but we usually do lots of outing! Museums, zoo, train rides, family, coffee places etc. because I get cabin fever easily. for now it’s at least three weeks... it wouldn’t surprise me if it turned in to a lot more.

I'm at the office and there's only 3 of us here. I wonder how many people are at our Houston office today.

Morning. I’m at work. They were screening all visitors coming through and no kids under the age of 12. I’ve already washed my hands 50 eleven times. I’ve also been wiping stuff down because I have not seen anyone here do it since I’ve been here. I mean it may get done, but I haven’t seen it when I’m here, so I can’t trust it.

Morning. I picked up some workbooks at target yesterday that I’ll probably break out at some point. N is really bummed about not going to school especially since she was off all last week too.

I'm at work. I believe most people are here. The partners and office manager have a meeting at 10. Cadence's school district is holding a press conference at 12.

They eliminated pretty much all restrictions on unemployment and pretty much everyone is eligible. Not perfect, but its something.

Hi ladies. Sorry for those of you at work who will be hit financially by this. ☹
Today I think school will mostly consist of reading solving the mystery of The Eleventh Hour. Did any of you read that as a kid? I was obsessed. Very intricate. Lots of codes and critical thinking involved.
After that they can go feral.

I'm sitting in the parking lot at the groomer. I just dropped zorro off and Mallory is mad at her car seat, so we're just hanging out for a few minutes. My mom has the boys. Her company eliminated all in person visits with patients. So she's calling 115 elderly people to tell them she's not allowed to come check on them. Very sad. She's taken one patient with no family under her wing. I'm pretty sure he'll be at our holidays from now on lol.
We haven't had any snow days except one, so the district is treating today and tomorrow like snow days. Virtual learning will start on Wednesday. Luckily I forgot to turn in Matthews homework packet for March last week so we can finish that and I ordered a handwriting book. Because his print is so messy. Might as well work on it while we're home.

Morning from the FL keys! It was a loooong drive. But our AirBNB is amazing and right on the ocean! We ordered a box of Home Chef meals before we came and brought them with us so we can cook in and not have to go to restaurants. We are practicing social distancing on the beach and staying clear of others. We will probably miss out on some of the things we were going to do because we don’t want to be around the crowds...but I’m ok with relaxing on the beach just us!

That's beautiful lfig! And good idea about the Home Chef meals. I like that idea for when we go to Alabama, if things are the same in 6 weeks.

We were planning to do that anyway for at least some meals, just as an attempt at not spending too much $$ eating out. But once things got a little crazy I upped the order and when it arrived Wednesday, I froze it so they would travel better and have a bit longer life.

We aren't supposed to hold any in person meetings, unless necessary.
Our VP of Ops just sent out a meeting invite for the entire company to discuss preparedness, but that we all have to stand a distance away from each other. Uh, isn't this what we should be avoiding? 80 people standing around, but not closer than 6' of each other? So stupid.

Morning ladies. We are having a lazy morning just hanging out. Our school is treating today through Wednesday like snow days so no learning expected. They already had no school at the end of the week. As of right now school is still on for next Monday but they won’t make a final decision until Friday. I wish we were having the warm up now so the kids could be outside playing most of the day, but no such luck. It’s rainy and cool outside right now.
