RunsforWineandCarbs, I don't know what I'm doing either haha. I just watch youtube videos and when things look nice I try them I haven't seen Drew Barrymore's stuff before!

Flower makeup isn’t available in Canada widely (if at all) anymore. But from my excessive YouTube watching her beauty sponge and blushes are stand out products. I haven’t heard anything about the rest of her line. Kylie palettes are decent quality For the most part. You are paying a premium for the name. The lipsticks too (same for KKW line). Which palette do you like and I could recommend some other comparable ones to give you more selection to make your choice.

I want to say it was in select Walmart’s last year but got pulled for some reason? Maybe it wasn’t performing in Canada so not worth importing?

I got my order today!! Fenty match stix trio- love the highlighter so much but the concealer and contour are really not the right shade. I will be returning the trio and buying just the single highlighter. Nars concealer- I think I will return. It was the right shade but didn’t cover as well as I need. Or maybe I’m doing it wrong. I’m going to go into a Sephora and ask them to find me one that works and that will probably work much better. Sephora contour blush palette - love!! Keeping it for sure. Smashbox contour palette- I really like the colours of this on my skin. It works really well Nude lip kit- I’m LOling because they are not nude at all on me. I like a lot of them so it’s a win but in my mind it seems like a wide range of colours haha. I think I’m just pale and everything looks dramatic. Verb mist- I have high hopes! Will try tomorrow. I didn’t get my verb samples (both sets!) they must’ve been popular. But I did get smashbox primer which I’ve been wanting to try so yay! You’re the third person I know returning the fenty trio for only one of the products. My other two friends returned it for just the contour bc it’s so natural looking - for no makeup makeup days. I’m hooking on my Nars matte consealer. Love. I find the creamy consealer is so similar to a drug store one I love so I can justify the price. Another fantastic concealer is Tarte shape tape. It’s crappy it’s not sold in store in Canada but Tarte and Ulta deliver to Canada. Maybe you’re being to light handed with it? How are you blending it? Are you setting it with a powder? How did the Verb work out?

I really like that Verb leave in mist! It worked really well! Out of curiosity, what did it do for your hair? I’m enjoying my sample of shampoo and conditioner from them so I’m wondering about other products.

I really like that Verb leave in mist! It worked really well! Out of curiosity, what did it do for your hair? I’m enjoying my sample of shampoo and conditioner from them so I’m wondering about other products. It was super soft after but not oily for having put a shit ton of the stuff in it. It make my hair so so much easier to brush which to me is worth the money. I hate brushing my hair. And the wide tooth comb legit will not go through like it rips (and I thought it would be easier than a brush). I watched a bunch of concealer videos and determined I need some different sponges plus setting powder and maybe even a colour corrector, my skin is just so so pale its like a blue colour that comes through no matter how much I put on. The nars worked ok but not any better than the foundation I have so I want to go there and have them pick it out. It is def possible I did have the wrong colour after all too lol.

Oh and with fenty I think I should’ve done a custom match stix instead of the light one. The contour was really really dark on me and I bet I would like it if it was lighter! It looked really muddy. the concealer was dark too, darker than my foundation so definitely just wrong colours.

I’m excited about the pc points/optimum merger. I have the pc credit card and now instead of earning money off groceries I will have makeup rewards money! Haha stoked. I have $72 worth of rewards right now The only downside is that I could see my DH being like yeah sure use it on groceries haha and all my hard earn optimum points would be gone 😂

easternshoregirl, I haven't tried that but it is intriguing for sure! Haha I'm not sure my hair would be dry by morning! When I put it in a bun in the morning it's usually still wet when I take it out for bed.

Help me! I hate lipstick but want to use color on my lips? Is there a good lip balm or gloss I can use that my hair won't get stuck in?! Buxom is my favourites gloss but my hair can stick to it. For a light wash of color you could try the Tarte Rescue balms. They are very subtle wash of color, hydrating, and no hair-sticking. YSL tint in balm and Lancôme matte shakers could also work. I got a Buxom one in my nude kit and I freaking love it. It is my favourite and I also love the cold feeling it gives haha.

I'm getting a Buxom gloss in my stocking.
Yes, sometimes I stuff my own stocking because I spend too much leading up to the holidays and tell H not to worry about it.

Now that I have gotten a few things working for me, I am trying to zero in on a mascara. Have you guys tried UD Perversion?
I need to go in and find a foundation/concealer that works too.

CestLaVie I’m pretty content with drug store mascaras - lash paradise, luminous carbon black. I rarely splurge on mascara but when I do it’s Monsieur Big by Lancôme. Love that stuff! PTR also has a good mascara but it’s less well known.

What foundation are you currently using CestLaVie? What kind of coverage are you looking for? Skin type? I spiraled on foundation recently (among other things as well haha) and I have a few favs now that I won’t be without again!

I really liked the Tarte mascara I just had, but I also try not to splurge on mascara and just use sample sizes or Covergirl.

I need to try your drugstore mascaras! I bought a green covergirl one and I don't love it. But I don't feel like it's a $30 need either. 45thparallel I want something pretty light. I don't really have skin issues that need coverage, I just kind of want to even everything out. I bought the Perfect Fit foundation but I'm not sure I chose the right colour, it looks too dark or too makeup-y if that makes sense. Maybe I don't need foundation at all, just a good concealer? But I think a light coverage one would be nice for a base.

I like that it goes on pretty cleanly and doesn't get all goopy. I feel like I can put on two good coats and have it looking pretty good. I'm not great at applying makeup so I need all the help I can get. Lash Paradise did NOT work for me! (but probably due to user error!)

Maybe try a skin tint (Mac face & body, glossier, first aid beauty, Lise Watier) or tinted moisturizer (Laura Mercier, Nars, cover girl), or a cc/bb cream (it cosemetics is a fav of mine).
