Morning I start work at 9pm so I need to take a nap at some point. L is getting ready for school. It’s been a rough morning for him.

I’m taking H to the pedi at 9:45 to see if his tube is clogged. We’re going to a new ENT on Wednesday but if he needs oral antibiotics for an EI I’d like to start them sooner rather than later.

Thank you! He's totally fine. Full of energy, happy, wants to go to school! I was tempted to dose him with Motrin and send him!

Cadence is at school. I'm here at work. SSDD I do get to leave at 2 to take Cadence to dance class. It's turned into my favorite day of the week just because I get to leave work early. I also only have a 4 day work week because Friday I get to take the day off for my endoscopy. Who the crap gets excited for an endoscopy??!! I'm not excited for the test, just the fact that I have the day off.

tgrimes I feel like you should have your own front row parking at the doctors offices. I'm sorry he isn't feeling well again. Ugh Monday. I woke Evie up this morning and she even said 'Monday's are junk.' No shit kid...just wait. We also had a talk after the 2 girls left yesterday and both agree that next time, it's one friend at a time. She even said it wasn't fun at times, since they couldn't agree.

I forgot to schedule C's 6 year appointment so we just had it last week. Now I guess I made the other kids well child appointments for tomorrow? Their birthdays are in March and April... Why the hell would I do that!?!?

I am so annoyed. On Sunday morning I saw B's BFF's mom posted that she (the kid) had the norovirus and was up all night puking. I reached out to her to offer her zofran for her kid and she said she seems to be over the worst of it. This was at 11 AM. She also posted a long meme about keeping your kids home when they have been sick and not spreading the bug, even if it means missing work, etc.
When MH dropped B off this morning, she was in class. I mean, maybe her last puke was prior to 8 AM on Sunday, but given how righteous she was with that meme, you'd think she'd keep her home today.
But really I am just terrified my ridiculous 3 year old will lick her or something and then get the tummy bug.

Ooh I get ya jewels, I would feel the same way as you 😡 The petty jerk in me would want to comment casually to the teacher, “oh little Janie is here? I’m surprised, last I heard she was vomiting from norovirus.” FX B doesn’t get sick.

jewels, oh hell no. I don't care if the kid stopped puking at midnight on Sunday morning. Chances are, with noro, if they are puking, they are probably having other end issues too. My guess is she gets sent home.

Maybe klong11She is a total favorite there. Everyone loves this kid (she is sweet as pie and B is just so enamored with her) and as weird as it sounds I feel like they'd give her more slack then anyone else. Also, she is very independent. So even if she's having other end tummy issues, there's a good chance she's just going into the bathroom and doing her business by herself and no one knows how bad it is.

Morning.
It’s Monday alright. B went to bed last night complaining of stomach pain, then woke up around 5 feeling like he needed to vomit. He made it to the bathroom but just spit up. There was no school today anyway due to teacher planning, so he’s camped out on the couch.
My sister called and we had...not really a fight, idk. I don’t love how we left things, I guess it’s one o those agree to disagree things. I think My hackles were already up a bit bc of a previous conversation so I was probably not the most diplomatic, but I feel like she was being deliberately obtuse. Ugh.
Hope all the sick kiddos are feeling better soon!

Ugh, that's hard flamingo. I hope you guys get it worked out with no lingering issues. It was kind of like that with my SIL yesterday, discussing the shower venue. She kept throwing places out and in my head, I'm thinking how expensive they would have to be. Then she was suggesting places like 30 minutes from me. I don't want to have a long drive, with a car full of shower shit (cupcakes, food, decorations) just to save some money. We quit talking about it and things were fine. But I had to send an email this morning with all the places I called, trying to keep it organized. I really regret offering to host this thing, right now.

mwhip Is there a retirement condo or 55+ that someone lives in? I know it may sound weird but if someone lives there is sometimes a party space that can be rented for so, so cheap. They're generally set up with a sink, fridge etc. I've gone to a few celebrations to places like that and they're always really well taken care of.

Looking for recommendations for kids learning podcasts. The kids prefer learning ones, no stories and I prefer something that is not Australian. Right now we have Earth Rangers and Brains On! and they love them but looking for a few more to add to my rotation.

mwhip I’m sorry the shower is becoming more stressful than fun. This was the one with the huge guest list, right? Is there any way it can be pared down? FWIW, my mom co-hosted a baby shower a couple years back and the MTB had a list of like, 60 guests. Both hostesses have large homes, but neither felt like their living/dining rooms could seat that # comfortably so they asked that she trim the list a bit; she got it down to under 50, and I think they ended up with 35 guests. So still a big shower, but doable. I think you and the other hostess are totally within your rights to ask that they scale back a bit if necessary.

Morning. Yesterday was a super lazy day and I have no idea why I never checked in. I remember opening the app at one point but I guess I must have gotten distracted. Both girls are at school this morning. S said she didn’t want to go again but I convinced her to just try so we didn’t have an all out battle again this morning. After I pick her up we will come home for her to eat lunch, then I’m taking her to my friend’s house for a couple of hours. I have my PT eval at 1.
I hope everyone that is sick is feeling better quickly.

So still a big party but doable. I think you and the other hostess are totally within your rights to ask that they scale back a bit if necessary. So I sent my SIL the list of my side of the family and I did tell her to add to it, thinking she might think of cousins or something. She took that as adding her entire side of the family. My side is 14 people. Her side is 29. She said she expects them all to come. Some of these people live 3+ hours away, so I think it's unlikely they will all show, but I can't really politely question it. So whatever, I'm looking for a space for between 40 to 50 people. Which my moms house won't accommodate. And I'm the only host, all cost will lie on me. My mom said she'd help cover the cost of the event space, but she thinks the first cost I got back was too much ($200 for a large room at our city civic center). I did contact a senior citizen center (booked that day), a winery, golf course and a winery. My SIL agrees that $200 is a lot. She has offered to have her mom host her family, but when I asked the bride, she said 1 big shower would be better, since she is in college. So I feel bad saying I can't financially swing it. I just need to shut my mouth and do whatever...and hope like hell my other nephew doesn't propose to his GF for years.

I could change to a different date, but the bride is in college about 2 hours from me, she's graduating in May, so she's extremely busy. And I remember that time in life, it is busy. Weekends have lots of plans, especially when you're getting married Memorial Weekend, then moving to Texas the next weekend (I'm stressed just thinking about all those life changes for them!). I think she gave me 2 other preferred dates, which one is the next Sunday. There isn't a difference in cost for the space if I do it on a Saturday vs Sunday.

mwhip some hotels have conference rooms you can rent. Or what about having it at a restaurant in like a party room. Then you wouldn't have to deal with decor or food. Pay for group apps, but if they want meal type food/alcohol they can order and pay for their own. Or maybe have it outdoors at a park.
