We have our new mattress finally on since Costco finally got their sh*t together and got our old one picked up. Hoping third time is the charm🙈.
Today was super busy and I feel overwhelmed at random stuff at work. I did finally submit our camp application though, so that's a relief. Mh had me ask aftercare about the kids vs. parents basketball game...he apparently wanted me to ask discreetly, which I didn't realize. So now he has to be there at 5 ready to play😂 J is pretty excited, so I don't feel that bad.

flamingo I’m sorry it seems like it may be what you feared. Is it the inside of the eyelid, or on the outside? Sounds like you’re in good hands, though. I’ll send one up for you. Thank you. It's kind of on the top(?) and right in the middle, just above my lashes. Kind of a weird spot, IMO, but it's apparently not completely unusual. Usually it's seen in much older people though. Gotcha. I figured it was above your lashes since you went to an eye doc and not a dermatologist. That biopsy must have been something. 😖 I’m glad you are being proactive. |

So this morning when I dropped off M2, there was a news van parked at a daycare across the street. When I left I saw reporters in a driveway adjacent to our daycare.
Today when I pick up M2, there is a letter (that I didn’t pay attention to until I got home) from management about an incident that occurred in a 1yo classroom that caused them to review video and found the caregiver at fault and fired her. They reported it to the state and the sheriff’s dept is investigating. I immediately thought about the camera crew I saw earlier and went to the website. It’s a story about the incident complete with the actual footage. It’s so bad. I am so mad for the parents of the kids in that classroom. My heart races just thinking about it.
Also I now think that they only sent out this notice because of the news story. It happened 1 week ago, so they had that much time to notify all families, but chose to do so after the news caught wind of it. Now I have to figure out how to navigate this situation. And we just paid fees to keep him there for next fall. 🤦🏽♀️

My back has been achy for a few weeks. I laid on the floor to play with MJ after dinner and had to have A lift me off the floor.. once I was upright I tried to take a step and fell. A caught me and got me to the couch. I took some tylenol and laid down in bed. Hoping I feel better by morning. Guess I need to call my chiropractor.

tgrimes I’m so sorry about more sickness. lahdeedah that is a terrible situation. I’m not loving that the footage is made public. I’m sure they blurred the kids out but makes me wonder as a parent can all footage taken of my kids at school be made public?

I wonder if they had to reveal the footage to the sheriff or the state and it somehow got leaked from there? |

Well that’s disconcerting lahdeedah. Hopefully this was just a one-off with a bad employee. On the positive side, at least the school addressed it quickly with the state/authorities and fired the offending teacher. I’d be curious if the teacher had worked in similar roles previously at another DCP and/or if they had a ‘record’. |

flamingo fx your biopsy comes back benign. That sounds like a terrible place for a biopsy, I hope the healing period isn’t too bad. lahdeedah that situation sucks. I’m glad they took swift action though. peachsmama get to the chiro tomorrow!

flamingo I hope it’s nothing. Or at the very least if it’s basal cell that they got enough. To have a removal from an eyelid does not sound delightful

lahdeedah oh hell no. Parents should be asking for video access to their child's room. The DC, due to this incident, should provide that access free of charge.
