We have to do a 100th day shirt. C wants 100 skateboards on it but I havent found stickers that dont cost at least $15 to ship. I can't sew and Im not taking the wheels off of 100 mini skateboards to glue them on. I hate this stuff. Are you good on a computer? Could you do iron on skateboards? Do I have to draw? I'm good with normal computer functions but I am unsure what this entails. I such at ironing but DH can do it.

I would think you could just do like a clip art skateboard, shrink it, and copy it...100x. Then print on iron on paper (I think this is a thing)...then iron it on.

Or you could print it on label paper, thus making your own stickers. I do this all the time when Cadence wants stickers of something specific.

H woke up at 12:30 & I put him back to sleep. Then he came in my room again at 1:15. I stayed in there till 3 trying to get him to sleep. I gave up and asked MH for him to try. He stayed in there 5 min before coming back to bed, so of course H came back in our room a few minutes later. Mh took him back and was in his room for about 45 min. We've been giving him melatonin since the last time he did this a couple weeks ago. WTF kid? Of course he got really snotty in the MOTN. I received a note yesterday that there was a confirmed case of the flu in his room. Great. I'm sure it will only be a matter of time before he has it. Can he swallow pills? They make extended release melatonin that has basically 2 layers to it. So the top layer gives of the initial release, then the inside layer releases later. It’s supposed to help with that middle of the night waking. That’s what we use with S. But if they chew it, it is all released right away. So no motn benefit. They aren’t very big. But I know that’s a hard concept for littles, to just swallow it. The only reason S can is because she isn’t a good chewer anyway. She swallows a lot of food without chewing so I have to cut it up well for her. But in the case of the pills...it has helped! How big are they? He's never swallowed a pill before.

Also, morning all!
At 5am I heard Julia come out of her room, little pitter patter footsteps, stop, then back to her room and shut the door. I looked on the monitor and she was up for a second but went back to bed. I go in there at 6.30 to wake her and the waste basket is in her room, when I asked her about it she said that she had to puke. Sure enough there was a little puke in there, looked like the pear from last night. She woke up, said she had to poop and then declared that she was all better and it was time to get ready. Honestly, I dont even need to be around that girl is raising herself.
Then when we got into the car B apologized for crying last night before bed. What was he crying about you ask? Well there is this Raz kids program that his teacher set up for each of her students and as kids read the online books they get points. Well, after 5 books I told him it was time for bed. He lost his mind.
I thought I was in an alternate universe this morning, the girl is taking care of herself and B is apologizing.

vino I am floored at this. when my kids puke it's like a nuclear event. Screaming, crying, lots of help from me getting to the right spot. I can't even fathom that they would take care of it themselves... especially at 3! To be fair, I'm pretty much the same way about it so it's not surprising they are not good about it.

It blows my mind as well. She is the puker, not cold or snotty sick it's vomit. When she's been sick before I set her up laying on the couch with a garbage can beside her and I guess that just stuck with her. I reminded her many, many times this morning that her monitor is on and she can call for me but she brushed it off. She is so different from B that needed me for absolutely everything, it's a weird adjustment for me.

oops I just read your follow up post lfig and I'm laughing imagining S giving out 1 cheerio per person I agree I'd probably do stickers. I'm laughing picturing gross kid fingers touching every Cheerio as they occasionally take a break to wipe snot from their nose and get back to it.

This is what we have...they can vary by brand..next to a quarter and dime for size comparison. And I wonder if you put it on a spoon with a tiny bit of applesauce or ice cream, or yogurt...if he would just swallow it that way. That’s how we have gave S meds for the last 5 years or so....until she started spitting them out 🤨. It was a good run though. Lol.

Morning!
I haven’t seen anything about the 100th day here yet, but we started back after Labor Day. I think this is the last week of Q2 so it’s probably coming up next month.
DH just got home and brought lunch from this gourmet sandwich/salad place nearby. Yum.

Thank you for this. I feel like I’ve been such a Debby downer around here lately. For what it’s worth, I do not see you (or any one around here for that matter) as ‘complainers’. Exactly what mwhip said Nam. You're not a debbie downer at all, it's hard to find so many women in one place that can relate in so many ways, we got you. This X1000.

They make a big deal out of the 100th day of school here. I pay no attention.
Tennis elbow and kidney stones are doing their best at trying to kill me. Infusion took forever yesterday because my new pump is weird, so that was not delightful. The only plus was that it gave me plenty of time to do homework.
I’m not sure what we have going on this weekend. The local Y is having an open house event tomorrow so I am thinking we might stop in to see if the kids are interested in any of the classes.
Dude can’t seem to settle on anything he wants to do. I was planning to take him to a TKD studio next week for an introductory class, but he says he’s not interested anymore. X has Tball starting soon, and Dude didn’t want to do that, either. I have a feeling once he sees X playing he’ll regret that choice though.

cagoldi are you on home infusions or do you have to go in for them? I have always done them at home. Starting to get a significant amount of scar tissue in my veins from repeated use, so that’s super fun.🙄

Hey. I had muffins with mom in S’s class this morning. She was very clingy but gave no cares when I left. I got my oil changed, filled up gas, then ran to target for a couple things. As I was leaving target I got into my car and realized my cell phone was not in my pocket. I ran back inside, asked the self check attendant who told me to check with guest services. No luck, walked back out to my car and there it was on the seat 🤦🏻♀️ I swear I’m losing my mind. lfig there was something about the 100th day in the last email from H’s teacher with a date but no other details. I hope I don’t have to do anything because I don’t like homework. cagoldi I hope you’re feeling better soon.

So much better at home! I was worried it would be weird having a stranger in my home for 6 hours each infusion but the nurse is amazing and I feel like we are friends now. Lol! In fact she started working for a new infusion company but told them she had to stay on with her old company for 1 patient...Sierra. So she works for her new company full time...and then kept just S with the old company. Lol.
