Some family was in town from Texas/California so we had a get together at our house yesterday. Too much wine was drunk and staying up late happened. Today the kids and I are home and I'm dragging. A took a 4 hour nap and L napped on the couch so I guess we are all dragging. Lots of play in the snow. It's 5:15 and I could seriously go to bed. Thankful for MH who cleaned everything up last night after I went to bed so I woke up to a clean house!

No nap for me today, but I did veg out on the couch and binge Sex Education while Cadence was at FILs.
Now we're at dance and they are already prepping for recital. I see a lot of at home practice in our future.

Call me crazy, but would you assume a program advertised for "3 to 6" year-olds would INCLUDE children who are 6? B/c B is "6 years old and 1 month" as of Feb. 1, he is ineligible to play rec-leaguge basketball again. Grrrr. There seems to be a program on base that starts this week, hoping I can call and get him signed up there tomorrow morning. Everything else in town has already started. Nope not crazy. So weird. I don’t think I’ve heard of exclusion from that end of the age range. I’ve seen leagues say they have to be X years old by this date. Weird. |

B/c B is "6 years old and 1 month" as of Feb. 1, he is ineligible to play rec-leaguge basketball again. Grrrr. His info was already in the 'system' from last year, so once I'd updated everything I got the error message with that note about his exact age. (Sidenote: Personally, I think 3-6 is too broad, but more on the 3 y.o. end.) Oh well. Glad it's not just me! |

H keeps changing her mind. A few weeks ago I asked her if she wanted to try soccer and she said no, so I asked if she wanted to try softball and she said yes. Then tonight I asked her the same questions and now she wants to do soccer. So I guess I will wait a little longer to sign her up for anything until she knows for sure.

M was adamant that she wanted to do karate and zumba in aftercare this semester. When it came time for sign up, she changed it to cooking and karate. She's only had one class of each and she HATES karate. I keep reminding her that it was only the first class so it was probably boring and it will get better and better at each class. |
