I do use witch hazel as a toner. I'll have to play around with my regimen though. I've been using a vitamin c serum that feels greasy and may be contributing to the problem. Sent from my ZTE A2017U using Tapatalk Serums I'm no help. I need alll the help. I use ole henrickson (sp?) and I'm not sure the day serum does anything. The night plumps me and I like it.

amichelle723, I was told to start using a toner and I found that really helped a lot. To close up your pores before you put anything else on. I just got cheap neutragina stuff and it has worked well. Porefessional was recommended too but I haven't tried that yet. I'm doing witch hazel nightly and I feel it is working a bit! Ive use porefessional and liked it. I'm trying ELF's pore minimizing primer now and it's okay.

I have. I may try it again though bc I really think my skin is changing. I'm wearing Smashbox today and I definitely see my pores and smudges from sunglasses. Maybe I just need to pair it with a setting spray? I always forget that part. Sent from my ZTE A2017U using Tapatalk On my glasses always move my makeup unless I set it. That for me isn't a primer thing. That's a setting powder thing. Maybe I should say: primer. Setting powder. Are my jam. I use setting spray too but I'm not convinced it does anything aside from making me feel like my makeup is 'complete' What do you use? I've got ELFs translucent setting powder and by 3:00 my nose is shinning through.

Is Lise Watier a thing there? Their primer is very akin to smashbox for me.

Actually come to think about it, there is a black tea serum (a while line) at Sephora that I've tried multiple times as samples. I love it every time but it's so $$$. I haven't taken the plunge.

Question, does primer go on before or after strobing cream?

Question, does primer go on before or after strobing cream? For me after. Primer is my shield between skin care and makeup.

I have weird skin and the NYX angel veil is my favorite primer but it's not the best with my current foundation. But honestly the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray is what you need if you want it to last all day. You could also try baking (setting powder) but my skin is too dry for it.
Primer goes on after moisturizer but before any makeup. ELF has an under eye primer that I love.

I'm in love with my It cosmetics CC cream. It's 50spf and great coverage. My skin is weird and easily breaks out when I change stuff but it hasn't with this. I want to try this next. I have the Nars tinted moisturizer that I LOVE, but it's expensive. I also use Smashbox Camera Ready CC Cream that I like, but again, $$$

I think it is the fresh line. I LOVE the rose petal mask, but it's just too much money. ETA: I see you covered this. I really need to RTMFT, haha.

My everyday affordable one (that I like more than some $$$ ones) is the Rimmel BB Cream Matte. Its a medium coverage on me and can build up to full. I usually just throw that BB cream on with some undereye concealer and foundation is done. Have you tried the Rimmel one?

45thparallel , I was just at Shoppers (lol) and they had a whole display of Physician's Formula (not in the beauty boutique, in the regular cosmetics area). I had never noticed it before. So, I know youve been dying for a follow up this. But yes. My regular ole Shoppers also has Physicials Formula. Its directly beside NYX. I mean, directly... beside... In my defence, I get tunnel vision from excitement when picking lip colours. I feel pretty dumb right now.

From lurking this thread I decided to check for physicians whatever at my pharmacy/grocery store. They had it. I bought a flawless set thing (I'm great with remembering shit! Lol). Has a concealor, cc cream and powder. Tried out the powder and I think it's too light...womp womp...will try the whole bit tomorrow and see..but might be $20 down the drain! Lol!

Too light isn't game over. You could bronze up your face after tongove color back. Unless it's WAY to light. You could always use it to set your under eye concealer.

If it's not broke, don't fix it! My mom still has the one she used on us as little girls. I'm not sure why I didn't buy one when I moved out!!
PS is it a Goody comb? lol

I gave the Benefit porefessional primer a second chance and remembered to use setting spray. After 10 hours and playing outside in the Texas heat I will say it held up pretty well. There is still some settling of makeup in my pores, but not as bad as with the Smashbox primer. Now I'm just even more irritated that I bought the Smashbox one. I held out for months waiting to get it in a birchbox. I finally bought it a month or 2 ago. I don't like it and guess what's coming in my June box. Sent from my ZTE A2017U using Tapatalk Did you get it from Sephora? You can return it anytime.
