My turn for wall help

We have this little room off the family room that isn’t really anything yet.
It has two glass walls and a glass ceiling so a ton of light.
Most of our house is a light gray/greige (it really all depends on how the light hits it)
Over the spring break, I want to paint the room kind of a very light bluish/greenish. Something very fresh. With white accents for the trim and the inside of the french doors. It’s currently has a tile floor -kind of a mottled white/gray/tan. I’m going to put a large rug in it so the color of the floor shouldn’t really play in.
However, the room has two brick walls in it — one on each side of the doors) and I don’t know if I should leave them and work with them as almost accent colors (we haven’t decided if will be putting wicker furniture in there or two comfortable chairs and a console table/book shelf)or I should paint the brick white or even white wash them.
Ideas on the brick?

I love the look of white washed brick inside so I would do that.

Me too! I looked it up and it doesn’t seem that challenging to do it but I didn’t know if it would work and look right because this isn’t the traditional brick color.

I personally love the dark brick but think white would be pretty too! Our fireplace is painted white. It was painted black when we moved in. It was super easy to paint!

My only concern is what happens if I white wash it and then I hate it. I don’t know if anyway to remove something like that.

This reminds me of that episode of Trading Spaces in which the couple's only requirement was Don't Paint the Brick.

I like the color and texture the brick brings. I wouldn't paint it.

I really like the colour of the brick, if you are hesitant I wouldnt do it cause I dont think you can reverse it.

I say make all the other changes first, and if you think the brick would look better painted with the changes, do it then.

That IS a good idea. I just assumed while I was painting one thing, I should just keep going and paint the other thing.
Also please keep in mind, the last time I painted a room was the kitchen in our old house and after an afternoon I had to call our painter to come bail me out.
I’m hoping this goes smoother.

I am so bad at it bc I am impatient. I can do furniture bc it’s an all at once thing.
I’m really hoping to use this room as my segue into diy patience.

I vote white-wash, simply b/c that particular brick color isn't really doing anything for me as-is. I think the white-wash finish would complement the light/airy sunroom vibe you seem to be going for. I like lahdeedah 's idea of waiting til the end if you're nervous, but I think it would look terrific.

I don't know if you're familiar with Young House Love's blog, guster , but they've white-washed brick in several houses and would be a great source of info. They did the entire exterior of their current home specifically with a whitewash/limewash product, which a design blogger I follow also recommends in this post

I thought that looked really good on the examples she showed. Glad it helped!
