Not overstepping. OB mentioned that too. He also said that may put me at higher risk for PPD as well and wanted me to be aware so that I would be encouraged to be open about how I'm feeling so that we can monitor both during pregnancy and after. He was again, very sensitive about it and assured me that it wasn't abnormal but something I needed to be mindful of and share with doctors so they can help me manage it. At this point, he didn't feel that medication was necessary, but said he would continue asking me about how I'm feeling emotionally at appointments and that it was a possibility that we may need to go the medication route if I continued to feel that way. Thanks so much for your thoughts! I so appreciate them. Your OB sounds wonderful. I'm so glad that he's encouraging you to keep the conversation open and he's supporting you and your mental health so proactively. Keep us posted on how you and your LO are doing! I'll be thinking of you leading up to your a/s and I hope all is smooth and uneventful from here on out!. |

kait1214I'm sorry for a rough go the first part of your pregnancy. I can only imagine the emotional and physical toll it has taken. Hopefully the remainder of your pregnancy will go much smoother and you can relax and enjoy. Welcome back! ETA: We're due date twins. I'm also due April 9th!

kait1214, Welcome back and please jump in anytime. If you need a break anytime that is totally fine, we will always welcome you back. Sounds like you have been through a lot, but so happy to hear everything still is on track. Many good thoughts that things have calmed and you can enjoy a less stressful second half of your pregnancy. Glad you are also talking with your OB about all of this and your feelings, it is such a hard and hormonal time. ((HUGS))

kait1214, oh my lord. That is a huge rollercoaster. I kind of love your OB for being so excellent and sensitive. I'm glad you are here and its exciting to feel that movement! I agree with Ariel, I hope the rest of the time is just boring AF.

Hi everyone. Late intro. I keep waiting to pass certain milestones before putting words down and I guess I'm there now.
My EDD is April 24th.
This is my 4th baby, 6th pregnancy. Everything seems to be going ok so far. TW - last pregnancy ended in miscarriage end of 1st tri last December and ended up septic with emergency d&c and several days in the hospital.
This will be my first planned hospital birth so I am definitely hoping to hear about people's positive experiences with that. Honestly I've been lurking birth stories on the other BMBs instead of posting here.
I live in New England with my husband, 7yo, 5yo, and almost 3yo and work full time.

Hi from a forum newbie! I have the technology literacy of a 85 year old, but I finally got up the courage to jump right in and give posting a try after being a longtime lurker! I'm due April 27 with my third, a girl. I have two sons: an 8yo and a 4yo. I'm a bit worried how to survive three, but I'm telling myself it will all work out!
