Freaking Friday!

I thought I’d give all of you an early start of the day .

Tgif! What a week, it wasn't even anything bout of the ordinary, but every part of the day is exhausting. Sorry I haven't been keeping up much.

Anyone kind of spiraling about coronavirus? Mh went to Costco last night and picked up some stuff (in addition to regular groceries). Our federal response seems to be lack luster thus far.. I'm trying to be rational but can't wrap my head around schools closing and working from home for an extended period. My friend's sister is a doctor for infectious diseases and said to have 2 weeks worth of stuff at home. My goal today is to find a primary care doctor so I at least have someone to call if i do get sick.

Hello from FL! The palm trees and GREEN as the plane taxied in was a lovely sight. We just landed and are headed to my parents’ for breakfast. DH and I will head out with the realtor at 12 while my parents take the kids out for burgers, trampoline park, etc.

tallb I think the Dutch are known for their ‘down to earth’ point of view. For now I’m in the come what may mindset, but I’ll have to admit I’m a little relieved it doesn’t seem to affect children that much.

I’m here, too. I probably wouldn’t travel to China right now, but I don’t see us really changing our everyday lives at this point.

tallb I’m not really concerned about the coronavirus at all. I’m much more worried about influenza. Last I saw there are a total of 14 cases of CV in the US.

Morning. After I drop S at school I have to drop my car back off at the body shop so they can fix the scratches they made while they had it. I’m getting a loaner car for the day, I better get my car back before EOD. Other than that probably just hanging at home.

Work today. Apparently I’m an event planner today, I’ve put an option on a big cinema and a cultural centre, for two separate events. I love doing stuff like this. I would like a career as a wedding/event planner 😱.

We had an appointment at the paediatrician yesterday because of ds’ weight/height. He’s 46.5 inch, and on the bottom line of the normal curve and just shy of 40lbs. His weight isn’t even on the charts, but according to the doctor he’s doing very well and is extremely healthy. He was surprised that he got trough the flu season so well. Knock on wood. For now we don’t have to come back untill we’re worried again .

Dh is away for the weekend, so it’s just me and the kids. I’m actually looking forward to some time alone. Dh was really sweet and put fruit salade in the fridge and chocolate truffels, brownies and a magazine on the table for me .

tallb After 45s lackluster press conference, that’s when I started doing my own research and figuring out what I really need to know.

I’m not in panic mode, but I am at the point where I think I should pick up a few extra supplies and whatnot for just in case.

One thing I am not sure of is travel. I was planning a San Diego trip end of summer, but now I don’t know if I want my kids on a plane in July until we see how things develop over the next few months.

Cadence has her fun run today at 10. Mh is going. I also assigned him the task of the kittens booster shot appt at the vet this morning at 8. Hey, if he's taking the morning off he might as well get things done. I hope he takes a lot of pictures and video of her. I had to remind her that it isn't a race and it's just for fun. She was still saying she was only willing to run 1 lap, but then she say the course and there were inflatable tunnels and shit, so I think she'll run more than 1. She raised 39.50/lap and earned all the prizes except for the biggest one, which was an electric scooter, that was 50/lap.

My MIL got the kids and I'm at work. I think MH & I are too tired to do anything exciting tonight but we have plans for dinner tomorrow night with some friends. Kid free weekend will include laundry, cleaning, purging and yard work. Fun fun fun.

Agreed, i think i just started doing a bit more research and then seeing people get reinfected and how it's so hard to track us what's making me anxious. In relieved it doesn't seem to be too serious for kids, but then worry about all the grandparents and if they get it, and it is more dangerous for them.. mh is also amped up bc their office is doing work remote tests and the markets are freaking out. I'm okay with not having any big trips planned at this point. I got H1N1 in NYC after running the marathon, and that was ROUGH.

I'm honestly more concerned with all the regular bugs going around right now that are so bad than I am about Coronavirus. But we shall see how the next few weeks go and if it spreads further over here. My friend's sister is a public health nurse and she is starting to freak out and she went and got supplies in case of a quarantine. Obviously she knows more than the rest of us so that's making me a bit nervous.

Morning and happy Friday. I still don't feel great, but I discovered TheraFlu helps and I can still function. I can tell the dose I took this morning is almost out of my system because the headache is coming back, but I can't take anymore for 1/2 hour and I have a fucking meeting to go to. I understand why Evie was the way she was all week though.

I'm not worried about coronavirus for myself or family. It's had an impact on my workplace because we import so much from China, so I've been following it. What I have seen, it more devastatingly effects people with already compromised immune systems (which is why I understand tgrimes worry). As long as I'm washing my hands and following proper hygiene (rules for daily life), I think I'm okay. I can't worry about the unknown.

Morning. N is home sick today. She’s been complaining of a sore throat since last night so I thought it would be best to keep her home. This is the first day she’s missed all year so she’s kinda bummed about that.

I’m not too concerned about corona virus yet, but hopefully it doesn’t spread like wildfire. And hopefully it dies down instead of getting worse before we go to Miami in April.

I just ran to Walgreens for more TheraFlu. I grabbed the nighttime version. I loudly said 'Son of a Bitch' at my desk.

I'm sorry! I'm an asshole! I did get it on the way out the door to TKD so I was going to respond afterwards and then completely spaced it. I'll have that number until the day I die because I'm very attached to it. I appreciate the offer but I don't have those streaming services so I'll wait for it. We've been watching a lot of Disney+ stuff lately so the girls have been happy with watching shows they completely forgot about for now. Thank you.

Re: Coronavirus

Funny it was mentioned because we just talked about it at our team meeting and afterwards one of the docs who specializes in Occupational Health/Public Health chatted with a couple of us offline afterward. She is very concerned about it and clearly thought our leadership on top does not have an appropriate response to it (shocker, when has the Orange Asshole handled anything well?). Her bottom line was have enough food/household goods to be holed up in your house for 2 weeks. Wash/Lysol a lot. Avoid crowds.

Personally I think the crowd issue is hard to avoid. The grocery store is crowded. I'm kind of taking the asshole response at this point and want to be cautious, but also hope it brings down travel prices. We still are going to DL in May and I hope it's died down by then.

Just ready for the weekend here. I've got a packed schedule this morning but hope to stay on top of it and am determined to leave on time and maybe a little early so I can get in a long workout tonight.

Afterwards I want to take an evening walk. MH and I used to take a 2 mile walk every night no matter what the weather and it was really nice. I do TKD most evenings so it's not like I'm just sitting there in the evenings, but we hermit afterward. Sometimes Cass starts whining and moping when we walk. I want the kids to get used to it more. She does great when we're on the trails and sometimes runs way ahead, so I want that enthusiasm that spread. I think I'll bring kickballs for them to dribble and toss around to distract from possible boredom to get them into it.

When I was checking my texts the following day I didn't have your contact saved so it blended in with all the political texts I've been inundated with lately and I spaced it. No I'm not going to a Pete rally or canvassing for Bernie! It's too early in the year for me to already be so worn out on this election shit. I really hope all the dems play nice and support whoever is ahead after Super Tuesday. I can't take a repeat of 2016.

I’ve had a few employees ask me about what we will do if Coronavirus hits here. We have a continuation of operations plan so we will be fine. I’m honestly not too concerned yet.

nam2013 C is 47inches and in the 77th percentile. I’m confused.

Not nam obviously, but I think it might be her local growth charts. She's mentioned before folks are taller over there. Here that height definitely wouldn't be on the lower end.
