Nothing crazy for Valentines day here. I'll get a little treat and some decorations and leave them out for the kids when I go to work. I'll likely get MH a nice bottle of wine and his favorite candy. Thinking we will make heart shaped pancakes for dinner because the kids love making pancakes. A heart shaped pizza sounds good though.

A Canadian chain restaurant does it here in conjunction with the focus of Heart and Stroke Foundation, which their major campaign month is February. So we get heart shaped pizza and charity benefits, it's a win-win all around. |

My BIL is celebrating his 40 on valentines. We don’t really do anything in Valentine’s Day, aside from having a nice dinner together, but I’m still irrationally annoyed by people planning stuff on holidays and thereby decided how others spend their holidays.

Well it appears that HFM has come for us. I mentioned that my niece was over Sat and came down with an awful case of it Sunday. I just got word he's got the fever, rash, ect. Joy.

Fun! What are you planning? We rented a big cabin for a weekend for my parents, sisters and their husbands. Going to cook some nice meals, play games, go to the local brewery, drink, relax, ect! May I come? |

Nothing for Valentines Day for us. Maybe we will celebrate for lunch this weekend or something. Going out to eat is a PITA since everything is so busy. I did just buy cards after the gym, so I at least go that done before Friday!

Crazy day today. I had 1/2 day because I have to go back for conferences tonight. I took DS1 and my nephew that goes to my school out for lunch because everyone else has full day. My other nephew still had a fever so the surgeon sent them to the ER. While my sister was there, the school nurse called that her middle son had been there 3 times complaining he didn’t feel well so I picked him up from school. I’m going to get my taxes done at 4 then I have to be back at work 6-8. My sister was supposed to have my kids but obviously that isn’t happening so with lots of juggling, hopefully we get through this day.

For Valentine's Day, we'll just get a nice bottle of wine and grill some steaks or make some lamb. M has a 1/2 day so I'm making MH take off work to get her. He has plenty of time to have dinner ready when I get home. Lol. We've never done gifts or anything.

We went to the indoor playground this morning, then stopped at the store. Today is N’s last day if school until next Tuesday and the weather is supposed to be awful tomorrow, so I don’t want to have to leave the house to run errands with all 3.
Dh has an awards banquet for work on Friday. Slightly annoyed that we have to break up a long weekend with that, at a hotel an hour away. So we’re making the most of it and bringing the kids, having a sitter come to the hotel and then leaving from there to a resort up north until Monday as a little winter getaway. They have an indoor waterpark so the kids will have a blast.

Not sure if I checked in yet. SSDD here. Another round of bad storms is headed our way soon.
I think we’ve gone to eat solo in the past. We didn’t do anything last year. I was thinking about getting a babysitter this weekend so we could go out for a late lunch and maybe to see Bad Boys at the movies. I usually don’t take MH to the movies because he likes to just fall asleep. Bad boys may keep his attention. 🤷🏽♀️

Just checking in now... Late, but vino I think that would be lovely tgrimes... Same - his right ear too. We were at the pedi on December 30 and he had it in. ENT 2 weeks later it was gone. trtlcrzy eeeek!! So exciting!! kim22 that's a lot! wineallthetime I hope it's quick! |

inthekitty I meant to comment earlier, but I'm sorry someone is kind of ruining what should be a fun thing for you. So annoying, I wish the instructors would step in more. I have seen that in other groups and whatnot over the years. We (general) are so often afraid or hesitant to call people on bad behavior out of fear of losing them, but end up alienating even more customers/members/whatever b/c they are turned off by the bad behavior and inaction.

Be my compass N13. My SIL had to say goodbye to her dog yesterday, she's had him since he was a puppy and he was about 13 yo. I imagine she is a mess. Would it be weird to send flowers? I want to do something. Not at all. My mom sent me flowers after Max passed and it was really nice. |

My nephew tested positive for flu and RSV. They think it’s near the end of both though so he went home. I have scrambled and arranged alternate care for my kids for 3 times in the next 24 hours. Heading to the accountant, fx I don’t owe money.
