The day wasn’t so bad. Dinner is done and since the boys all have tomorrow off, I’m taking a breather. I think I’ll put one more load of laundry in before I finish cleaning the kitchen and retreat to the shower.

Humph my post disappeared. I took j to biking and basketball today and now trying to get k to sleep. We stopped swaddling cold turkey and it's going about as you would expect...took like 3 hours to get her down last night and I eventually just went to bed with her. I also dropped off about 6 boxes/bags of clothes finally, but the house still feels so full. Has anyone read The Home Edit? I love their IG stories, I'm tempted to get the book. I haven’t read it, but I started following that cleanmama IG after you mentioned it and I like it for cleaning motivation. I have looked at the home edit IG and it only makes me want to hire them to do my whole house. My goal for this week is to get most of the giveaway boxes and bags out of the house. Right now I only have 1 day off, so if it doesn’t get done that day, it probably won’t happen until next weekend. Their approach doesn't necessarily seem practical and a bit too intense. They are funny and I loved that they did Dan Levy's place last week. I like how clean mama is practical, like if you are drowning, clean ANY surface off, and that will help. I'm at that level most of the time🙈. Oh these boxes I got out today we're so old, I had to open them to see what was in them😂. Not sure why it's so hard. Is it bad for me to donate half the bag my sister just handed down to us? Most are tulle dresses and I don't think I'm ready to go down that path since we have avoided it thus far.

Cake was great. And I hate bourbon. My mil though - lord. Normally we get along great. Except when I'm on my period. Which I am. I was ready to leave after an hour. And bil has this glass top table and the glass is not attached. My boys cant keep from touching/sliding it.... makes me a nervous wreck.

Like it looks great when they do it, but not sure that I will be ever to ever achieve that level in this phase of life. CM is my kind of speed, too. And nope. It is not bad. We get hand me downs from a cousin and we donate about half of it. I just went through the shoes bin yesterday and cleared out all the too small or summer shoes that are either being donated or recycled. I really need to learn to become minimalistic. Maybe I should start on that book...

It was nice getting out of the house tonight. We got a burger at Shake Shack (and my stomach didn’t revolt, so 🙌🏻) and then browsed at Barnes & Noble before heading to the movie. tgrimes 1917 was good. I mean, expect intensity and sadness, but it was an interesting story and the way they recreated the trenches and battlefields was particularly impressive. We both enjoy history so it was right up our alley.

He has been posting about his grandfather's legacy and even annual trips for scholars of his work for years, but I had never googled. I feel quite uncultured.
